Hey Steven! I'm so excited to be getting Vanilla Leather in the next few days. BDK is one of my absolute favorite perfume houses! All 8 bottles I own were all successful blind buys. 😊 Their fragrances always perform great & I love their sprayers - works so well! I wish all my perfume bottles had sprayers like theirs. Lol. A lovely fragrance, one that I tired during my time in Milan. On first impressions I had thought that there was a slight oud to it, but I was wrong, it’s just how beautifully the leather and the tones of sweetness and softness from the florals that created that experience for me. Love the reviews!

I have about 6 from BDK, and I have heard about this one, but I was hesitant because of the Leather note.... but now I'm curious to at least get a sample...and I love Raised Spirits, so if it vibes like that...then I may need it😂

I love it but my experience of it is quite unlike yours. I don't get much leather. I don't get much iris at all, either. I do get mostly floral notes because I mostly get sweet violet. The main reason I love it is I love violets. I also wouldn't wear it in autumn. It's a spring perfume for me.

Hi Stephen...so here's a thought...because of the fragrances u compared it to, and based on the notes as well, I already own Minuit et Demi...and also the beautiful, smooth, discontinued Violet Blonde from Tom Ford, which also has pink pepper, violet, iris and leather, which presents as a really smooth suede...do u see where Im going?😅 I'm thinking a layering combo might possibly bring it really close to Vanille Leather...and make it a bit redundant. What do you think?❤
Oh wow! I totally understand what you mean. In my opinion, I don't think it's redundant at all. I would still suggest that you pick it up because the leather note is pronounced and there are other things happening in the fragrance that give it complexity. I hope this helps. Please sample it if you can.
