Guys, the show is amazing. Netflix made it look like crap with the trailer but it's worth watching. I need season 2 now. Also, you'd never expect your favourite character to be the drug dealing eshay with a big heart. And yes, the inclusiveness is needed because the people these actors represent are very real.
When he ran to Darren to tell him he has loved him since year 8 (12 years old) my heart melted. I cried

I wanted more so i started watching the 90s heartbreak high its on netflix its really dated but if you can get past that is really good and it has 7 seasons 40 episodes i love it im on the second one. it can be really really sad at time so get your tissues but the characthers are so relatble. :D

This show has blown me away, finally a depcition of teenagehood that feels real, raw, authentic and focuses on so many different people and their experiences without ever feeling forced. I need mroe media like this, where the characters are complex, the relationships are messy, deep and real, and all while handling topics many of us are exposed to in a compassionate and authentic way. thank you for this show! i'm ready for more
if you want more like i did the heartbreak high 90s series is on netflix it has 7 season 40 episodes. Its dated but engages on the characthers reall well. It can be really realy sad at times. So get your tissues really im on the second season and im enjoying it :)
I absolutely loved this series. I really hope it gets a second season. Ayesha reminded me of Brittany Murphy at times with her eyes so expressive. And Asher.. WOW!!! She’s so captivating.

It's on netflix and has a lesbian main character. It will be cancelled after 1 season 100%. Unless of course netflix AUS are better than the guys making decision in the US.

This show has so much layers, Netflix needs to make more Australian shows like this and definitely a second season
The final episode really had me in my feels. I cried so many tears for Harper, Cash and Darren. Netflix needs to renew this, the characters are relatable, make you relive moments as a teen. This really resonates with my teens and growing up in New Zealand. Loved this show!!
I’m from NZ (similar to Aussie I guess?) and I can’t relate to at least half of what happens in this show. I’m an 18 year old girl, similar to these characters ages.
@@caitlingill as a 28 year old now, I grew up living a very wild teenage life. It's different for everyone here.
My teenage life was nothing like what they depict on the show (my early 20s was more similar) but the similarities in culture alone were enough to make me resonate with the show, and that’s why I love it.
i’m from nz as well n tbh i like that it’s aussie bc it’s fairly easy to understand the humour 😅 it makes me laugh imagining americans trying to understand what the hell they’re saying. tbf tho, i def don’t understand 100% of the jokes / humour, but i understand majority 💪

I love this show so much, I binged watch it, I love all the casts they were chosen wisely and as someone who's not from Australia I really did capture of How is it like to be a teenager in Australia. Hope there's a season two I really need more of Malakai and Amerie.

Watching this show after graduating yr 12, and having my teen years growing up in Western Sydney, there were so many moments where I was like "yea I had that too" or "I remember seeing people like that" it was familiar. Then as an ethnic nonbinary person there's just so much representation that I could fixate on, that I could connect with. I never want this series to end to be honest, the characters and the actors that play with are phenomenal and engaging. All the crew that put this together did an amazing job on representing a wide audience! Just ughhh I love this show ♡♡

this is a soooo much better show than i thought it would be, being a reboot like degrassi gave me deja vu, i was not expecting to be this good, have seen a couple australian tv shows recently and the level is really good, please make more australian shows
I looove the show. I feel like it represents a lot of people all around the world. Me, in the Netherlands, could definitely relate to these characters. I also feel like I have learned about Australia and its diversity while watching it.

Early!! I have seen this movie on Netflix but I haven’t watched it yet so I added it to my list and i hunk when I’m able to watch it it’ll be a rlly good movie
This was a suprisingly deep, multifaceted, entertaining show. I actually enjoyed it. My only dislike about this stuff is how the over glorify vulgarity and sexual promiscuity but other than that it was lovely, with deep well grounded character. Sign me up for another season_👌🏽

To be honest there are not many schools in Australia that don't have school uniforms. So do they explain why everyone in this school is wearing casual clothes?
appealing to american/international audience, the aesthetics bc most of it takes place at school, also can show the character’s personalities thru what they wear more than in uniform
but yeah it threw me off so much at first
I live in Melbourne, and I would say schools are about 40/60 no uniforms/uniforms. My kid's primary school and high school both don't have uniforms. Unusual for Australia, yes! But not Melbourne.
Another reason could be from a directing standpoint, as school uniforms are very restricting from a directing perspective. It’s much faster and easier to quickly convey to an audience what a character’s personality and identity is through what they wear, because then, even before a character speaks, an audience can have an expectation of what that character is like, therefore requiring less introduction for that character, it’s a great example of “show, don’t tell” that just makes it easier for these kinds of shows.

It was puzzling why Amerie and Harper just did not make up earlier and was reserved all up to the end.
