The fact that the chronicled wish doesn't last the whole patch is a disappointment. It also begs the question if they plan on ever having "non-meta" characters ever have a rerun. I want Albedo but that banner makes feel a little gross
yeah, i want Klee but who knows if they're going to have another Klee banner anytime soon because of this banner. on the bright side, it seems like they're sticking to the specific region theme and since Liyue and sumeru only have 2 standard 5-stars those banners should have more limited characters on them.

It's insane that not only does the 3rd banner not carry pity over but it lasts 1 banner phase and has "Beacon Of Reeds Sea" / "Hunter's Path" I'd be tempted to roll on it for those 2 weps over everything else if it just lasted awhile overall
I pulled on the chronicled wish cause I really wanted hunters path for my Tighnari. Got it on my 1st ten pull with the 21 intertwined fates that I had. Super happy, didn’t even have to burn any of my primos. Super lucky 😂.
I don’t know why they didn’t put sacrificial greatsword on the banner for Dori. It generally fixes her energy problems.
I feel conflicted about the new banner because I want the wolfs gravestone but also there's kahzuha and then soon archilino that I want to save for

I'll play devils advocate. Chronicled wish is the better weapon banner. To those that don't wish on weapons banner at all because you might have to lose pity *twice* for a guarantee, this is only once. If you are trying to get constellations for your favorite 4 star mondstat characters like Kaeya. Then you have a way better chance pulling on this banner. The upsides is for people that want certain pulls that the normal or limited don't provide. You can guarantee Mona now for example. Or Hunters Path without needing to use 240 pulls if your luck sucks ass.
I think they are trying to prove that chronicled wish might have some banger hits, with this patch. That's why the limited banner characters are so garbage.
It's funny you mentioned Kuki Shinobu because that's literally one of the only reasons I would consider pulling for this banner because I really need her for a hyperbloom team. Easiest skip considering it's Neuvillette and Kazuha after this banner.

I'm down for this banner. Been wanting Itto for long time, so already a win there. Down to get more constellations for Gorou, and yes Dori too. The only personal issue is Yun Jin, but that's only because I have her c6. If I didn't then it wouldn't be an issue. I don't see the banners being bad as people are claiming haha

As many four-stars I have built up, and eyeing Chiori and Itto, I've got an interest in building Yun Jin (finally something of a Yoimiya main myself) and Gorou (aforementioned Geo characters), and prolly Dori for the flex~
Helps that I already have Kazuha and Neuvillette, though I am tempted by the latter's first constellation...
Well boys, this going to take a while.
Chronicled Wish is great as a way for Hoyo to rerun more characters more often and also get limited weapons with 50/50. The "Fate Point" system is fine because you pretty much need 180 wishes to guarantee what you want, just like the regular banners. Don't know why everyone calls it a scam, because now players won't have to wait 2 years for their favorites to rerun 😂
I agree, the people complaining are people who don't save 180 wishes to guarantee their character and pity builders
I've been thinking the same thing. Plus, if I recall correctly, pity still carries over. it's just the fate point that doesn't. So even if you can't rack up enough wishes before the banner ends, you'd be able to get a shot at the 5* on the next Chronicled Wish within fewer pulls. Also, losing your 50/50 on Chronicled Wish would be better than regular event banners, without a doubt. You're guaranteed a character if you charted course for one, which means no more losing 50/50 to Skyward Blade, and you have a good chance of getting a limited event character rather than a 5th Qiqi or Jean

Im saving for Alhaitham. But if Arlecchino comes with a promising kit I will go for her 1st. If not I'm pulling both Furina & Alhaitham. Assuming all of them will be in 4.6 banners. Currently have 200 wishes and a 5 star guarantee. 😊

I don't have Gorou, Dori nor any of the upcoming 5 Stars (so I only got Yun Jin).
I'm at 50 pity. I was considering doing two 10pulls in these banners to maybe get a couple missing 4 Stars (Gorou and Dori), and save my 70+ pity for both Kaedehara and Neuvillette... but if I do those 20 pulls, I'm risking getting "lucky" and getting Chiori or Arataki Itto (and I'm not really interested in them). Anyone got any suggestion for my "dilema"? Should I "risk" getting "lucky"? If I do so... in Chiori's banner or Itto's banner?
Save your pulls for the next banner if you don’t like the the featured 5star. Your next 5star could be very next wish you use.

