Don’t take my word for it but I’m pretty sure the reason you switched aircraft was because Ryanair are doing a lot of aircraft changes between flights during the pandemic to avoid keeping the aircraft on the ground for too long. The aircraft you flew was obviously on the ground for a long time and therefore needed to be flown again. Great video! ✈️✈️🙌🏻

It is awful to see airports like this...usually people coming and going etc...I wonder why there was no direct flight though...understand the current crisis but you can still fly from Melbourne to Sydney with quite severe restrictions including no service and only bottled water....but I would have at least thought a flight from Edinburgh to London was quite simple !! Anyway we are living in the strangest of times at the moment !! Even WH Smith is closed...good god !! With the fog you were lucky to get on an aircraft !! Thanks for another great flight...the aircraft are not broken...just not operational as far as the Captain is concerned!! I would rather go to jail than fly Ryanair to be honest !! Hi Ella. The reviews are just a hobby for me. I have a full time job in the medical sector. The earnings from ads are barely enough to support new flights actually and 90% of the flights are paid by myself, i.e. from the channel income and my own pocket. There are very few flights which are part of my job and for those I get my tickets paid but these are few. I have never been paid by anyone to fly and perform a review.

Surely renting a car and simply driving from Edinburgh to London would have been a reasonable alternative? I’ve driven it and it wasn’t too bad (about 400 miles and around 7hrs). I was at a meeting next to the airport so there was no travelling time that way. It took about 5.5 hours then for the two flights to Heathrow. I had my car waiting at Heathrow and then another 1.5 hours to get home. Altogether around 7 hours, roughly the same as driving as you suggested but between driving, flying or taking the train I’d rather fly!
