You’re right that Dina made mistakes that cost her the gold, but they’re none of the “mistakes” shown in the video except for maybe the pivot and the clubs one… The real reasons were her hoop routine (2nd weakest and easiest in Tokyo 2020) and the fact that she missed a pretty big risk at the ending of her ball routine.
She definitely caught that club on purpose, you can see she is not reaching with the other hand for the rebound and that open palm of her right hand is just in case the club is in the wrong position to catch in between neck and arm.
Can you make the same video with an explanation about Arina? Yes, we all know about her ribbon, but what about all other routines, for which she scored lower than Dina and Linoy? And if Dina for example had some issues througout her hoop routine, I think Arina's hoop was perfect in the final!
Even if she did a little mistakes, she didn't drops a ribbon in a competition!!! You can't win a competition if you drop a subject! Linoy shouldn't be proud of this "gold" medal.
So why was Dina Averina allowed to win the gold medal at the 2018 world championships? With Linoy being completely faultless and clean and Dina dropped the ribbon
Why was the Russian team allowed to win the Olympic gold with a drop? Back in Rio 2016! Why is Russia going off and completely Downing? Linoy win at Tokyo 2020… went half of their gymnasts, have won with a drop! Believe me if Dina or Arina Averina had a drop at Tokyo 2020, and still won gold. No one would be complaining.
no part of the COP says you can't win a competition with drops of APPARATUS not subjetcs, also Dina is the best example of winning gold medals with drops of apparatus :)

Dina was behind Linoy only 0.15 Points, not 1.5 Points like you wrote The one Club didn't LUCKILY landed on her shoulder, Dina did that on purpose, like in the qualifications , during her Training in Tokyo, (RG judging posted a Video from her Club training)and 2 months later she showed that Trick at the WC. The mistake with the Ball was a bigger one, she missed to Catch the Ball with her legs , but caught it at the Qualifikation 2 days before. Yet she got 28.3 and in Qualifikation 27.6, I think thats why she was laughing and pointing at the Scores in the kiss and cry after her Ball Routine . Dina didn't get any penalites, normally If the Jurors think you are behind, they penalizes you,.. but nope , empty "penalty field".. don't know where you got this from? The whole scoring in Tokyo was a mess, but imo all in all they overscored Linoy af , Eva Serrano , the french Juror was biased, she said in an Interview from the 90ies that the "eastern Block is hard to Break" . Very telling....

The interesting bit is Linoy's score for the ribbon, I don't remember seeing her getting such a high score on any competition when she's been clearly perfect...and now with a drop and some steps to get it she receives 23.300, doesn't make sense to me.

@Kira Louise Longoria well to be honest i don't know if it was a mistake because I personally find it harder to catch the ball with a straight arm as she did, so it might've been a part of the choreography, it really doesn't seem to me that she's performing it with a mistake when I'm watching it. But still, if we consider it was a mistake, the highest score I've seen from Dina for this ball exercise is 29,175 on the Ech. The highest for Linoy which I know is from the same competition and it was 28,65 as long as I remember, so they both received 28,3 on the olympics, which is a 0,35 drop for Linoy and 0,875 for Dina, so...half a mark is half a mark🫠
@The world of RG! As a whole, for the mistakes she did, I think 28,300 is a fair mark, as she's been receiving up to 29,200 when she's been perfect. I mean, this is a difference of almost a mark. We can't give her a 25 for that, u know what I mean...

And what about all the years when the Averinas have been clearly overscored and taken medals other gymnasts deserved? I am not against them. I love Russian gymnastics and the Averinas are terrific. But this discussion is pointless. Just because they didn't win gold one time everybody is upset and call other gymnasts undeserving. All these athletes are doing a tremendous job and all of them are equally valuable. Let's not diminish other athletes' work. If the Russian committee thinks they are the best in the world, well then why compete? Why don't they just organize their own tournaments and compete against each other? Where is the sportsmanship?

I agree with you completely. There are so many channels that talk about this topic and most of them omit the mistakes you are showing. I just saw somewhere else when in her ribbon routine the music ends and her ribbon is in the air. Come on! And nobody says anything about this. Besides, it happened during her hoop routine as well. She performed one or two moves when the music was over. I love Dina but what with her back injury Linoy was much stronger that year. That doesn't mean, of course, that Dina has not had a wonderful career and is of course a most accomplished gymnast who is also loved by the crowds.

i'm sorry to say, but the data you show in the video are not correct, there is a lack of knowledge about the CoP and objective scoring. To start with, the Pivot (side split w/ trunk at horizontal) is not 180 degrees, so it's not just ending with one step + loss of balance/stumbling into the hoop (0.6 deduction altogether), but the D itself is not awarded (no 0.5 pts); Ending with no harmony with the music doesn't result in a 1.50 deduction, but in 0.50! Possibly the very last AD wasn't awarded because there was no music during in it, but surely it's not - 1.50! Catching the ball with two hands is just 0.10 deduction, not a big deal at all, for sure it doesn't prevent a gymnast to get the gold medal with just an additional 0.10 deduction in E, etc...

But let’s face it Dina was not perfect, Linoy had a higher body difficulty than Dina Averina… I believe Linoy was in far better condition then Dina as Dina had a back injury, and as a result, she couldn’t produce the difficulty that she is clearly capable of…. don’t get me wrong Dina is the best in the world… By far! And she has proven that by being a four-time world, champion! But it wasn’t her day at the Olympics… i’ve seen Dina produce far more difficulty in the past, for example, the world Championships in Sofia, 2018…. and even there she made a drop, and Linoy was spotless without fault, but the reason why Dina won on that day was because she had the higher body difficulty! And it’s the same at the Olympics Linoy was on top at the Olympics! And I’ve seen your channel and it looks like you do difficulty analysis on gymnasts! I was merely proving that your considerations on the OBJECTIVE scoring of the exercise are wrong. Just that! It's not necessary to be professional judges to read the Code of Points and apply the rules consistently, which you might have not done. Everything is written black on white, available for everyone to read. Aside from that, you have no clue who I am and what my path in judging RG is, you would be surprised! but I can assure you by all means that it's far more objective than yours. Also, I don't make Difficulty analysis only, you should scroll through all my videos and maybe take a look at a couple of them as well to learn something new about how the CoP, deductions, music in RG and all the other stuff works 🥰

I appreciate the girl's work, but fairness in sports is so important. It's not about our fondness or hatred but being fair and respectful of all the athlete's talent and work. We have our own beliefs about this. I believe that Dina deserves the gold as much as other people think Linoy deserves the gold it. Whether you like Dina or not, you should objectively evaluate her routines based on fairness and value criteria that have been set. Linoy's other routines could be stronger but remember, even when Dina was suffering her back injury, she only needed 0.150 to get the gold while Linoy should have received 0.3 more in the drop's deduction. There are some analysis videos that you can watch. Linoy was overrated and that drop should have cost her 0.7 deductions. JUST THAT DROP. 0.150 and 0.3. C'mon! A 0.3 deduction could have made a huge difference! No one denies Linoy. She was good, but def, not the best! I think we shouldn't dwell on this because it's traumatic for Dina and even Linoy. In the end, Linoy was known as the gold medalist. What a bitter truth but we have to accept it. No more dramas, no more hate or criticism. Peace!🤞

With hoop you can here a clear peep when exactly when she is done, so she did just end with the music since the peep is always part of it

No one denies Linoy. She was good, but def, not the best! I think we shouldn't dwell on this because it's traumatic for Dina and even Linoy. In the end, Linoy was known as the gold medalist. What a bitter truth but we have to accept it. No more dramas, no more hate or criticism.
