Spring has officially sprung! And with it has come an intense desire to declutter and organize EVERYTHING....including the chaotic book mountain that lurks in the corner of my bedroom, beneath which lies a bookshelf of ages past. In this video I manage to unhaul enough books for my bookshelves to see the light of day once more ☀️ I also share my favorite Springtime reads because what better way to romanticize this season?
A cozy spring video would be incomplete without a bit of baking as well, so I attempted a lemon blueberry bread much to the delight of my tastebuds 🫐🍋

Love your jean cutoff segment. when you get a sewing machine just stitch a line of stitching right above where you cut -as far up as you would like them to fray. that stitch line will help them not to fray too far. cute jeans!

I can't tell you how much comfort this video was to me friend. ❤️ As you know, I'm having a rough time in my life. These videos really feel like hanging out with a friend (in a way 🌞). I feel a sense of joy and peace and contentment while watching that is so soothing to my heart. I love this casual style video (it is still beautiful and art in the way that is unique to you!) and it's so wonderful that you can take the pressure off and enjoy filming in this way. I'm reading Emily of New Moon by LM Montgomery, and I have to say that for me, it's right up there with Anne for me. It's so charming and enchanting! Highly recommend for Green Gables fans 👌
The beginning hit too hard, I had to stop reading💔 I need to get back to Emily!
@Vriksha tree one thing I don't care for is that a lot of it is told in an epistolary style where Emily is writing about her daily life in letters to her father who has passed. I would've preferred more of a story format for Emily's adventures in some places. I really enjoyed the usual Montgomery "joys" like her poetic descriptions of nature, the sweet and funny parts, CATS! lol, and the Wind Woman, fairies, etc. It would be hard to top Anne though haha!
I've always loved Emily more than Anne ❤❤ Love Anne a lot too!

I can't get over how much work you can do in one day! It's been many years since I have been able to work hard like you have. I've also got a lot of books 📚 needing to be tidied and sent to new homes. It was marvelously satisfying to watch you tidy and bake such a lovely lemon and blueberry pound cake. You have my mouth watering 😊!!!

I love Sarah Addison Allen and Garden Spells was my first introduction too. The magical realism is a vibe and she has a great way of weaving her characters together as a family. There is a follow up book and several other stand alones! Thank you for posting such chill videos 💕

Again a really wholesome and healing video. I always calm down SO much from watching your videos. Garden Spells is such a beautiful book, and if you love it, I can highly recommend her other books too. The peach keeper is my favourite of them all I think, but that answer always changes when I pick up a book by her and gush about it. I have the lost lake on my tbr at the moment, that story sounds so beautiful as well!

Love your videos Morgan. So glad your love of books continues. You loved having books read to you when you were little, Goodnight Moon was a favorite, I remember reading it to you several times. I have been purging my books recently. Years and years of books. I have sorted out hundreds to donate, only keeping lots of non-fiction and the fiction by my favorite authors. Still have hundreds more to sort thru, l love "real" books, but do most of my reading on my Kindles now.

A few days ago I found some books of the Anne of Green Gables book series at a free library 😀. I would like to read the series for some time now, because I only watched the child show and maybe read the first book when I was little. I actually don't know which work/further education Anne got after school 😮. Would be really a nice spring read 😊 🌸. I think Anne would be spring, too, because she is so refreshing, loving and full of energy. Oh, you could do another little free library tour with the unhauled books, I loved your first one 😊

I forgot that I'd read the first one about 2 years ago, after another of your recommendations! And I loved it. So please, do keep doing the bookish videos. I really enjoy them. I take all my pants to be hemmed at an alterations shop. I am 5'2" and am quite large around LOL so, in order to find pants that fit they are often too long. Most dry cleaners can also alter clothes. 🙂

For books you have already read, turn the book around so the spine is facing the other way so all you see are the ends of pages. That way you'll know what you haven't read yet and won't be distracted by titles you've already read.
