In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. Be sure to stay subscribed to stay up to date with my latest expeditions, y'all!
Seems like the most precious item, to a lot of fans, you left behind was....
"THE RED LID"
LOL!😆
Just for you Mike; The Solinst 122 Oil Water Interface Meter is easy to use and gives accurate, reliable measurements of oil level (product) and thickness in tanks and wells. The 122 Interface Meter is ideal for DNAPL & LNAPL. The Solinst Model 103 Tag Line uses a weight attached to a laser marked cable, which is mounted on a sturdy free-standing reel.
I remember my wife and I collecting multicolored carpet samples and sewing them together and making a colorful carpet for our little den. We were proud of it and had it for years until we moved 😊
You sir are a positive fellow. It's contagious my friend, try to never lose that quality. Keep diving safe
My favorite part about watching you dumpster diving is when you punch the trash can
🤘🤣🤘
Mike you are one awesome dude 😀 I been scrapping for years here in Virginia. At one point I was able to start a small lawn service just off the lawn equipment people threw away and I was able to clean and fix up. Most of the time it's a clogged carb. I just take them apart and clean them. And some of it I resell
Morning! You should do a video how you separate everything... Teach people what you do. That video would blow up. ☺️
Heather's Haul's - Hello Heather, what are you doing here?
Good to see you 😊
@@DUMPSTERDIVINGADELAIDE hi Simon! I love mike's channel 🤩
@@heathershauls - Me too, but he never gives me any likes, Oh well 😢
@@DUMPSTERDIVINGADELAIDE awwww I'll give you one. 🙂
Why do I find watching dumpster diving so relaxing?
Fiber Jumpers - LC/LC Multimode. Aqua color and Orange are usually Multimode. Yellow jacket is usually Single Mode. Anytime you have have questions on Telecomm stuff, just ask me. The Panduit items are for mounting shelves/Equipment into Equipment racks/bays. I buy this stuff as well. Looks like a lot of the dumpsters you are looking through are behind central offices.
That interface meter sells for about $800 new...
That was a good find!
You should have taken the lid to the Xmas container. Most people “women” like the lids too😀
Alway take the lid
Hi mike i am yelling take the red lid cover for Christmas bin i tried Mrs. Mike but he couldnt hear me from Maine
Lol.
@@sparrowflying864 we’re all yelling take the lid
You and me both!!!!! Always take lids no matter if the bin is there or not. Those things break way to easy
Seeing all those boxes makes my blood BOIL!
Me too. Such a waste.
Triggered over cardboard. 😂
You know we are the only species on earth who will chop down a tree to make cardboard to write a sign saying "save the trees".
18:35 should be brass on the hose in the dumpster. It’s for an air driven dental drill. 👍
you should have taken the red lid to the christmas tote
I thought the same thing
Sorry i just noticed great minds think alike i just posted same thing lol
I told him the same
GET THE TOTE LID!!! Damn... he left it... lol!
A man that I know who buy storages lockers can sell every tote he gets.
The aluminum cans your leaving... Those add up...
I was thinking the same thing.
thought same thing 10 cents for every popcan and water bottle here
Your videos remind me when I was young and would go to the mall Sunday mornings and collect aluminum cans people would drop all over the parking lot. $3-7 free money was good stuff back in the 80's. Enjoy your enthusiasm.
nah, they start stinking bad after only a day, and they draw cockroaches!
ALLWAYS GOOD STUFF IF YOU KEEP DIGGING NEVER GIVE UP ON TRASH PUCKING...I ENVY YOUR ABILITYSTO GO GET..GOD BLESS..BE SAFE..YOU'LL ALWAYS BE THE MOST HEALTHY PERSON..ONE WHOM DIGS IN TRASH ALWAYS IS...
Ooops...
That red plastic thing in the dumpster where you found the green Christmas tub was the lid to that green tub. The different colour probably threw you. 😊
The jolly scavenger! 💕💗💗💓💟😂😂💕💕stay safe Mike
Hi thanks for having me along for the ride looks like you scored some stuff good job always like your videos thru these crazy times were in thanks for everything you do your awsome as always look foward to more great videos
After you mentioned your shorts, all that was playing in mind was that Daisy Dukes song. Omg. Too funny.
Those little metal pieces (wafers) at 11:00 are red brass connectors used in old pabx telephone systems. Red brass pays really well.
The 122 Interface Meter measures water and product level and thickness, accurately to 1.0 millimeter or 1/200 ft. It measures floating and sinking hydrocarbon, non-aqueous product layers (LNAPL and DNAPL), using a 16 mm (5/8") diameter pressure-proof probe. The 122 is certified intrinsically safe, and is ATEX certified.
