- Gayle from BERNINA of NAperville shows you the multiple uses for the BERNINA Edgestitch Feet. They are broken down into three feet for 5.5mm machines, 9mm machines and machines that have the built in dual feed which is like having a walking foot that is always on your machine.
Whether you sew garments or Apparel, make quilts or handbags, you will love this foot. Those of you who have the 9mm machines with dual feed capability will want both the #10C and #10D - it's a good thing they are 25% off right now! - Jak na to + styl
Number 10 is the most useful foot for so many uses. It allows great accuracy.
Thanks!! I was just doing some binding on some placemats… I needed this. Thank you! 🧵✂️🪡
Great. Thanks so much. I just purchased the Bernina 480 today and learning.
This was so very helpful. U gave grt trouble wth bindings and have tried th 71 foot wth varied success. This seems to be a nice alternative. Thank you
I am going to the machine right now to try it out. Thanks!!!
Great demo!
Great tutorial. Thank you. Have had my 10D foot for a very long time and finally know how to use it for binding.
Thank you! This tutorial was VERY helpful. I needed your demonstration with this foot to bind a quilt. I will use my new foot soon to do this!
Thanks learned something new. Machine needs oil ?
Actually the Mike picks the sound of the machine up in a weird way in my sewing room :)
I have a 770QE and was given a # 10 foot a regular Edgestitch foot, is it OK to use it on my machine?
Yes, you just will not be able to get the full range of needle positions as you will only have 5.5mm stitch capability.
I have Bernina Activa 130 sewing machine but I lost its foot kindly tell me from where I buy it's foot
You can purchase from us www.berninaofnaperville.com or call 431-472-4231
What is the stitch # for joining the batting?
That’s the rampart stitch #12 on 4-8 series machines.
What kind of scissors are you using?
These! www.berninaofnaperville.com/products/tula-pink-straight-scissor-6?_pos=22&_sid=69cf60fb1&_ss=r
Thanks! I expect with Tula Pink, they’re probably good. I have some other notions of her and I love them!
The problem with the #10 foot on the smaller 5.5mm machines is that the needle can't move far enough away from the guide/edge. So it's super super close to the edge, even when the needle is moved way over all the way, which doesn't look as nice when topstitching binding. 😢
Perhaps your machine needs an adjustment because this is not the case at all.
@@BERNINAofNapervilleCan you please explain what an adjust menu is? Thanks! And that's great news if this could be fixed!
I don't know what you mean by adjust menu?@@Ayram9
@@BERNINAofNapervilleSurely you must (feeling slightly gaslit here) as you wrote it before editing it.😆 But I see now that you changed it to "adjustment" and feel like an idiot for googling "Bernina adjust menu."😂 I thought maybe I could go into the menu and adjust the numbers somehow. Too funny. Anyway, the needle can't go over any further and the guide is straight so it's hard to imagine what adjustments might make a difference. But I'll ask about it. I'd show you a picture of two samples but no way to do that here. Thanks!
@@Ayram9 you need to visit a dealer. This is not normal. And there are multiple folks who monitor our social so someone corrected and I was not aware.
Encore en langue de bois
Excusez-moi, mais je ne comprends pas votre commentaire?
