Just for you Mike; The Solinst 122 Oil Water Interface Meter is easy to use and gives accurate, reliable measurements of oil level (product) and thickness in tanks and wells. The 122 Interface Meter is ideal for DNAPL & LNAPL. The Solinst Model 103 Tag Line uses a weight attached to a laser marked cable, which is mounted on a sturdy free-standing reel.

I just take them apart and clean them. And some of it I resell

The 122 Interface Meter measures water and product level and thickness, accurately to 1.0 millimeter or 1/200 ft. It measures floating and sinking hydrocarbon, non-aqueous product layers (LNAPL and DNAPL), using a 16 mm (5/8") diameter pressure-proof probe. The 122 is certified intrinsically safe, and is ATEX certified.
Readings are taken from accurate laser marked flat tape up to 300 m (1000 ft). The tape is very easy to clean.

I am in the market for one, at the right price, but trouble is whether its complete (its not), whether its still ATEX i.e. explosion proof (it needs repair as the electrodes are exposed so probably not), whether it works (it was afterall in the dumpster), and whether the speaker still works (would need to test it). So as is you would have to sell it as spares and repairs, prior to repair at Solinst, its still an amazing haul though...

10:50 I’ve discovered those phone things with all the little wire clips are brass. Take the back off somehow and they all come out. They are coated with tin or something, scratch them they are yellow brass!

You can wrap all your wires into a coil and throw on a burn pile and burn the plastic housing away and the copper will survive the fire and when you take it in removed from plastic you will get a higher rate for your copper.
