@@dolleish not really we the people still kept our traditions. For example the dancing is still the same as it was in the past we just kept it low key. Our ancestors danced infront of the Virgin Mary (tonantzin)to worship her. Our ways are still the same since it’s been passed down for generations.
So is the Spanish Empire and there are still Spaniards. The Aztec empire included a lot of tribes from the valley of Mexico whether they wanted it or not. While the Empire is gone there are still descendants of these tribes who speak their native language and still live on their ancestral lands.
