I've noticed that the ICE-3 and ICE-3M in Train Simulator and TSW are quite good, especially when it comes to the accuracy of the sounds. If only the same could be said for the ICE-T which, if memory serves, does not sound the same as the ICE-3 in real life.
@user-rg9jh8qx2u I'm not the Velaro D person, but: no, it doesn't sound like the real thing. They messed up the frequencies under 55 km/h, and the pulse modes above that too. There's a 'switch' between 55 and 60 km/h on them irl that sounds different when braking, they didn't implement that either (probably MPT11 when accelerating and Carrier 11P when decelerating, there's a nice modulation chart from Siemens in a document). They also didn't include any proper traction motor sounds and the synchronous modulation above 55 km/h sounds too monotone. The 'Antakten' isn't included either, so it's overall very rushed and simplified.
What you hear are the frequency converters (Stromrichter, Frequenzumrichter) being in a pulse width modulation (Pulsbreitenmodulation) mode for generating an increased torque called starting torque (Anfahrmoment), to quickly and easily overcome the breakaway torque (Losbrechmoment). Once the train is rolling slowly, the frequency converters go from high torque mode to regular torque mode. The regulation is a different pulse width modulation at higher switching frequencies (Schaltfrequenz) of the semiconductor power devices (Halbleiter-Leistungsbauelemente), mostly thyristors or IGBTs. The German ICE trains use three-phase asynchronous motors (Asynchronmaschinen, Induktionsmaschinen) operating at 15 kV and 16,7 Hz.

this sound like sound of Sapsan, this train in Russia betveen moskow, and SPB.
ICE 3 and Sapsan ARE the same model, the Siemens Velaro. Only Sapsan uses russian gauge.
