how many times did I say "Very" when talking about the wine fridge lol
As the Peirceâs do. â€ïžhaha jokes
More than some people say, um! đ
Not Sure About That đ, But Your Interactive Cards Are Perfect Ones At Perfect Times.
x4 :D love it!
Very many
So excited to design and build this home with you. Also donât piss off the camera man đ
I bet man. Corsets on the place, itâs gorgeous.
1000% put a coffee station in your bedroom. Maybe not a full on Breville but a little something sounds great. Maybe consult Becki for thatđ
Just be careful with the marble countertops, if not fully sealed anything acidic will etch it forever! So be careful!
this looks like a great house for all your extremely fancy rug/carpet needs
Omg itâs so pretty! Canât wait to come visit when covid is over!!
Also coffee station in the bedroom for SURE!!! Imagine a fresh one while chilling in that tub YES PLEASE
â@@BeckiandChris yeah it's so cool, they even have your pantry in their master!
yup this is either in a "less optimal" location or doesnt cost $1M. anyone who knows the toronto market knows you cant get even a townhouse like this unless you're in the outskirts
What are you talking about? I lived in Toronto just a few years ago, a townhouse is like 600,000-700,000 about ten minutes from the city core. She is showing a townhouse, not a detached house. A detached house like this would be $2-3million
Is Toronto expensive?? Thinking about moving there from the USA
@@Sheisforeign Don't. Unless you are willing to pay $600,000 for a condo, and well over a million for a detached house.
@@shinyam75 even if she is showing a townhome this has to be more than a million. You might be talking about few years ago but I have just sold and bought a house a month ago. The main commentor is correct
I also think this is a townhouse. Townhouses in York Region are above 1 million. Who is she kidding?
You and Chris worked SO HARD for this. Congratulations, you two!
Thank you Matt!
IT'S HUUUUUGEEE!!! WHAT THE HECK!!! CONGRATS FRIENDS!!!!
Thanks Sorelle! Lots of room for you and Leon when you visit again đ
You should put an aquarium in the area where you didn't know what to do with it.. an aquarium in your bedroom would look beautiful đ
For all of you wondering, the wolf stove there can run you about $5000 usd, the sub zero fridge about $8000, the Miele coffee machine about $3600. (All in usd)
I lived in TO for 20 years - for that house a million is a really good price. Damn, that city got mad $$$
It is!! Because we bought during Covid we got a good deal
@@LizziePeirce when did you guys buy it? I just sold and bought a house (during covid). Didn't get anywhere near that price. My semi sold for 1M50K in one of the neighbouring cities in Toronto on the west end so I am very curious
The first thing I thought of when I saw that counter space upstairs is: SNACKSSSSS!!!
OHH YEAHHH. I support this.
Coffee station 100%. Two flights of stairs down to coffee when hungover is too many. Also, two flights back to get back in bed with said coffee if far too many!
This house is A DREAM!!!! The closet space, the fireplace in the bedroom AND living room! oh yes totally make it a coffee corner. Imagine brewing some fresh coffee, lighting up the fire place and having a cozy Sunday morning. đ congrats to both of you!
I wasnât sold on the coffee machine up there until I saw the balcony. Now Iâm totally for it. Fresh coffee and out to the balcony. Perfect.
As a fellow millennial currently starting the process of buying her first home in Toronto, this has me SO excited!! I'd love to see updates/tours of your space as you continue to make it yours! It's truly gorgeous, what an amazing find
Absolutely gorgeous guys!! Congratulations!! I'm actually just so satisfied that you are putting the money you spent on office space into your home instead of renting a space. It makes so much sense.
If this is in downtown Toronto, It's definitely more than $1 million.
It looks like a town home, so still condo style property and associated expenses
@@RoBa808 townhomes downtown with this kind of renovation are more like about 1.2-1.5 million. This is probably 1 hour drive out.
