- In this video, I chat about my first time shooting with Lomography's Color '92 film. I purchased 5 rolls and shot them with my Pentax Auto 110. This isn't a full-out review, but more of my first impressions of the film after shooting a few rolls. There are several example shots from a variety of lighting conditions. Let me know what you guys think!

Those multiple exposures are killer! Really dig the collages too - Great stuff Chris!
Thanks Dave!
sea shell shop!! a must stop every time we go down to OCMD.
LOVE the collages you did at the end of the video! so very cool and creative!!
Thanks Sierra! Yeah, we also stop pretty much each time we head down to Rehoboth. The mini golf course is always super fun!
I really wasn't impressed with my results on 35mm and 120 but 110 genuinely surprised me. it fits the format really well xD
That's interesting! Film stocks usually get better the larger the format you go. What did you think it was lacking in 35mm/120?
@@filmismorefun the grain is really prominent in low light situations which I guess for 110 it doesn't really matter too much. I felt like the color shifts and the overall flatness was less noticeable on 110? 110 really lacks 400 speed film and the closet thing to lomochrome 92 is Fukkatsu 400 which feels really similar
@@areallyrealisticguyd4333Ok gotcha. I still haven't shot it in anything but the 110 yet. Funny you mention the Fukkatsu, I was initially going to bring that along with me on this trip but opted for color 92 for the freshness.
Some great looking shots.
I got two rolls one in 110 and 35mm.
Thanks!
I hope you get some great shots with your rolls. 🙂
For 110 400 film, the scans look beautiful, Chris! I tend to stay away from 400 iso 110 film because of the added grain that’s already present in 100 iso 110 film. Great video even with the trash haul 😂. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Anthony! Yeah this is a super grainy film for sure. I haven't shot the larger formats yet, but I've read that the grain is also still fairly present in 35mm and 120. It's a nice asthetic though.
hermosas fotos un abrazo
Thanks 🙂
Love that shot at 1:10! and wow these came out great for 110 and beautiful touch of grain
I see quite a bit of your videos are on 110film, what draws you to shoot that more?
Hey thanks! A big part of the quality of these shots is due to the Pentax Auto110's metering being on point.
I find it a fun format to shoot because of the overall look I guess, and also 110 cameras are usually very pocketable.
You know, Lomo's 110 cartridges don't really come "DX coded" (meaning the tab size they have is generic 100ISO I think). So a 400 roll on your Pentax would not be detected as such and the exposure is messed up. I know because I cut the tabs on mine to avoid just that. That can explain the picture temperature.
You're right, they would have been read as 100 if shot straight from the package, but I modified the tabs on the cartridges so it would read at 400 speed. 🙂
Yeppers. Those of us with 110 cameras that can read 400, need the tabs on this film cut. Not a big deal, but wish that Lomography would use the correct cartidges for different speeds.
I initially felt the same, but after some thought, think it might be better they don't. With the tabs uncut it gives the option to overexpose the film which you wouldn't have if the tabs were precut. I do think they should make the instructions directly obvious on the packing though for people who aren't aware of how to change the speed.
@@filmismorefun I agree. Forgot it was giving me a second option.
Did you get the dreaded Lomography orange spots, or did you need to tape the back window?
Nope, all 5 rolls were free off spots light leaks without the back taped. Although, I'm usually conscious of making sure it isn't facing direct sun. Maybe I got lucky though!
This reminds me...I have some 110 film to shoot...brb
Cool I'll wait right here. 🙂
Not enough grain. I think it needs to be pushed a stop or 2
You're probably right 🙂
