    Omg that was harsh.

    Interesting video.
When I had my driving lesson, hazard perception was drummed into me.
I still remember my driving instructor from 40+ years ago, Reg Chapel.
The test centre when I did my test was around the Claremont Road / Maple Road area of Surbiton.
I remember when the Esso-Tesco petrol station on The Broadway Tolworth was called the Blue Star.
Berrylands was a popular place for both lessons and the driving test. Always driving school cars on the road.

How would you deal with the illegally parked car? Tell the examiner that the car is illegally parked and the gap is too narrow and ask him to guide you? Go at 1 mph?

    • @DevilsHand07
      @DevilsHand07  Před rokem +6

Yes, at the end the Examiner said that given the situation, he would have wanted to proceed at 4 mph.
It was a harsh decision. The pupil in question has since passed.

@@DevilsHand07 Makes sense. If something like that happens, can you ask for guidance? For example ask the examiner or your instructor to help guide you through such a tight gap?

@@ralphmelish2735 I’m afraid not, any guidance is considered direct help. There for if they help you it would be a fail. The Examiner can and would help if they deemed the situation unsafe or becoming unsafe. But would still fail, I have not seen such a situation come out positive. Remember, the Driving Test is an evaluation of YOUR skill to control your car safely in any given environment. Hope that helps.

Its cheaper to dive unlicensed and uninsured these days. CPS cant be arsed trying to prosecute due to underfunding.

15:59 He wasn't penalised for assuming the flashing was considerate but what would happen if you didn't trust the flashing and decided to wait, then possibly causing the other road user to flash again or become impatient?

4:09 is a one way street. Wouldn't it be a fault to be positioned to the left when turning right?

If no one can get in anyway, then what's the problem? I'm interpreting it as getting better visibility towards oncoming traffic. 🤔🤷‍♂

@@em0_tion I think the markings are bad, but there are two lanes there. Although the parked car on the right is in a bad position, at least you should make the effort to go back to the right lane when turning right.

@@ralphmelish2735 All I saw was a "triangle" on the ground, I'd position on it's left side side and start creeping forward while looking at both sides like a maniac, a.k.a. exactly what this pupil also did. Maybe I misunderstood what fault you speak of? Also, "go back to the right lane when turning right"? 4:58 he did? Unless you're driving on a non-UK road, atm I fail to see what you mean. 😁

@@em0_tion By 'go back to the right lane' I mean make an effort of being on the right. The markings are very bad but, if you check Google Maps or drive there, there are two lanes. My friend failed for something similar. It is a one way street and you should be on the right lane, or the right side of that lane, not the left. Positioning on the left can confuse other drivers
