    VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
    Resetting Adaptations is not necessary anymore or recommended. The creators of TuneEcu have directly stated not to do the "reset adaptations" anymore, and to simply use the 12 minute tune method.
    Also, if the audio bothers you, i created a duplicate of this video without the music. Look through my videos and you'll find it

    I put new Bassani mufflers on my 2011 Bonneville SE and I am having decell pop. Our head mechanic at the Harley shop where I work said I need more air. Is it possible to manipulate individual parameters like that or would the "12 minute tune" make it adapt automatically?

    • @NicePantsLance
      @NicePantsLance  Před 2 lety

      Unfortunately getting rid of decel pop would require specific fine-tuning to your bike. You could do it at home, but it would require fuel adding or subtracting at specific rpms and alot of street testing. The "12 minute tune" might help, but it'll only be temporary. If you've altered a fuel-map before, it wouldn't be too hard, but it'll be a process. If I were you, I'd look into a PC5 autotuner, to keep the bike at a perfect AFR and stop the exhaust popping. I wish I could help more!

    • @NicePantsLance
      @NicePantsLance  Před 2 lety

      Are you connected to the bike? The drop down will not give you the option to reprogram ECU unless you are currently connected to the bike and have a map opened. What do you mean "nothing happens". Does it tell you that theres no file found? I had to move my tune file to a very specific folder so the program could find it. Specifically: "internal storage--->TuneEcu"
      I believe the latest version of TuneEcu asks you which folder you prefer to use for tunes. It HAS to be that specific folder or the program wont recognize it. Also the tune file cant be a copy, it has to be the original file. If it has a "(1)" in the file name, its a copy and not the real thing.

      Clutch switch
      Twist grip switch (push the throttle in the closed position all the way forward)

    • @NicePantsLance
      @NicePantsLance  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes! That is because your bike must be on during the remapping process, and it takes alot of juice to do so! If you leave your fuse in, the light will stay on during remap, and will drain the battery. If your bike dies during the remapping process, your ecu will need to be recovered and there is a slight chance you could mess up the ecu in the process. To be safe, remove headlight fuse and keep bike hooked up to a charger the entire time 👍 there's a few articles you can find online that will further assist you.

    • @NicePantsLance
      @NicePantsLance  Před 6 měsíci

      Not sure if it does. Most modern Triumph's measure speed from the abs sensor ring on the front wheel. Ive never needed to make an adjustment, because a sprocket change wouldn't have any effect on speedometer readout

    • @MrEye4get
      @MrEye4get Před 5 měsíci

      Understood! Adjusting the speedometer isn't a big issue. Changing the sprocket sizes (on newer EURO 5 models) display "Code P0915 - gear shift circuit range/performance". Additional information indicates "vehicle speed doesn't match gear." This is due to gear position, rpm and wheel speed being constantly monitored by the ECU. It seems the new Euro 5 ECU maps engine RPM against road speed for a given gear.@@NicePantsLance

    • @NicePantsLance
      @NicePantsLance  Před 3 lety

      What engine rpm does it stutter at? Also, how many miles on the bike? Might wanna check for a kinked fuel line or a blocked breather tube. If that looks alright, it may just need the 12 Minute Tune (resetting adaptations). If it still stutters, you may need spark plugs or coilpacks. If all else fails, I'd say you definitely need a Remap. One of these should fix the issue 👍 good luck

    • @NicePantsLance
      @NicePantsLance  Před 10 měsíci

      The motorcycle must have the key on during the ECU reflashing process, which would keep the headlight on and drain the battery. ECU reflashing takes alot of battery power, so its advised to remove the headlight fuse and plug in a battery tender to keep enough power in the battery.
      If the battery dies during the reflashing process, it can damage the ECU and a ECU recovery will need to be performed. Not all ECU recoveries are successful