Readings are taken from accurate laser marked flat tape up to 300 m (1000 ft). The tape is very easy to clean.
I used to use one of those, back in my environmental studies days for measuring hydrocarbons on top of the water table in the ground ...
That measuring tape is the best!!!
I looked it up, starts at $1,000... sheesh
Can you say copy and paste?

@30:58 is a fish stick . We use it to fish cat 5E/6 cable,MC or NM down a wall
You left the lid to your tote behind never can get enough totes😎 Rockin' them short shorts😂😂😂😂Enjoy your videos 👍 keep em coming 👍👍👍
Yea like others I was surprised Mike didn't take the Red tote lid..lol also There was an empty blue tote in the next dumpster. Seems like if he kept an empty tote to take into the dumpster with him to collect the small pieces if would make things easier.. And to use later to separate brass and copper ect in.
Mike, dude the Silent Interface Meter new sells for between $750 and$1600 new, it measures product level and thickness in water/oil wells by a laser at the end(missing?) Good score if you find the right buyer. Great haul buddy, Awoooo, y'all 👊👍✌
I am in the market for one, at the right price, but trouble is whether its complete (its not), whether its still ATEX i.e. explosion proof (it needs repair as the electrodes are exposed so probably not), whether it works (it was afterall in the dumpster), and whether the speaker still works (would need to test it). So as is you would have to sell it as spares and repairs, prior to repair at Solinst, its still an amazing haul though...
Mike, you have an imagination that we wish we all had. GOD BESS YOU AND FAMILY 😇
The fiberglass rod orange is what they use to pull electric cable through conduit pipes very handy
They are like the drain rods you use to unblock drains
There's about 6/7 in a set
About £30 in uk
Your wife has good taste and lucky she has you. God bless you both...
A t around 11 min mark the yellowed pieces with the tiny phone line wires the small silvery clips that hold the wires are brass sometimes
Mike, the interface meter dells for $ 800.00 new!!
😳
This video is 2 years old but I love looking back!
Start saving those swivel chair bases / bottoms and add plywood to create bonsai working platforms. Big money.
Why didn’t u get the lid to the tote ? Good video
i thought the same thing
@@jasinere35 Me too. LOL
Gotta love the short shorts. You’re rockin them
Those little metal things in the Panduit boxes are for server racks, I think.
I guess I'm not the only one who was thinking, grab the top..!!
The spoole with the string is a blowline, to vacume or blow trough conduit to measure the length of the wire you need
Glad to see you sporting new gloves 💪
As always a blast watching you this great day. 🙂
If you still have those things that the catwire was attached to those little metal pieces are copper and they're pretty easy to take apart
I work for a water utility company and we have those interface reels for checking the depth of our Wells. 🤘
This particular unit measures oil/gasoline above the water surface.
Yes and they are expensive $700+ used, $800+ new! I hope He doesn't scrap it!
A Dumpster Life Saver Ring just in Case You drown in the Dumpster - Ha! You Unhinged that Dumpster ! You now have "PANDUIT" coming out off Your Ears - HA-HA- Great Score !!!! You had a Fantastic Dumpster Dive - we love it and please keep Safe and Greetings from us in Australia !!!!
that thing on a reel is called a interface meter and costs 2000 dollars upwards.
Via google they’re between 800-900
The orange rods, were pull rods for cabling, that orange one comes with a few poles at home depot, the full set is $60.00
Great adventures mike, the plane was crazy.. thanks mike😊😊😊
That reel of flat white stuff looks like a ribbon of LED lights.
Good job.
I remember years ago scraping cardboard and it was paying good money for it.I don’t remember why but it was in the winter with snow on the ground. I had a source and did real 👍 I would have loved to come across a load like that.
Hi Mike, the fiberglass antenna thing is for attaching cables to when feeding them through holes. Hope this helps?
KEEP ON SCRAPING & STAY SAFE.
It’s a fish stick for fishing wires thru walls, you can attach them together and add hooks on the end.
Solinst Model 122 Interface Meters are easy-to-use and give reliable, accurate measurements. A steady tone and light indicate LNAPL or DNAPL. Intermittent signals indicate water. Solinst laser marked flat-tape is available in lengths up to 300 m or 1000 ft. The Flat Tape is durable and easy to decontaminate
👍👍 Thank you Mike once again!
The old perfume. It can be very valuable even if partly used! EBay won't let you sell open or used perfume, but but can be sold under collectables. Shell.Belle on CZcams has some good perfume sales I in her chi-ching videos.
You really know how to work a dumpster!
You didn't take that RED LID for the TOAT! You was a little excited for the CHRISTMAS GEAR!!!
