I was there a few weeks ago and I love that he has scripture on His wall. I love to write scripture and display throughout my house, however I don’t have it written on the walls 😂but no judgment here. The ones that are meaningful- we must hide His word in our hearts. We must keep His word before us and let’s not forget that He never leaves nor forsakes us. Beautiful singing Titus🙏🏻

    5 quick questions:
    1. If every man from Adam to Moses kept the Sabbath, why is the Hebrew word for the weekly Sabbath found in the ten commandments, never found in the book of Genesis? Why is no one before Moses ever being told to keep the Sabbath. Why are there no examples of anyone keeping the Sabbath?
    2. Why were the Patriarchs never instructed about he Sabbath, but were instructed regarding: offerings: Gen 4:3-4, Altars Gen 8:20, Priests: Gen 14:18, Tithes: Gen 14:20, Circumcision: Gen 17:10, Marriage: Gen 2:24 & Gen 34:9. Why would God leave out the "all important" Sabbath command?
3.If the fact that God wrote the 10 commandments on stone proves they are forever, then whatever happened to the two stone tablets that God gave Adam at the beginning of time? Why is Moses the first one to see a stone tablet written by the finger of God?
4.Why is the weekly Sabbath commandment never quoted in the New Testament?
5.Why is the Sabbath the only one of the ten commandments that are said to be "throughout your generations", the usual phrase that indicates it was a temporary ceremonial law only for the Jews?
    E. G. White prophesied the world would end in 1843, 1844, 1845 & 1851: "Now time is almost finished, (1851) and what we have been 6 years in learning they will have to learn in months." EARLY WRITINGS p. 57
Lets see what the Bible has to say about failed prophecies:
When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
    Deuteronomy 18:22
Why did E.G. White's prophecies fail? The answer is found in SELECTED MESSAGES, Book 1, p. 299
"Thus the work was hindered, and the world was left in darkness. Had the whole Adventist body united upon the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, how widely different would have been our history."
Reality check Titus and Aaron Ellen G. White blamed it on the Seventh-day Adventist church members! How sad!!!!!

    • @Snoddypossie
      @Snoddypossie Před 2 měsíci +3

You will need to find out those answers for yourself. We are instructed, “let every man be persuaded in his own mind.” “Prove all things.” You have that wonderful God given gift of freedom and independence to decide for yourself. So has Titus. As for me I have absolute respect for what God hallowed and sanctified. The Commandment given at Sinai asks them/us to Remember. Prior to Sinai they are already gathering twice as much Manna on the 6th day to enable Sabbath keeping. But hey! I respect your right to reject.

