Let me just say as someone who played this game:
It's legit as bad as he says it is. The physics are awful compared to 2 and collision is inconsistent. He makes the game look easier than it is, it is not easy and often not fair. Most of the instances of where he blames collision are believably due to this game having terrible collision, if you've played the game before.

Pokehero I like the game imo, but I agrer with you on the later levels, they were just cheap. Plus Moonhaven's missions are insanely difficult.

@@feIon because I loved the adventure mode. Since I posted this forever ago I have seen the speedrun and besides a few interesting skips it really isn't that interesting of a run to watch unfortunately. I still loved it casually though.

The HD Banana Blitz is pretty good. The one thing that ruined BB is the motion controls. The level design is good.

The Super Videogame Nerd MORE the main thing that ruined the monkey ball games after 2 was that pretty much every single one revolves around some quirky new gimmick. Motion controls, touch controls, open world adventure, wii balance board? All pretty bad ideas. It’s like they just decided to use it as a system showcase series instead of its own thing.

i thought this game looked so cool as a kid and couldn't wait to rent it. I was surprised by the absurdly long loading screens and a small number of stages. Tried coming back to it 14 years later on the psp version. Needless to say, it did not age well. Makes me sad and think about what could have been.
I am however super happy about the indie monkey ball clones.
