I'd never heard Andrea Bocelli before. His voice is beautiful and very powerful! I had no idea he sang such beautiful music, thinking he was a "pop" singer. A revelation to me!!

I began listening to Bocelli only within the last few years...and when he is older.....And now to hear him doing just this small part when he is young....caused me to just say.....Wow ....Wow ....repeatedly......the purity of power when he was young....but the immensity of feeling when he is older.....Wow.......Reminds me of Carusso ..........Halleujah...

for me, there's no comparation. Bocelli is a "SO POPULAR SINGER" because he was in the right place at the right time. If we go to old school liric singers, we can say that Bocelli is a second hand tenor.

My ears are just fine. Thank you very much. Bocelli is a great singer compared to people who cannot sing. But he cannot sing compared to true opera singers like Pararotti or Domingo.
To be able to judge if someone can sing does not require that you have to be able to sing. You just need to have the ears which I have. People who consider Bocelli is at the same level as Pararotti or Domingo have no ears which seem to be the majority of the CZcams commentators, not surprisingly.

Geez some of these people are jerks. I think he has a wonderful voice, it's very soothing and powerful at the same time. I've been in choirs and theater for years and I still couldn't sing like that.

I've recently travelled through europe and I'll never understand dubbing. It takes away the fun of hearing your favourite artist/actors voice and if can't speak the dubbed language you're fucked. I live in Sweden where everything is subtitled, everybody wins.

beautiful - makes me melancholy for my family grandparents parents and the old days ! in retrospect they were beautiful with beautiful people - grandmas big cast iron stove in brooklyn making great things to eat - orange peels on the burners wafting aroma throughout - everyone together cousins siblings grandmas beautiful garden with roses and lilly of the valley - bringing them to the catholic school nuns - sitting on the front stoop with cousins and playing ball - no one ever bothered us- no refuse or graffiti or drugs alcohol or abuse of any kind - what happened to America ! sad really !
Fran Van Siclen I agree I grew up in Baltimore city. My Grandma always cooking, sooo good! As kids we went every ware no worries, life was so good in the city, church on Sunday, after mass big spaghetti dinner what happened ? No religion, Drugs, Welfare!

"Andrea has complete control forte to pianissimo,loud to soft on any note.In Celeste Aida he delivers the final high B flat full voice and then pulls it down to nothing, just as VERDI wanted! There is hardly ANYONE that can do that! We didn' have to repeat this 15 times for him to get it right one, he did it EVERY take! He can change the color of a note in the middle of a phrase without taking abreath.Top notes he has in abundance!

I'm fine with my taste, I just like other types of music more than opera, and I adore Bocelli sining opera, he's very sincere, never over vocalize, and of course the most beautiful voice on Earth.
And if you are talking about Bolshoi in Moscow - people who say this are Bolshoi's best artists: reconstruction killed it.

as much as i respect this guy and think his voice is beautiful, i have to remain a loyal pavarotti fan :) i just find his tone more appealing and powerful. for me bocelli is also powerful, but seems to slip sometimes and even sometimes sounds a little flat, to me. I don't know enough about singing to say that's absolutely true, that's just what i hear. and pavarotti's voice just sounds more confident and controlled, whereas bocelli's is more sweet and less mature. theyre both amazing.