Dori is actually really good in Furina hyperbloom teams in c6. Her healing is very good, allowing her to get fanfare stacks easily and you don't need Yaoyao/Baizhu/Kokomi etc for healing so you can increase the team's damage with Nahida/Yelan/Xingqiu. Before c6 tho she isn't worth using

The ally weapons are 2 of the 25 4-star weapons I don't have and I kind of want to pull just for them at this point 😂 Sadly, no weapon banner until Arlecchino for me.
Edit: Im definitely pulling for Albedo though. I've been waiting for his re-run in forever. Plus, I want Amber and Kaeya cons and I don't need to pull until 4.6.
I was excited for these banners to get some Gurou cons, and if I happened to get an early Chiori for my Itto then even better! But as someone who has c6 dori already (from the last time she was on a banner), and since Yun Jin is pretty niche, I guess I’ll have to wait over a year for my Gurou cons
Still good, another dori gives 5 starglitter you can use them for more summons
I mean if your objective is to upgrade your Itto team, this is as good a spot as any to get it in.
Seems unlikely the stars would align better in terms of different 5-star you also want AND better selection of 4-stars.

There are some really good 5 stars in the coming patches (Kazuha, Furina, etc) and I heard Xingqiu was supposed to be in this banner so maybe in the next one ? It might be worth it more to put my primos there. And then Natlan is approaching on August. Being f2p forces some tough decisions man 😔

Very casual, F2P, slooow, player here. I was excited about the Chronicle Wish characters, but it sounds like I shouldn't try for them? I'm still not sure what terms like Pity and 50/50 mean; any chance someone could explain why the Chronicle Wishes are not a good idea? And please explain it as though I'm a child lol.
On regular limited character banners, you have a maximum of 90 pulls before you hit a 5-star. You could get lucky and get it earlier, but 90 is the limit.
Your progress towards that max is called "pity", i.e. the game taking pity on you for being unlucky so they finally give you something.
"50/50" refers to the 50% chance you have upon hitting a 5-star for it to actually be the featured 5-star on the banner. By default you start on the 50/50 track, but if you lose 50/50 you get moved to the "Guaranteed" track. "Guaranteed" means next 5-star you hit on that same type of banner will be the featured. Guarantee is transferable across banners of the same type, so it is possible to save your guarantee for a better spot if you don't want to redeem it right now (or if you just don't have the pulls to make it to 5-star right now).
What makes Chronicle banner different is a) it is considered different type of banner than limited character banners, so your pity/guarantee doesn't transfer between the two, either incoming or outgoing; b) more importantly, guarantee (in Chronicle's case referred to as "fate point") DOES NOT TRANSFER even within the same type of Chronicle banner. If you are still holding a guarantee when the current Chronicle banner ends, you lose it forever. This is drastically different from how it works on limited character banners, and is much less player friendly. Therefore do not wish on Chronicle unless you already have the full 180 pulls committed (90 for lost 50/50, + 90 for guarantee in worst case scenario). If you do or are willing to spend to complete the guarantee, then you are fine.

It can be, just not recommended on this specific banner since all three 4-stars are super-niche, and both 5-stars are super-niche. If you like them, of course feel free to pull.
Otherwise, you might consider holding for a few weeks until the second phase banner with Kazuha/Neuvillette drops, as that will likely yield better results.
@phoenixlau I got a second f2p account and I am ar 35, did spend my first 50 wishes on it. Got sucrose, fischl, Bennett c1, also got noelle and razor. So f2p beginner with a c1 Bennett and c1 fischl is very good. I didn't got a 5 star
Tbh i like the chronicled wish. Bcuz now the chances are higher for tje character you want rerunning. Since we might end up with 2 wishes per patch. In 4.7 mondstat might be a better banner tbh.
Genshin is a game were any character can be good/fun if u put in the work,🤣 speaking as a yunjin/Beidou duet main❤️.
dori clears kuki in electro application when paired with jean. Any downtime will be used by her E+NAs if c6 or the dendro/hydro of the team

I think the only type of person the new banner is worth pulling for are the diehard Eula and Albedo mains with the primos to spare (I know Eula mains who don't think most characters are worth pulling unless it's Eula, so they really save).

The new banner is really good. I don’t get why people complain about it so much. The average cost for getting your 5-star is the exact same, you just have to make sure to save a lot of them, as the 50/50 loss doesn’t carry over. Arguably, you can still even just burn wishes on it if you atleast have over 90 wishes, as pity still does carry over (meaning if you do happen to get a 5 star then with a 50/50 lost, you still get to use the other 90 wishes to get your 5 star)... and the weapons on that are just factually better...
It's a very good banner... The only people complaining about it, are people with no self-control who always need to wish...
As a very easy rule of thumb: when you don't have a guranteed point, only wish on the banner for while you have over 90 wishes. All else can be used up.
You're contradicting yourself. If the "correct" way to wish is to always have the full total beforehand, why are you recommending carrying over pity (passing on current featured)?
If you acknowledge that carrying over pity is a valid strategy, then how does that square with you refusing to acknowledge carrying over guarantee is a valid strategy as well?
And if carrying over guarantee is a valid strategy, in fact being one of THE MOST valuable resources available to F2P/low spenders to target high priority characters, then how can you in good conscience glaze this banner as anything but a scam which shorts those same players the value of that transferable guarantee by making it disappear on Chronicle?