Mike that two foot plastic rod you had I think it was orange that is for threading wire through holes or walls
I THINK IT'S A SNOW PLOW MARKER ??
Hey Mike, How come you don’t grab Aluminium cans from the trash while diving? I know they take a lot to make good weight but it’s great for a top up at the scrap yard.
Let them build up till you have like a 1000 55 gallon trash bag full then take them in good money
Guten abend. 👍
Its for sticking down a well to see what level the aquifer is at, when the tip hits the water it beeps, they cost about five hundred dollars
I love your energy!
Interface meter looks like a measuring device I used in utility construction to measure the depth of a shaft
Mike, your enthusiasm is intoxicating. Make me WANT to dump dive for metal....lolololo. I would love to go with you hunting FOR a living..and saving out landfills....you are super cool 😎 Mike.
Yeah those phone blocks are tin coated copper most of the time sometimes brass you just take a screwdriver and pry off the back and they all fall out
That braided wrap stuff is good for a lot of different uses. Good find
Seriously in Texas does no one recycle cardboard? Here in Minnesota we have dumpsters just for cardboard. Honest question.
Its unbelievable isnt it? The amout of cardboard shameful. It should be law to recycle at least the cardboard.
I’ve commented the same thing before....puzzling
It's probably because these dumpsters belong to companies(who don't have the time or manpower to waste on sorting trash and recycling) not individuals, as well as the fact that Texas doesn't have as advanced a recycling program as Minnesota.
Don't you mean Minnesoda?
Do you drink pop?
Do you crave Hotdish?
Every state is different. I was raised in New Mexico and no one recycles anything. Live in Washington now, my recycle bin is three times the size as my garbage bin.
The beating stick, is a rod for pulling cables you screw them together poke through walls ceilinging tape cable to it
Solar nest interface meter model 122 that's a g-note, bro! Rock on!
The stripe on the red roll is a led light. cool thing.
I love the Welcome Aboard clock Mike. Stay safe. See ya on the next
Those cables... you'll find those in video conferencing. RJ-45 to HDMI. Carries both video and audio signal to projectors and multimedia equipment.
Solinst Oil/Water Interface Meters give clear and accurate measurements of product level and thickness in wells and tanks.
New its worth $3,629 here in australia
Mike, they are coming for you!
That meter is $500 on eBay. It looks like it is missing a part though and it detects water in some degree I don't know.
😂 "the creme de la creme of the...le creme de..."
I wear clinique happy! i love it!
Scrapity scrap scrap brotha!
You are a certified diver. Gotta be young and strong. I am now old and delapaded so all diving is out. You are fast, but
some stuff gets damaged more getting it out as compared to when it went in. As they say in the Army, some ends up
"FUBAR"!
Those wires that you have in the bags are for ether connections.
That orange stick. With threads is a fish stick. For fishing cable in a ceiling.
Love the way things go in the truck 👌👌👌👌
Great haul. Congrats.
That wire reel is for putting down a well to see how deep or to check the level of the aquifer is, thaks for sharing Mike
The little black box with the magnet is a siren for a burg system. I have the same one at home.
what you showed, is an ethernet cable. those are used for c connecting a computer to a router, or router to a modem so you have wireless internet, WIFI that is.
Keep an eye out for those punch down blocks (11:01). While those pins look aluminum, old old ones can be gold plated.
The metal hooks are called J. Hooks. For hanging cable above ceilings. They are not cheap.
Solinst Model 122 Interface Meter is used in the forestry industry. They are very expensive.
Hey Brother Mike, you should video how you separate the different types of metals so that people can get into dumpster diving and pick up a few dollars. A few dollars could help feed their families and get them clothes, shoes and anything else that they are needing.
You're awesome and funny
Early morning scrap 👍
7:23…I think Texas is the USA’s #1 consumer of cardboard. Go BIG TEXAS!!!!
the odd cables right after the new dumpster, where Serialized USB cables proprietary to IBM (NCR). So Serialized USB to Micro USB cable.
It may came from the bin: but if you can use the Scrubs around your home and shed ?
10:50 I’ve discovered those phone things with all the little wire clips are brass. Take the back off somehow and they all come out. They are coated with tin or something, scratch them they are yellow brass!
Pandit is expensive networking stuff and the muti mode fiber patch cables are expensive also.
Always late to the party by a few years..lol Hubby says the metal things in the boxes are for hanging metal blinds with.
Gotta be strong !!
You can wrap all your wires into a coil and throw on a burn pile and burn the plastic housing away and the copper will survive the fire and when you take it in removed from plastic you will get a higher rate for your copper.
Hey mike good finds again you sure meet a lot of hose in those dumpsters
Mike:dadddy will take all the wire
Me:dadddy chill
