New Jack grabs a seat at the bar right next to me and my friends, reaches behind the bar grabs a bottle of whiskey and chugs a good quarter of it before taking out blunt with weed and smoking it. Mind you there was a lot of security there including off duty cops all around. Nobody dared say or do anything. Everyone knew New Jack's reputation for being, well.. a psychopath and people were afraid to look at him the wrong way let alone say anything. The guy was always fucking nuts.

You could probably blame Paul Heyman a good deal for this. One, for not vetting the kid more thoroughly before letting him wrestle, and two, the reason Axl Rotten didn't make it to the show was because Heyman didn't get him his plane ticket. Had Paul E. gotten his ticket, Axl would've been at the show and this whole incident wouldn't have happened.

That incident almost killed ECW as a matter of fact they were scheduled to have their first pay-per-view event in March of 1997 but it got canceled but luckily the fans set of thousands of letters to the pay-per-view companies on getting that paper a few back which they did. As for mass transit he lost a lawsuit but he also passed away in 2002 at the age of 23.

watch the Gangstas back in SMW. New Jack could wrestle, the brawling came later, and in the end became 100% of the act. Sure, he went way over the top many, many times, but the guy could wrestle if he wanted to back in those days. Dunno about now, post-Danbury Fall.
I've heard of some things New Jack has done that was decent, like taking it to Brian Knobbs when he said something about Macho Man after he died, but this was just ignorant. Even Meanie, who was justifying it, is also ridiculous. This kid was excited, doing something he'd dreamed about for a while, and was just full of adrenaline. This could have been avoided by the "veterans" if they had simply told him bluntly what the deal was when he started talking. I'm sure he would've shut up.

Mass Transit had it coming as Mass Transit bullied the wrestlers backstage to get what he wanted even though the wrestlers were doing their jobs to entertain their fans. Mass Transit lied about his age claiming to be 23, but in fact 17, forged his wrestling experience and had his dad and two midget wrestlers to believe his side of the story. He should of been done for forgery and conning ECW. Because of Mass Transit, ECW's first ever PPV was cancelled.

The ring is supposed to be a safe environment, no wrestler expects to get hurt like that, and they shouldn't have to. In any other work place this would not happen, if someone disrespects you in the office you don't beat the shit out of them at the water cooler. Wrestling is entertainment, if anyone was entertained by the mass transit incident they must take a good look at themselves, New Jack forgot about the fans so he could hurt someone for not much of a reason. All sides were at the fault. Transit for lying about his age and training. ECW and Heyman for not identifying Transit and figuring out who we actually was. And Jack for getting way to carried away and almost killing someone. “I don’t regret it.” I know for me at least that if I did something like that, and found out later that he was a minor that I almost killed, I’d feel terrible.

I've never met New Jack but the guy I was trained by (Alex Shane) told me that New Jack is a guy who never know's when to step out of character, so don't take what he says in interviews too seriously. I admit New Jack should have never bladed him, you only ever blade yourself in a match, the second he asked to be bladed he should have been taken off the card. He should have never been on the card, Heyman let stress cloud his judgement, no one knew this kid, all he said was 'Kowalski trained me'.

I've heard of some things New Jack has done that was decent, like taking it to Brian Knobbs when he said something about Macho Man after he died, but this was just ignorant.

This kid was excited, doing something he'd dreamed about for a while, and was just full of adrenaline. This could have been avoided by the "veterans" if they had simply told him bluntly what the deal was when he started talking.

Mass Transit had it coming as Mass Transit bullied the wrestlers backstage to get what he wanted even though the wrestlers were doing their jobs to entertain their fans. Mass Transit lied about his age claiming to be 23, but in fact 17, forged his wrestling experience and had his dad and two midget wrestlers to believe his side of the story. He should of been done for forgery and conning ECW. Because of Mass Transit, ECW's first ever PPV was cancelled.

I've never met New Jack but the guy I was trained by (Alex Shane) told me that New Jack is a guy who never know's when to step out of character, so don't take what he says in interviews too seriously. I admit New Jack should have never bladed him, you only ever blade yourself in a match, the second he asked to be bladed he should have been taken off the card. He should have never been on the card, Heyman let stress cloud his judgement, no one knew this kid, all he said was 'Kowalski trained me'.