Are you sure you read my comment and/or understand the New banner? I literally said to not wish on it unless you can gurantee getting your 5-star... The actual cost per 5-star however is still the same. It literally isn't a scam, when you get exactly the thing you want with the expected price, that being the same as for any other 5-star character... The only time you can call this a scam, is when you yourself don't know about these mechanics... Which a) wouldn't really make it a scam anyway and b) I specifically just said how it worked and how to use it... If you follow that, there is literally no scam to be had... If you can't save up 90 wishes at least once to set as a basis (see the 90 as if you had 0 wishes), then that seems like your issue...
@@RealQuarlie Carrying pity on Chronicle has a very obvious drawback, which is that your pity is trapped on Chronicle banner.
Since Chronicle pity does not transfer to regular limited character banners, any wishes trapped this way are obviously no longer available for pity/guarantee there.
They are of course available for the next Chronicle banner... which is when, exactly? With which characters, exactly?
So "literally zero drawbacks" apparently means "a ton of drawbacks I will conveniently not mention". Are YOU sure you understand the new banner?

If you consider this a big enough drawback to call it a scam, then the Event Banners are the biggest scams, considering the chronicle banners swap characters and weapons much more quickly with much more characters and weapons... So your Pity in that is worth much more than in the Event Banner. The only benefit the Event Banner has here, is that it does include characters, who haven't been on the banner 3 times yet... So not really that much of a drawback for the majority of the characters anyway, as over 70% of all 5 Stars so far have been featured 3 times by now

Don't worry, the other banners will be good. Kazuha is one of the best supports in the game and Neuvellette is a crazy damage dealer. Just make sure to save for 3 weeks and you'll be good!

Back-to-back horrible 4-stars gives me hope for Kazuha & Neuv or Furina & Arlecchino banners.
Layla is due for a rerun and pairs great with Neuv. Kaveh is probably being saved for Nilou rerun. Yanfei might show up which is good at c4.
Unfortunately Razor, Heizou, & Mika are due for a rerun too, with Lynette, Sayu, & Barbara coming after that. So not much to pick from there.
The power five + kuki are due after them. Chevruse is definitely re-runing with Arlecchino, probably with Fischl, & there's Charlotte for Furina.

I am so disappointed by the 4 stars my stomach is so sick especially cause they know the people wishing for C1 Chiori or going for Navia but none of the 4 stars work with Chiori/Navia like wth so if you spend all that money and don't get Chiori then you essentially got nothing and better off getting off banner 4 star/weapon

@@vigneshkumar9880if you are into building teams then pull kazhua cuz it's a very good 5 star support character so many abyss speed runners and experienced players always use kazhua in their team and then neuvellte is god level character he can solo abyss it's an on field dps character which can handle anyone also satisfying to play with when we launch his water blaster so if you are not into team building and want to pull for characters which you like then go for neuvellte and then next update Arlechino cuz Arlechino is also gonna be the god level character like neuvellte but in Pyro element according to leaks and rumours so it depends on how you play the game.. well you can always pull for characters in their next rerun ( if you ask me iam not into team building I pull for those characters which I like iam also f2p so iam gonna pull for neuvellte and Arlechino then game will become easier to play and I can kill those mf abyss mages and abyss lecter) furina is also great support character and also her DGM is high she is also used in so many teams and Alhathem is on field dendro character and it's very good with nahida if you have her I want to pull for him also but not now Arlechino comes first 😼

Itto bad? I saw a player deals a lot of damage with full geo. His itto deals 200k then 100k than consecutive 50k. He cut the wenut's life to half in one rotation, not even my double hydro hyperbloom do it that fast. I dont know about constellation tho.
I mean throw enough money at a problem and it fixes itself.
Bear in mind that we just got the dreams of 4.6 Abyss lineup and it's full of elemental shield checks on both sides (heralds, Baptist, etc.). Enjoy, mono geo connoisseurs!

I'm devoted to Nilou ten billion percent, so Kazuha and Neuvillette banners are a hard pass for me, no matter who the featured 4 stars are. Even if you put the 3 best 4 stars in the game on the banner.

I wouldn't say Yun Jin is bad, she's just on the wrong banner. She should have been paired with Yoimiya. Since I didn't have her, I decided to use my free Lantern Rite character to grab a copy. Turns out that was the right move. No one wants to pull on this banner unless they're building a mono-geo team.

Is there a possibility that they made the 4-stars so bad to drive people to the new Chronicled Wish banner so they can cite its success? I freely admit I am wearing my tin foil hat for this one. Also, I don't think the CWB is a scam, but it is for players with self-control and those focused on a goal. It's not for casual or careless wishing. Additionally, characters who show up on the CWB are less likely to clog up the limited banner. That's a positive.

Ironically, I think the limited banners were so bad because Hoyo wants to see how the Chronicled Wish banner goes.
I can't believe the chronicled banner will last only 3 weeks. It's a scam and a trap. I mean whoever wants to wish on that banner best oif luck, but you will needd it.
