What do you think about it is no more a "pure rasta ting" ? I used to be in sound system and music that is said to be "conscious" for years, 100%. Shaka changed my life and I give thanks for this for ever . But, "what i must say" is: it' is still, nearly all of time, the same "rasta lyrics" whereas the people and time have changed. So Shaka is Shaka, Bless. He has made, and still make, so much and stand firm like this tune.But for me, I can't take no more of most of the type of digital music zinc zinc brrrrr and poore lyrics. I feel more like free minded Yabby You point of view. for me there is a problem whith the lyrics mainly about Selassi and herb. What non black people have to do with that ? and even black people. why the conscious movement no talk more about very perilous subjects of our time? The people who say they are conscious and some time even they are wise people, put a responsibility on there shoulders; So what about non eat chimical food, no use of so many industrial products, na go to spupermarkets, no put money in a banks..., be conscious in every aspect of our life, there is no separation, all is one. No lyrics on cigaret and tabaco ? that is a very "babylon industry !!! but they smoke there spliff with it. and even the weed man ! I use to make grown my own herb for years in the fields. Now most of the dope is geneticaly modified and grow with no "soul" inside.Nothing with the soul of Nature. I stop smoking and i feel it's become a rebel thing not to smoke when so many peoeple smoke for nothing to do with meditation but soul destruction with what has become a poison. the system is strong, is evil, apparences. I met many rasta artists "backstage" and for me very few are like Prince Alla in humility and integrity. talking talking but drinking, eating, and clothing with Babylon. What about gold ? most of dem wear it. It's not difficult to see and find informations about the fact that is a destruction and slavery industry around the world. in so many african country. I don't understand. it'like giving money to the slave drivers!!! i pray for we human be more conscious and behave good,for real not in appareances. would like so the "conscious" people put in energy in this direction. In example, you must have used some device yourself to write this comment. Cellphones and computers are manufactured in the Far East by low-paid poor people.
