Hey everyone! Well...what can I say...I messed up! The other day I was happily grinding away for resources and getting ready for my next video, when I suddenly had to go to work! In my haste I accidentally forgot to shut down my game...and you can only imagine what happened! Oh and the best part? My farm was 100% FULL with crops, haha! I did the mad dash back home and got back just in time to find my base slowly getting destroyed by bots. I managed to fight off about 5 nights worth of haybots and greenies and went on to repair my base and get resources for some future builds I have in mind. All in all this could have been MUCH MUCH worse and I have learned some valuable lessons here :) Don't leave your game running and back up your save files!!! I hope you guys enjoyed watching this episode as much as I enjoyed playing it, and I will see you in the next one where I'll be showing a creation I have been working on!!

As for the next thing to do: get mounted spudguns and build a tiny tank. Will make defending the base easier and help out in warehouse raids.

@@darealkosmo It's fun! Just keep in mind that if you want to raid warehouses the lift is only 12x24 blocks, and there are some _really_ cramped spaces there, so the smaller, the better. Also the only bot that takes a bunch of shots is the farmbot near the ground entrance, so a dual-barrel full auto spud cannon is nice, but not required for anything else. Tape bots go down in one shot, greenies/squiddies in 3, heybots in 5. Speaking of tape bots, they are fairly low so if your tankette has 6-high (off the ground) wall you'll be safe. Actually, lemme go do some testing about that last part. My current tank is fairly high so that 6-block may not be accurate.
*EDIT:* 5 blocks is the minimum safe wall if both the bot and the player are on the same level. 4 works, but you have to be careful. If you are close to the wall and the bot is at a distance then the tape will still hit you.
An idea for the ‘fencing’ on your truck: make it out of net blocks! I think that will look good!
Oh no! Good thing they didn't break anything important. So you know, raid spawn at midnight and they will run away around 4am and despawn. Placing some T3 metal around will protect things as only the boss bot can break it. Suggestion for an auto door, place 2 sensors so that only a vehicle could trigger them (spaced apart), put on AND gate and use a timer so when the sensors stop you have a few seconds to get inside before it triggers door closed. Attach the AND gate to the door and to the timer, so that it opens instantly, but takes the timer to run out to close the door.
I think tier 2 metal also does the trick

If you always want to know exactly where your base is and not get lost then simply die inside your base, then leave 1 item in your bag, (seeds/something useless). That way wherever you go, the white bag icon will show you which direction home is. Hope that helps.
yoo....genius! So the respawn bag doesn't despawn? If so, that's is an excellent tip!
@@darealkosmo Yeah, it seems bags don't despawn so you can leave them as markers all over, just remember which is which.
Maybe you should invite kAN to fix up and upgrade your base on the next episode :)
Metal tier2 is safe for greenies and farm bots ...don't even need to build a wall, just a one block line across base in 3 or 4 blocks height, for start - works fine!
no it's not. I think you meant "greenies (totebots) and HAYbots". Farmbots are theb big guys and they can break anything when they aggro on you. Also Metal 2 isn't durable enough to withstand haybots (orange ones). You always need metal 3

Great farming/collection montage. A lot of people feel odd doing them it seems, but it's a necessity and it was kinda needed in your case. In the words of Nelson Muntz "Ha Ha, your base was eaten."

Yeah man, I figured it's a 2 birds 1 stone situation, show everyone the grind that goes into playing this game, and also get stocked up. Not that I'm out to " disprove the haters", but this episode wouldn't even exist if I was cheating lol.
I think people don't like including the grind aspect because from the creator perspective it's not very exciting to watch. So I totally get why it gets left out, but once in a while it's fun to throw in :)
I think the best choice for you it would be best to go for a decent miner, preferably drills on suspension, as for your choice (glider vs spudgun), it would ease up your nights and fights by a ton getting a spudgun, the only ingredient missing (dwarf flesh ;) ) can be easily brough to the trader using the scorpion claws made to roll the poor guy in front of the vehicle, I found this to be quickest and most efficient resourcewise way to do it. Glider is fun stuff too, but much less useful since water is really poorly populated by places of interest as by now. You can also buy seeds of cotton in the latest update so you dont need to travel too far. Great series, love it that you did show the amount of grind you need for a full inventory, gets bigger picture of the game imo, hope you continue and develop the channel further, see you below the next video ;)

All blocks that has 7 or above durability, can't be attack by smol bots but big bot can 😂😁
It's actually durability 6 and above.
Kosmo should get the Spudgun since range means he can stay behind a wall during a raid.

@@NSarg04 scrapman haybot luxury house is made with metal 2, and no body has ever broke it, metal 2 is the correct tier
a repair based scrap mechanic challenge would be cool. either using variable levels of difficulty or each player builds a vehicle. Then the vehicles get attacked by explosives/farmbots and the other players must repair it trying to get it looking as close to the origion as possible

I was going to suggest making an and gate, a sensor and a switch.
So you can have it detect you or your vehicle but can be turned off but someone beat me to it.
Also if you make a jetpack you will need to upgrade it for efficiency Takes like 100 I've heard Kann say.

A way to fix the atv is put metal blocks on the front :)
I doubt you’ll read this for such an old video, but I wouldn’t mind the build sections being normal speed even if you’re not talking. Just watching your thought process as you build is pretty interesting. If you don’t want it in your video, you could do a smaller video of it set to music interspersed with whatever you happen to say throughout building it, if anything at all. All the sped up videos are probably hell for you, because it takes so much more of your time to put them out than it does for us to watch it.

If you build your vehicles and your stuffs out of tier 2 metal, only the boss and the tapebots will destroy them, because it has 7 durability, so haybots and totebots won't touch them
Metal 2 has 6 durability. Metal 3 has 7
@@NSarg04 6 is good enough. All my fortifications are concrete 2. Never gets damaged by anything other than the big reds.
convert your stone to brick (it is a 10 to 10 block ratio and brick has a higher durabilaty)

Shack walls SUCK due to the poor durability. Get rid of them and replace with concretes or metals
He already has said that he knows about the low durability but he likes the aesthetics of them
Like Pascal said, I dig the shabby look of it, but once I am completely out of shack walls I will definitely replace them with proper material! :)
