Hi guys, I am not the tech but the video guy. But you use the cleaning cartridges to put your printer into long storage. If you don't and turn your printer off you will get blocked heads and be in all sorts of problems. Make sure you leave the printer on so with plenty of ink and enough room in your wast tank so your printer can do head cleans and keep the ink flowing. You drain the waste tank into a safe container we use lawn mower tin cans (keep about 4 of them) and arrange for a certified waste company to pick up the 4 at one go. Sift through the menu and look for long storage and insert the cleaning cartridges and off you go. The you get about 2 go's out of each catridge but they would have probably been half used in the initial setup. You will also go through a bit of ink when you take the Mutoh out of long storage when you are flushing the cleaning solution (which is just solvent without the ink. Hope this helps. I dream of that plotter that you have ... I like it a lot because they say it is the most resolute plotter on the market is it true? Has a lot of quality The double that all? .... can you print small cell phone casing? Have you tried fluorescent inks? Please tell me everything you can tell me about your plotter ... thanks friend
when i bought my Mutoh ValueJet 1204 it came with these Cleaning cartridges do you know how to use them? and what their purpose is? how often to use them? Thanks