@@BeckyBlake-sd1pg You: Why did E.G.White prophecy the dates of Christ's return when scripture clearly says that no one knows the day nor the hour?
Thats a very good question. And you are exactly right! The Bible clearly says that no one knows the day nor the hour? Not even Jesus himself or the angels in heaven. I suppose it was because she claimed to be a prophet of God that received direct revelation from God as if the Bible isn't sufficient enough for us. But her many many failed prophecies have proven to the world she is no more than a false prophet that established a false religion know today as the 7th Day Adventist cult. Have you ever read Selected Messages Book One by Ellen Gould White? It's all of her thoughts written in the book not mine. Ellen G. White was a prolific writer of about 10,000 pages of "inspired writings". In the early 1980's the denomination was almost torn apart when it was proven that about most of what White wrote was copied from other works that predated her own. See the 1980 Herald and Review article. The devastation continues today, as informed SDA's learn the truth about their inspired prophet! In a nutshell Ellen G. White was a plagiarist 💯%!
You: Maybe the actual commandment to keep the sabbath is not mentioned in the New Testament, because God, knowing the nature of humans to want to earn heaven by good works, knew that sabbath keeping could become legalistic and a thing of pride
Again you are exactly right! The sabbath is nowhere found or implied in the NT. With the exception of the Sabbath Day provision, they each have a New Testament counterpart. Submitting to Christ's teaching in the New Testament means submitting to nine of the Ten Commandments because they are in the New Testament. Do you honestly think that the Almighty All knowing God is going to going to leave out what the SDA claim to be the most important of all the 10 out of the NT? The fact is However, Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy is nowhere found in the NT. What is found can be read in the book of Ephesians. The writer penned..."So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or SABBATHS, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ" (Colossians 2:16-17). Besides the Bible tells us the Sabbath was for the Israelites. During the Exodus from Egypt, God instituted this day. It is first mentioned in Exodus 16:23-26: "Then he said to them, this is what the LORD has said: 'Tomorrow is a Sabbath rest, a holy Sabbath to the LORD. Bake what you will bake today, and boil what you will boil; and lay up for yourselves all that remains, to be kept until morning.' So they laid it up till morning, as Moses commanded; and it did not stink, nor were there any worms in it. Then Moses said, Eat that today, for today is a Sabbath to the LORD; today you will not find it in the field. Six days you shall gather it, but on the seventh day, which is the Sabbath, there will be none."
God commanded Israel to keep this day as a way to remember that while in Egypt they had no rest, but that God delivered them and gave them a day of rest (Deuteronomy 5:15). The word Sabbath means "rest." This special day was a sign between Israel and God so they would not forget that he had delivered them and set them apart as his people. Exodus 31:13-17 says: "Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: 'Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you ( WHO? GOD and ISRAEL) throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you. You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath Day, he shall surely be put to death. Therefore, the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath,( WHO? THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL) to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever;(WHO? AGAIN THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL) for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.'"
Since, under the Old Testament law, the Jews were God's covenant people, the Sabbath had no real significance to Gentiles. But the Sabbath was the Jews' God-ordained day for worship and rest from normal secular endeavors. They were to observe it strictly.
They were not to do ordinary work (Exodus 31:13-17; 20:8-11; 23:9-12; 34:21).
They were not to gather, bake, or boil any food (Exodus 16:23-26).
They were to kindle no fires or gather any sticks for fires (Exodus 35:1-3; Numbers 16:32-35).
They were not to buy or sell (Nehemiah 13:15-21).
They could not carry any burden (Jeremiah 17:21-22).
They could travel only a "Sabbath Day's journey" (Matthew 24:20).
There was to be a holy convocation (special assembly) where Levitical priests sacrificed two lambs (Leviticus 23:3; Numbers 28:9-10).
Today's Sabbath keepers, whether they worship on Saturday or Sunday, really don't keep the Sabbath in the way God commanded the Jews to keep it.
Many years ago, this nation had "blue laws" that required nonessential businesses to close on Sunday. Gas stations, restaurants, grocers, and hardware and merchandise stores were closed. These laws were based on the idea that Sunday is the "Christian Sabbath." But neither home cooking nor traveling was forbidden. And no animal sacrifices were offered.
Scripture says absolutely nothing to suggest that God changed the Sabbath Day from the last day of the week to the first. The only real similarity is that both are days dedicated or set apart for worship.
These professed Christian Sabbath keepers also failed to recognize that if you adopt one part of the Law of Moses, you are bound to keep all of that law (Galatians 5:3). And those who try to be justified by keeping the Old Law are fallen from grace (Galatians 5:4). Sabbath law has ended.
Jesus "fulfilled" the Old Testament law. According to Matthew 5:17, "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill." The Law was taken out of the way at the cross: "Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross." (Colossians 2:14) Jesus established a new law or covenant, what we generally refer to as the New Testament, the "perfect law of liberty" (James 1:25).
In the New Testament, the Apostle Paul specifically warned against trying to bind the Sabbath on Christians. He wrote: "So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or Sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ." (Colossians 2:16-17)
Christians do have a Sabbath to come. Israel's deliverance from Egyptian bondage does present a physical pattern for how God, through the sacrifice of Jesus, delivered all men from the bondage of sin. And in consideration of this figurative or comparative parallel, the Bible declares: "There remains therefore a rest (Sabbath) for the people of God." (Hebrews 4:9) But this Sabbath or rest isn't one day in a week. It alludes to heaven, the ultimate rest for God's people. That will be the time and place for Christians to rest. "Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, 'Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.' 'Yes,' says the Spirit, 'that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.'" (Revelation 14:13)
Many of those who continue to observe the Sabbath do not keep all of the Law concerning this special day. What about the death penalty for those who broke the Sabbath Law? Do those who observe this Day today also keep that part of the Law? Of course not! Some say that part of the Sabbath Law was "set aside." The problem is that there is no Scripture passage that makes this distinction. (This is exactly the same number of Scripture passages that substantiate keeping the Sabbath Law under the Law of Christ.)
Could one keep this day as a matter of conscience without violating the Law of Christ? For example, let us say that a Jew is converted to Christ. Yet, because of a strong conscience concerning the Sabbath, he refrains from manual labor on the Sabbath and uses it as a day to prepare for the Lord's Day. This would be a manner of personal judgment that should not be bound on others. It would be acceptable to God.
Many say Christians offer "pagan worship" because they worship on the Lord's Day and break the Sabbath. The real problem-someone has failed in "rightly dividing God's Word."