This for sure is not downtown Toronto. This looks like the 905 based on the style of the townhouse and the price
No way that sht cost over 1M even if its in downtown Toronto
Agreed. This is not Toronto. GTA or further unless it's the ghetto side of Toronto. Maybe Peel or York region. But I think even York region would be above 1 mil. Haha could be Dhuram region
Hmm for that upstairs space when I saw it I thought of a coffee/snacks area but then I also thought about a charging area for your devices. Done for the day want to watch movies from your bed? Plug up your phone in the Coffee/Charging area then lay down on the bed and watch a movie. Wake up in the morning and want some caffeine? Well let me walk over to my personal bedroom coffee station. Also has the added benefit of you waking up to delicious coffee smell in the morning if you set it to start brewing right before you wake up.
Actually... LUNA will get eaten... so DON'T let her go outside without supervision !
I was gonna say that! hahaha
Yeah Lizzie is unfamiliar with how dangerous falcons are apparently. LOL
@@venom5809 đ
Don't worry we dont' let her go outside haha I was just joking
If your going to use the balcony for coffee you should be a coffee bar on the empty spot. Who wants to go down 3 levels to get coffee and go back up to sit outside?
That is the most scary House i have ever sen!!! Got e very cold feeling in my body...
Do you think you can tell us what region of Toronto your home is located in? ie. North, East or West? Iâm really curious to know where my partner and I can find a home like this for 1 mill. What a great find!!
Weâre in real estate and Iâm almost certain this isnât in downtown Toronto. For what it seems like a townhouse of this size and upgrades, you are looking at min. 30 minutes out of downtown Toronto. Good luck in your search
Mimico is the region I'm fairly certain
@@duncanmcdonald8257 Mimico is nice but itâs 30 minutes out from downtown Toronto
@@TeenaNikole actually it's about a 10min highway drive (no traffic) to the spadina exit. If this place is in mimico witch I don't think it is.
That built in in the bedroom is exactly that, a coffee nook, microwave, maybe a place for wine, an spirits.
Exactly! Or a place to plug in a little fridge for water, so you donât have to go all the way downstairs when you want a drink.
If you get a curtain and block off the suitcase area that would make it look better or put the suitcases downstairs which wouldn't be convenient but just an option. plus whatever yall are going to put on that "coffee station" maybe switch the door hinges to the other side? just throwing out some ideas. Congrats though its a dope new place cant wait to see what it becomes in the future.
Our market is so sad in the GTA.
So happy for you guys that you were able to make this massive move.
Wow, I seriously love this layout. Really cool that there is essentially one floor dedicated to work/creative. Great find!
Lizzie: *Posts Million Dollar Home video*
Me: *Starts researching starting a CZcams channel in 30 days* đ
Pretty much everyone who saw this video lol
1 Million dollar homes in Toronto are actually average, or a bit below average cost. :(
they do WAYYY more than just CZcams.
@@AnthonyGugliotta thatâs a fact. You get a small home for 1 million in Toronto. Condos and townhomes go for 500k plus on average here so...
@@AlexiusS This is true sadly a lot of people won't really acknowledge or see that because they are so used to seeing them on youtube. Even though they both have like 20 videos talking about business.
Iâm going to take a guess and say youâre not in the city, because I canât believe youâd get all that for $1 million. You certainly couldnât get that in Vancouver.
Agree. Central Toronto doesn't have tightly packed townhouses like this
Lol âTorontoâ is huge. She probably means the GTA.
She definitely ainât anywhere close to Toronto.. maybe in GTA if that was 2021
Toronto do be expensive tho! $1mil and you still gotta share walls with neighbors... ouch!
Actually I really don't think this is in core Toronto or it's over a million. Houses in neighboring cities around Toronto is going for way higher than a Million now
The little nook in the bedroom next to the bathroom. Put a coffee maker there. Itâs the best decision to be able to make a cup of coffee when you wake up without having to go all the way to the kitchen downstairs to get it. Congrats to you and Chris on the house. Looks amazing!!!!
