I think this is what they used to call a Pina Colada cake 50 years ago. I think toasted coconut would have been better on top.

I've been making this cake for years. The only thing I do different is mix crushed pineapple with the cool whip instead of coconut flakes.

I use a cup of unsweetened toasted coconut milk a can of that and a can of coconut condensed milk mix it and poor it over top then I make my whipped cream and toast my coconut before I put it on top of my whipped cream it’s to die for

I hate Cool Whip because it’s not a real dairy product, it’s whipped vegetable oil! What else can you use?
