Because Hinduism at the same time emphasizes a lot on family values, marriage and procreation without snatching off the rights of third gender. Rather, Hinduism accepts them as one of the many communities of society with equal opportunities of job, education and life. But, that does not mean that each community has to be diluted to form a homogeneous society, that itself is opposing to diversity. Rather, Hinduism believes in unity in diversities with mutual respect. It neither promote Gay culture like the western countries, neither persecutes them like Islamic countries. Hindu-Buddhist dharmic principles always follow middle path with live and let live others with mutual respect.