đđŸđđŸFor me itâs the separate levels that lend themselves to added productivity in their own worlds by having that clear separation yet the overall space is big enough to keep you from feeling closed in. Great spread. Beautiful choice in home. Blessed upđđŸđđŸđđŸđ
Make that awkward shelf/table space in your master bedroom a coffee making station :)
My suggestion for that space would be to wire the house with speakers so you can play music throughout the house and security cameras. Make that your media command station. đ€
Speakers are already pre-wired ;) Big selling feature for me.
@@chrishau4584 Nioce!
I like the coffee station idea for that bedroom
space since you mentioned your bedroom
balcony as a coffee nook!! That way you wont have to go downstairs get coffee then go up
to the nook
That nook in your master bedroom, make it a snack and drink bar since you'd have to take 2 flights of stairs to get to the kitchen
Obviously that small awkward nook in the master bedroom should be used for a popcorn machine/snack bar type thing maybe some drinks too kitchen is quite far from up there âđ»
Very smart for you to sell while you could get a lot and invest in your future. Mazel Tov. That house is in MINT condition. Few cosmetic tweaks. We do kitchen and bathroom design and that kitchen is great (altho one day you may want to opt to quartz va marble). Even though you don't have a view or a huge yard, you have 3 floors and a finished basement with a bathroom! Plus, you need office space. I have an acre of property but wished we had a third floor so we could have a view of wineries (we live in Long Island, NY wine country). I say coffee station in bedroom with a beverage fridge. Congrats again! Can't wait to see it furnished!
My favourite part of the new kitchen is the pot filler! Don't forget to put a drain pan under the washer, sooner or later, the door will leak. Congrats Lizzie and Chris!
25 seconds in and I know I can't show this to my wife... that oven is b-e-a-utiful!
Congrats by the way! đ
Lizzie it is a beautiful place with a tremendous amount of potential... As a designer you are no doubt aware... but having had a home office in just about every place I've lived I do have three suggestions...First, I would setup that basement guest bedroom as also an office for when clients need to have a meeting with you... This could be accomplish with a murphy bed & a murphy styled conference table which would allow for mixed use... Second, I agree with Chris... In your bedroom I would have a coffee or espresso machine but since it is two floor down to the kitchen I would take it one step further... I put a mini refrig. there too plus maybe a little toaster oven or maybe even microwave... Third, strictly from a technical standpoint, I'd invest in Mesh Router System (NETGEAR Orbi RBK753), Ring Peephole Camera and HomePod Mini...
Lots of smart home tech coming at youuuuuu
@@chrishau4584 you know the difference between men & boys... price of their toys!
It's the energy and personality for me â€ïž!! This house is gorgeous for sure đ„
jeez thats actually a big ass home. 4 stories.. nice!
The best place for one 1 M in Baghdad gives you a house with 300 M with two flooring plus you own the land so you can build how many floors as you like, what is wrong happened in Canada đ
Such a huge house for 1m$!! In Montreal, downtown is coming very expensive. This probably will cost close to 1,5m$ 1,6m$ if it' s not more đđđ you guys are lucky đ
This house is straight up baller. So happy for you two! Congrats!
Ughhhhhhhh been looking at spots and just can't give up Toronto city life yet for the added space :(
Fam moving essentials video đ
In all fairness - we're a 10 minute drive from the downtown core :)
@@thechrishau Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that makes it worseeeeee... congrats though :D
@@thechrishauoh is 10 min North in Brampton? Lol
My house in Southern California is comparably priced (assuming you mean $1 million Canadian), but my whole house would fit in your garage. I do have a small yard, though, and the ocean is 2 blocks away, so, tradeoffs.
This is exciting! Canât wait to see it when youâve finished moving in and made it your own!
I love the overall layout! Looks really different from the here homes in Florida! Forgot homes have basements.
Your home is lovely. Thank you for trusting us enough to share . I hope you make lots and lots of happy memories here
And lots and lots of videos haha
gorgeous!! Such a rad new spot!!! Hyped for you!
