This was extremely helpful. It helped relieve the stress of deciding between the many options of paper to chose from

Excellent video and I appreciate you mentioning the other paper types. As a result I discovered Moab's Slickrock Metallic Silver 300! Thank you! :)

I really enjoyed this video! I was thinking about a printer with a high DPI, but after watching this, it reminded me that I need a 5+ ink printer. It would be good to see the differences between a 5 ink printer vs an 8 ink one like this, as I'm trying to determine what my budget needs to be. Thanks!

What is the longevity of Canon Pro Premium Matte paper????? No one seems to be able to answer this question. Can you? Thanks.

Great Video. Do you let Photoshop handle the colours or do you leave it to the Canon Pro 100 S to control them?

    • @user-xs4mu8xm7d
      @user-xs4mu8xm7d Před 4 lety +2

Usually, I'll let the printer control the colours in my print settings within Photoshop. However, one might want to increase the exposure a tiny bit when printing to account for the lower brightness of the paper medium as compared to the monitor screen, especially for scenes with a lot of blacks and shadows.

Can i use artists watercolor paper like Daler Rowney smooth - heavyweight 220gsm or must i stick exclusively with proprietary papers only? I wouldn't want to damage the printer's inkjets etc

I want to know if the Canon photo paper you are referring to is Acid free? I'm printing my art prints and I need to be sure they aren't going to fade in the near future :)

I'd like to know that too. But unfortunately it looks like Ted's Camera Stores does not respond to questions.

Out of curiosity, what are the key differences between the canon photo paper types "Photo Paper Plus Glossy II" PP-201 and PP-208? Aside from the price and GSM differences, I can't tell the difference between the two; and their print quality seems similar too.

hi great video, thank you - im looking for a paper for my canon pixma pro 100. size A3 - its important that the paper will roll up nicely without getting crinkled in the process. the poster needs to look great when the customer unrolls it. ( i ship in tubes)
could you recommend a paper - i would prefer the paper to be "natural" looking and not completely white

Would the Pro-100 work well with Hahnemule Photo Rag, please?

      Hi Jenny,
Yes, it's perfect for Hahnemule papers.
You can download canon printer profiles from the Hahnemule website here... www.hahnemuehle.com/en/digital-fineart/icc-profile/download-center.html

      Hi Jenny,
Sorry, we don't stock Hanemule. So we haven't used that exact combination.
But the Canon Pro 100 works amazingly with the other rag papers we've used
