WE MADE IT TO JAPAN! In this first video we stop at Round1 Arcade in Odaiba and found this Mario Party Coin Pusher game, also known as a Medal Game in Japan. This games so awesome! We played so much that we had to break it up into 2 parts, so stay tuned!

This is the most complicated coin pusher ever. 5 minutes into the video and I still haven't figured it out.

Don't worry, the people playing the game didn't figure it out either. To be honest, this was extremely frustrating to watch. For those wondering, The slots that have the blue lights (in the beginning) give mario the dice rolls when a coin passes through the slot. In the top center of the screen there is a dice meter. Starts blue, then green, then red as you accumulate the dice rolls. After they maxed out the dice rolls, it was pointless to keep pumping in the coins (no more slots lit up to target). They needed to let the dice game/animation play out since the outcome of the dice rolls will sometimes give you free coins (in the pusher field), claw grabs, etc.
Also, they need to time their coins so they land when the pusher is fully extended. This maximizes the coins that will fall onto the lower deck. Also note: on the lower deck, both sides are open where the coins can fall and the house keeps. You only get the coins that fall off the front. Their method stacks the coins on the lower level effectively causing a higher % of coins to fall off the sides instead of the front.
I was half way in to the vid, my wife came in to the office, when I minimized she asked what I was doing.. I said "porn" so I wouldn't have to explain why I'm watching this instead of cleaning.

This game doesn't appear to be timed, but they were so frantic to keep rapid firing instead of trying to figure out what was happening, is there a reason for that or are these guys just spazes?

Stimulation overload!!! This coin pusher game is awesome!! Seeing coins flying like crazy and not having a clue what the hell is going on. Smashing buttons and throwing coins like there’s no tomorrow! Love it! I Gotta find this game!
I love how interactive these are. The fact you're touching the tokens and there is like 14 levels of playing in here. I wish we could get these in bald eagle land :(

when you got claw or eggs and specials you should stopped putting coins in as it dont move you on the board while thats going on so meaning you missed loads of things by just carrying on putting coins in
Why am I watching this? Because the game is insane and I love Japanese technology and ingenuity.

Yall should check out the Google Translate app! They have a feature where you can select the language> hold it up to text>then it will translate. It isnt perfect but its super cool and gives some general understanding!

I like these machines, the lights, still had no clue how to play it.
Looks pretty simple, get the coin through the light sensor and it triggers the screen which then gives a chance to win a bonus
Why can't we have cool shit like this in the US
All of my free time would be used playing this game if i had a way to play it... but unfortunately I live in a country that is SO far behind japan when it comes to Arcades and entertainment in general
