Young bloods would lose their mind if they had any reference for a lot of Ems lyrics these days. Hes so old now his references going right over everyones heads. Nobody catching that first bar where he says he feels like Bobby the brain Heenan (80s WWE wrestler) while he Wrestles with mania (Wrestlemania reference). Its so thick with doubles and triples and story with the speed it just sounds like word soup until you break it down. Then you feel like Sherlock Holmes when you catch it and tie it all together it blows your mind,

A lot of his lyrics are referencing old school rap that most people miss the meaning of. There are several good reviewers out there to follow that will explain every reference. Listening to Em will be an education into rap if you take the time to learn what he's rapping about.
25 year old here(not from the U.S) and I don't catch a lot due to lack of knowledge about specific topics that's common knowledge over there. But using google and youtube you can find out a whole lot more! The way Stevie Knight breaks down bars for example
@@123froozen Stevie's excellent at breaking down songs, plus he's a hip hop head. He knows a lot about rap history to help fill in the blanks when references are needed for something to make sense. Knox Hill is another good one for break downs

After hearing this song 100+ times, your brain adjusts to the speed and it doesn’t seem that fast anymore. You start catching nuance and anticipating lyrics. Awesome song and video!
exactly, quicker than that for some folks, and when you get that gestalt shift, and it slows down for you, the wordplay gets incredible and just washes over you. (granted I used to coach college debate so I'm used to fast talkers, we used to use eminem songs for listening drills. lol)

I hear this song all the time between my wife and 15 year old daughter. My 15 year old loves Juice Wrld. This beat is badass and his cadence is great it's hard to keep up
More important than his speed are his different flow patterns and rhythms. Em changes it up so many times.
Most people don’t catch or comment on that. It is amazing how he seamlessly stitched it all together.
exactly, that's why he's a true lyrical poet, its not just words... like all great poets he's using form, emphasis, tone, meter all to switch it up to change where the words fall. It's just incredible to listen to.

I think the better line came just after that: "I do not have the bar brain."
Probably not Shin Godzilla, though. IIRC, the Japanese lyrics in the famous "atomic breath" scene translate to something like "I am afraid, and I do not want to die".
There's so many Em songs they need to hear before this, even on this album. Songs like this are just more of a flex for fun, you don't really get a connection to the artist if you didn't have one previously.

One thing amazing about Eminem: He raps fast but enunciates so well. I went to school for theatre and I'm always impressed at his ability to enunciate. For the most part, you can follow his lyrics.

@@Lurch685 Check out his 1 hour long freestyle on Tim Westwood TV. His Fire in the booth was insanely good too. Then you’ll understand the hype. He was a god at free styling. Better than most artists written lyrics. He made about 3000 completed songs in the short amount of time he was famous too.

Great reaction as always guys, but don't be discouraged if you can't keep up with the faster stuff, it comes with time. Em doesn't process faster than most people. He just masters all styles and one of them happens to be a style that already existed. If you listen to the female rap group "J.J. Fad", from their 1988 hit song called Supersonic, produced by Dr. Dre ( The man that put Eminem on), you'll hear the rapid flow style at the end of that song and Em even uses that style on his song "Rap God". Em is a fan of the culture and the rapid rap style comes from being a fan of it and conditioning himself through practice to perfect it. And Eminem has done that very well. He always gives props to the rappers that influenced him in his songs.