You had me at wine fridge.
Love the house! For the bedroom upstairs with that weird cabinet over the staircase, my vote would be to rip it out and paint the wall left of the stairs a different color as an accent wall and fill it with artwork.
I am sure that some day I will meet you and Chris, you guys are the best!
Considering the size, the price tag is rather good. I wonder in which neighborhood this is located đ€
Exactly. Not downtown Toronto. That's for sure
First, Iâm coming to Toronto from Jersey to cook in that kitchen. Wolf and Subzero appliances are my dream right now.
Second, that odd nook in the bedroom should be a morning caffeine nook. Tea, coffee, and even have a small fridge for chilled stuff. A kettle would go well and then you can make coffee every morning the way Peter McKinnon does. đ
Your outfit is so cute. And your house is a dream!
I agree, coffee machine should be put in that weird nook area. Make it a cute coffee bar type thing! Gorgeous place overall!
4:30 - Don't step into the stain! 4:35 - Damn
LOLOL yaaaaa thats why we're ripping out the carpet lmao
I came here to comment this. I literally yelled at the TV, Noooooooooooo! Then damn. Beautiful house though. Just subscribed.
You could make the corner shelf above the stairs into a coffee/snack area, plus luna's food.
Okay a little espresso/coffee bar in the bedroom sounds like a DREAM! Do that!
We are not too far behind in home costs here in Ottawa. The old 'starter home' idea that existed 30 years ago when my wife and I bought our first home doesn't exist (from an affordability standpoint) anymore. I don't know how young couples will achieve home ownership without a serious period of debt. Beautiful home. Hey Chris...sherpa and cameraman for Lizzie!!! Yup totally understand. The role we have as hubby's!!!!
The place is nice, as someone who has a lot of family in Canada, especially Toronto I am pretty familiar with the prices and what you can get in that range an it's interesting to see in different locations. One uncle is in Mississauga and for what you paid has a 2,500 sq.ft house with basement, 2 car garage and big backyard, his house is 20+ years old. Another uncle just bought a condo in Oakville for the same money and that is about the same size as my other uncle's but much newer and nicer amenities and finishes but a lot less land. Meanwhile my house in Michigan for the same money is 5,000 sq.ft with another 2,000 in the basement, 3 car garage with a 2,000 sq.ft guest house with another 3 car garage, one acre pond etc. I kind of still prefer Toronto even though I would have a lot less space.
Wow thatâs amazing that you can get all that in Michigan sounds like a dream coming from Toronto
@@chellaa1 It's great until you leave your house and the shopping sucks, there's a lack of diversity with food, people, quality of people etc. That's one of the worst things about this pandemic, I used to go to Toronto almost every month and haven't been able to go there now since February. If I lived in the Toronto area my main things I would have to have is at least a half acre lot and 3 car garage and I would be fine.
You could use the little nook for accessories, perhaps jewelry boxes, etc đ
Man I think you guys are going to be working out 24/7 with all those stairs. Awesome house guys cant wait to see the transformation! Keep up the great work.
the bedroom above-stair-nook could be a phone charging station to keep them away from the bed but still hear alarms?
Wish you both the best of luck in your new home! Our home is our most important place in life. Congrats.
i had to pause the video, COFFEE MACHINE in that place ! it`s the best part of the day, wake up "alexa, turn on coffee machine" if this is not making into the next video, i`m clocking out!
The master bed is fire
Wow! Thanks for sharing... as an old guy all I can say is THAT IS ALOT OF STAIRS!!! LoL! Beautiful home, wonderful layout... Can't imagine that much space!!! But no studio shooting space? Best of luck in your new home!
I want to spend sometime building out the garage to do that.
@@chrishau4584 the reality is you got massive options ahead of you!!!
Make the nook in your bedroom a writing station separate from everything else for a change of scenery?