@@BeckyBlake-sd1pg You: because God, knowing the nature of humans to want to earn heaven by good works
It's interesting you use the word WORKS in reference on getting too HEAVEN. Let's see what the Bible has to say about WORKS. A lot of your denominational folk love to misuse Ephesians 2:8-9 to settle this matter. Most will stop reading at verse 9, but consider what verse 10 says: “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” To the sectarian mind, this poses a contradiction. Verse 9 says that salvation is “not of works,” while verse 10 says that we were “created . . . for good works.” Obviously, there are two different kinds of works under discussion. Verse 9 is referring to meritorious works while verse 10 has in mind the works of God. All “works” are not the same.
Second, most believe that salvation is by faith only. But the only place where the phrase “faith only” is found in James 2:24: “You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.” Does James contradict Paul? No, each is dealing with an opposite extreme. The fact is that both teach the same thing from different views.
Third, the view that we’re saved by faith and not by works is contradicted by Jesus in John 6:28-29: “Then they said to Him, ‘What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?’ Jesus answered and said to them, ‘This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.’” Logically, if we are not saved by works, then we cannot be saved by faith, for Jesus says that faith (belief) is a work.
Many people reject the idea that these two words (faith and works) should be found in the same context. The reason is that while we need faith to receive God’s blessings and approval, we also realize that God’s grace is what saves us instead of works. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 2 that we are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8), and not of works that anyone should boast (Ephesians 2:9). Anyone who studies the Bible as they should will tell you that you need both in order to be saved. James 2:14-26 teaches very valuable lessons to us.
Many people claim to have faith, but do not serve God. Some say they are not churchgoers, but they still have their faith. James 2:14 says “What use is it my brethren, if a man says he has faith, but he has no works? Can that faith save him?” This is a rhetorical question, because obviously the message is clear that unless he has works, his faith is dead."
James 2:17 says that “Even so faith if it has no works, is dead being by itself” Faith must be accompanied by works in order to be an active living faith. A lot of people do not demonstrate any indicators that they have faith in God, even though they claim to have a “personal relationship” with Him. That is nothing more than a cop-out. Unless one is actively and diligently seeking to please God, they have no faith. Read Hebrews 11:6.
James 2:20 says that faith without works is useless. I John also teaches that if we are claiming to be in fellowship with God, but do not practice the truth, we are liars.
James 2:22 reads: “you see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected.” Faith is made complete which is what the meaning of "perfect" is in the Scriptures. In Hebrews 11 we have many examples of people of faith. One thing in common with all of them is they were accounted faithful by what they did, not by what they believed.
James 2:24 reads: "You see that a man is justified by works, and not by faith alone."
James 2:26 reads in part: “… so also faith without works is dead.”
Claiming to be faithful to God is just a waste of words unless you have the works to back up that claim. In our contemporary language, we can say “put up or shut up”. James 2:18 reads in part: “… show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” Many people claim to have faith in God, but their actions do not reflect a faith at all. Titus 1:16 hopefully will strike a chord here: “They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him.”
There are many people who claim to be “Christian,” yet they do not live like a Christian should live. The only people God will welcome into heaven are those who demonstrate their faith with works. You know; those who walk the walk. I John 1:7 reads, “but if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another."
Our faith is demonstrated by works. These works are given to us to do from God. Ephesians 2:10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."

Those are wonderful poems and Scriptures! I am convinced that Titus is a very sincere and humble Christian.
However, regarding his house, i would say it could be a lot tidier and cleaner. Maybe he needs a wife to take care of the house ... 😏🙏🏻
May God continue to bless all of you! 🙏🏻💝

What advice would Titus have for someone who's not from America, but has never been taught any religion at all?
