One of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. Julia's performance of it was wonderful. When I started to learn to play the violin in 2016, I had one main goal, and that was to eventually be able to play this song adequately (whatever that meant). Little by little, I have been making progress, but Julia's video has given me some new insights into how to approach certain parts of the piece. I had been playing measures 17 and 18 in first position and from her video, I see that I need to move these phrases up into a higher position. I had also been playing measures 18 to 21 in first position. From the video, I can see that this line will work better when played on the G string only, moving up and down on the string. This sounds so much better than what I had been doing. Thanks to Julia for this excellent video. Perhaps someday, I will reach my goal of playing this piece adequately (whatever that means).

Beautifully done but my skill level not quite ready for all those shifts. I can read the music and could maybe play it on a piano though.
? 4u in reading how do you know were to put your fingers? In first position?
Or 2\3\4etc ?a g in first position or up high?I have same problem on guitar!
Notes I can read but I don't get concept of playing notes beyond 3rd fret?
Or high on violin neck? Because notes look the same abcdefg frets one
To third.how you know when on guitar or violin to play up high on. The neck?