You gonna get inspiration in that master bathroom wooohoow
Beautiful house. The nook in bedroom, I would remove that cabinet and put some different sized plants and a cool large photo of the two of you on some sort of easel. Or remove cabinet and make it a Luna space if she can jump up there. Best wishes to you both!
There is a fitness CZcamsr named Annabell who use to have a house just like this. Im sure she has moved now. She lives in Toronto too so it might just be the same community or Toronto has a lot of properties built this way because of space.
Congratulations guys!
Make this your own Oasis.
Empty rooms but still sound is good.
That area in the master bedroom is perfect for a coffee and snack nook! That has to be it!
Enjoy the house! You totally deserve it! I am on my way to live from filmmaking...
That top floor should be your office and closet master bath with coffe machine one of the lower rooms should be for your bedroom and babyâs bedroom. Sorry by the upper floor is not really a bedroom size.
Beautiful home! You guys deserve this win. Would love to see how you guys decorate the space.
How did you get all this for a million bucks in Toronto?
Don't think it's in core Toronto, also think it's over a million. Even immediate outskirts will cost more for this kind of house
This video is a joke. đ
Coffee station would be interesting but turning that corner into a little bar station would probably suit this room better hahaha
COFFEE MACHINE. My first thought too. Nobody got time to go two floors down for their first cup haha. Congrats, it's a beauuutiful home.
Congrats on the house, looks awesome!
Regarding that little nook in the (master) bedroom... I think a little coffee station would make sense. And additionally with your concerns about privacy and - in a way - safety, why not set up a bit home automation and security system there. It's the highest room, no other entries ... At least that would be my reasoning.
Big congrats to you guys, you two are a huge inspiration and you deserve everything you guys have worked for
A huge congrats! We've also been house hunting in Toronto and it's quite a process so high fives all around for getting through it, now the fun part begins!!!
Ooo that's a beautiful home ! Can't wait to see more đ
I think Chris should set up his security NVR in the space in your bedroom!
Nice house can't wait to see when is furniture and you guys offices.
Congrats you two. Happy NEW HOME Living. Enjoy and wish you two the best. Love your content.
You guys should consult and feature Becki and Chris for the rennos, it would be a nice thing to watch
Congratulations on the new home, I look forward to seeing both of your working spaces when they are done.
I would have thought this was a condo... I think of houses as stand alone buildings with at least a fence between the next one lol
Welcome to Toronto where they build vertical and you're jammed up against your neighbour. These new 3 story dwellings are fine when you re younger but eventually all those stairs going up and down are a real pain in the butt.
this isnât really a house, youâre right, itâs a condo. but because they have a private entrance i guess theyâre calling it a house
O.o That's huge! For the empty space in the bedroom. It's a perfect fit for an aquarium :)
A Jura coffee center would be great in that open space. And that tub is AMAZING!!!!!
I agree little coffee station with a mini fridge for water and creamer!
I say coffee bar in the room since Chris has a totally cool one and you all have the built-in one in the kitchen
Hi how are you and Chris.I hope you both are fine congratulations for your new home I also wanna come to Canada Toronto and meet with you guys love you both take care good bye
My place at bloor and Lansdowne is like a third of the size of this for a million bucks :(
Congrats đđźâđš
Congratulations on your hard work earning such a lovely home. It is certainly not a small feat to buy a home in this age.
That being said, I am in the market of buying a new home in Toronto when I came across this video. I know the city as well as the GTA fairly well since I've grown up here my whole life and have worked in real estate for a few years.
I just wanted to say that you should be more transparent in where this is actually located because you are misleading your audience as well as misrepresenting our city to the online and international community.
For newcomers to Toronto/those searching: My best guess is this is most likely past Markham/Richmond Hill. Even with COVID pricing, NO townhouse like this would sell for 1m in pretty much any neighborhood Toronto. This is most likely in Aurora or Newmarket given the appearance of the neighborhood, price point, lot size, and sqft.
Again, great job on the new home just a little more transparency would be nice.
Natural separation of work and life (on ech floor) đđœ
