You might be misunderstanding something important. Music is like meditation, the purpose is in and of itself. To bring outside purpose into it is invariably egoic and detracts from the fullness and transience of the present moment. Do you think Bach or Beathoven had a purpose in mind when conceiving their art?

The present moment; as I was listening to this I closed my eyes and still felt my mind trying to wander, but the audio brought me back to this moment. This is all we have, as I’m writing this, this is where I am, focussing just on this step when writing this comment. We have everything we need need right at this moment, such a great practice for calm and real engagement with the inner you. Good to hear this, I've read 'The Power of Now' and 'A new Earth', and whilst reading these and for a short after I felt different and my mind was happier and calmer, but then I stopped doing my medications and stopped listening to Eckhart as I thought I was 'cured'. Let me say sweet people, this is a work in progress, it would seem that there is no ultimate cure or treatment for unconsciousness and life in general. Thanks for this video which encapsulates many of Eckhart's simple but fundamental teachings and yes, it's imperative to remind oneself at regular intervals, lest the torrent of mindless chatter takes over again. I've started my meditations and just listening to Eckhart or one of the other wonderful gurus, every day, we need it to remind us that we are all worth it and all so much more than our bodies and analytical minds. You don't need Bob Proctor's affirmations for success, because true success is to overcome your ego-mind and live in pure presence. Presence is awareness, and when you can attune to the awareness that you are, then you have overcome the world because that is the divine Self, God consciousness. When you realise your Being is the Self, then success in the form of things will be added. Do I know this for sure? Yes. Affirmations are good, but is only for the ego-mind, the limited self, the false identity. Nothing wrong with this, but to attain anything truly magnificent you have to ascend beyond ego identity. 🙏
