Visage was the game that took the idea of PT and made it successful. I honestly don't think PT would've actually been as good as people think. Kojima doesn't grasp horror games as well as they do puzzle games. Consider that trying to get the true ending for the PT demo literally required data mining the game since half of its content was locked behind ultra cryptic puzzles that borderline arbitrary code execution, reminiscent of getting bubble blowing instructions from SpongeBob SquarePants. Visage took the theme of PT, improved upon it and put it in a framework that would actually be successful.
