I appreciate how Dream represents the melody, where as Nightmare has the bass. It's fitting.

I love how at 2:48 it starts switching back and forth between high and low. Gives me vibes of Dream and Nightmare fighting, neither of them winning, but both starting to get desperate because they know that if they keep fighting as harshly as they are, one of them might die
Fun fact, not only do just the highs and lows switch, but I layered the chorus of Dream and Nightmare's themes on one another and cut out piece to combined them together so Dream's high parts are from his theme and Nightmare's low parts are from his

Not entirely sure nightmare can die. You know that time in underverse where dream was barraging arrows at nightmare? He got cut into peices from the arrows and regenerated them. So dream would probably be the one to die.

@@King__shark_ The other way is to threaten Nightmare and actually pose a threat to Nightmare. Dream, as usual will come to his rescue. And Voila, you've got this track knocking at your back door.
Dream would try to get rid of your negative thoughts but Nightmare would try to make you act on them.
Hmm, maybe this would happen if you were a character like Error, destroying AUs. I mean, that would include getting rid of Nightmare and Dream, but besides that, Dream wouldn't want all of those people to die and get hurt. Where Nightmare wouldn't want all of those people to die, because if everyone is dead, no more consuming negative emotions for him, you know?

No, that's my original theme for Dream, Enduring. Coincidentally when Benevolence got released someone thought SharaX had taken part of the melody from my song (but they're actually quite different melodically. That just have a similar structure). Mine was written first though. All the melodies in this song were either from my other two originals or made solely for this.

No, this song is not in any way connected to Shattered Dream. I don't recognize Shattered as a part of my undertale multiverse and would really prefer my themes not associated with them because it makes me pretty upset. This is a fight scene between Dream and Nightmare and that is it. Thank you.

@@dareloh8578 they're everything I despise about the fandom interpretations of Dream, canonly impossible, actively go against everything canon Dream (my favourite character of all time) stands for, and every single one of his core motivations and personality traits, their existence goes against the wishes of Dream's creator, people think he's somehow canon or represents the canon Dream when this couldn't be further from the truth, and also the creator of shattered and me have a really bad history.

I like how the melody is calming at times, and it sounds heroic at times, then the base compliments it, and at other times it’s also loud and deep.
I think the melty-ness of nightmares design is cool but I dunno how to incorporate it even a little bit into another design without thinking its an edgy girl version of nightmare....

two years later i still think this is probably one of your best songs
i really like it, it sound sbeautifuld yet intense at the same time, which is kinda correct seeing the literal embodiments of positivity and negativity fight at the same time
but overall, it has this somewhat sad tone i really like, specially at the start
even if this song had some problems due to people using it incorrectly (which i am very sad about) it's definitely one of my favorites, Duality is always one of the songs that comes to my mind when i think about your channel.

A very pretty, haunting and forlorn mix of their themes. Because at the core of these two characters is a pair of brothers split apart by unfortunate circumstances, and their love for each other is still there no matter how far apart they have grown. Reluctant to fight but unable to avoid it. It's as heartbreaking as their story.
I dont know if Nightmare's love is still there considering Nightmare is dead

The arrows seem to damage the octopus a bit, but then catches the arrows in his tentacles.
A row of bone, gooey and black, goes towards the little guardian. They seem to be made of negativity
However, this did not affect the small guardian.
As darkness is one of his strengths
‘You don’t know when to give up, don’t you?’
Said the octopus.
The little guardian proceeds to send stars, crashing onto the ground.
The stars became smaller stars..
Then went away after a bit of time
The octopus, badly injured, fled from the room.
Leaving just a black gooey trace behind
