The strongest spider web belongs to the Darwin spark spider, and the spider weighs roughly .5 grams and can shoot its web roughly 80ft. If the proteins are isolated than it could possibly be recreated, and if it's scaled up to the weight of a person it could hold together well enough to swing from. All that would be needed is to create a webshooter that acts like the silk gland. I would love to see something like this irl
The problem is that the spider web being thin is a necessity for it to dry in time.
Perhaps if you made something that shot out a ton of really tiny strands, it could work.
bro did his research
So we gotta milk some Spiders?? I’m down 😂
@@SuperIsaiah that is what they do in the franchise and they can also wrap up together BY THEMSELFS

It blows my mind how like he wouldve never been able to just get down that high, that easy, without the webshooters. Worlds first real life superhero in the making.
So cool! If possible you should try to add a quick release to the rope mechanism instead of letting it unravel all the way. Also you should make a second web shooter for the other hand, also find out a way to make the web shooter retract if you can
Dude I love that you actually paired the climbers with the web shooter to go for the full spiderman experience - and it really worked! Seriously incredible. Your ingenuity is impressive - this is what engineering is all about!!
Imagine if he could to like stick to a wall swing, grab another wall would be actually pretty much spider man
It's been almost 5 years since I saw those old web shooter videos with the colorful cartridges! I remember buying a whole bunch of lighters to try and make them! ...and then I forgot about it lol. It's genuinely been such a treat to see you grow over the years, dude! Keep killing it :)
I agree
hi brother
you just need another one to actually control your direction and acceleration. find a way to shoot 1 shoot 2 retract and reshoot 1 etc.. that’ll be about as close as you can get. maybe find a way to make a web that doesn’t… kill people!

This man has the ability to actually become spiderman since he can shoot webs, swing, and climb walls. Huge round of applause for this man.
Probably a Litr version of Spiderman since its too risky to swing from buildings to buildings and also he doesnt have spider sense and Super strength but it would be still pretty cool if spiderman is real

I am really amazed that how a human being can achieve this step by step in front of my eyes.❤
Wow, not only is the finished product crazy, but the fact that Jake casually made an initial design that can actually wrap webbing around targets and still went on to make the nail-based design in the same video is insane! I love to see the evolution of his Spider-Man gadgets, and I think that with some refining (and maybe adding other features to the suit like the Hacksmith's Lidar Spidey-Sense and BuiltIRL's grappling hook web shooters,) a fully-fledged Spider-Man suit could very well be finished within months!
Dude I was just thinking about this, and I was like "wow is this how we get our Spiderman??"
Phaha
Wow now he only needs to do it all over again and do it for the other hand
I think the video cuts out insane amounts of work that took to get to that point. Because he don't want us to try the same at home and die. 🤣
a collab with Hacksmith and Jlaser!
he is actually VERY close here. all he really needs is a way to reload quickly and to shoot webs off both arms (also super strength but that’s a different story)
something that might work is having shooters off both arms and getting super high being able to reload one at a time while airborne or some unlimited supply which could maybe work with a lot of substances, but it's a lot of timing and effort to make it work
@@kobebrian69420 you'd need to design cartridges with the projectile and the pre wrapped rope and design it so you have a separate spool or something for each. It'd take some designing of both the shooter and the cartridge but it could probably be worked out and done. You might even be able to design a magazine system that you strap to your waist or something. The strength bit could be taken up partly with a suit with exoskeleton but keeping the weight down as well as getting it strong enough would be hard but the exoskeleton could take the weight off your arm and help spread it around the body, not to mention you could move the gas bottle etc to your back making the system on your arm smaller and easier to design for multiple shots and it'd help a little when something broke which let's face it will probably happen and no matter how quick you are you're reloading and Shooting another to catch yourself like spiderman does when one of his breaks or he's falling off a building.
i was thinking a web shooter for each hand so when he shoots and hang on that one he can shoot on the other one and reload the first hand to swing
An idea to add is a quick release so he can swing more than once.
He’s not anywhere near close. In the comics, Spidey’s webs can hold cars suspended from bridges. He’s just gotten further than anyone else has.
Dam the determination it is amazing
You surely earned a sub and like with this one can't wait to see more, also can't wait to see how good the mini version is.
i swear this man is a cornerstone in an era of youtube engineering that’ll go down in history
I've had a theory before on how the Spiderman web shooter actually works in the past.
In the cartoon, its always a single really thick cartridge, but I always thought that it can't be a single chemical, and it can't activate unless it comes in contact with the air as well, or it would clog the very shooter.
My guess is that the cartridge is separated into sections of liquids and fires them with extreme pressure through a very tight nozzle that mixes the liquids. Since Spidey says that his spider silk is biodegradable, I would think it is organic, which would lead me to believe it is made out of proteins and aminoacids, mainly Fibroin, Alanine, Glycine and Serine, just like the silk from both Spiders and Silkworms, possibly also starch and other thickening agents.
Under pressure, the liquids would be able to shoot for a HUGE distance, but as they are mixed they would already start to become a strand and when they come out from the nozzle and come in contact with the air, they would expand, thicken and become a rope like material, making for a even small amount of liquid mix would already have a considerable volume of rope that is both adhesive and can resist quite a bit of weight.
Yo we need to like this comment more so he sees it
Whoa... fucken genius actually
Peter can't just mix up all the chemcals into the one cartridge
@@Sunlord330 still worth a shot on figuring out how/if we can implement this, at least in my opinion
Dude I was just ab to say that

I think I remember another CZcamsr trying to replicate Spider-Man's swinging, and he had the great idea of using an exo-skeleton, so that when you swing you're safer and also the tension is distributed throughout your body. Could be a good idea to implement with your shooters!

You should reload it with the use of canisters and use the formula to shoot webs in a cartridge space which lunks up to get what you want faster but could cost more
Excellent result! True, for now we are making holes in materials, in wood or maybe plastic beams. Of course, this method is not suitable for metal structures, as well as for brick and concrete walls. But the holding power is impressive! However, the true mechanism for shooting a rope or web still needs to be sought in the area of gluing to any materials. Bro, man is gonna start saving lives!!
If you combine the catapult thing you made with the a strong string like material, you can create a web like mechanism that opens and releases glue instantly as its fire enough to stick, if you build something like how bullets are for it where it's a webbed look and allows for accuracy of the webst to hit, and instead of it being 1 string that attaches and detaches, the webs should have a mechanism that cuts the string, the super good that you made will ooze down each string that fired, a automatic loading system that loads the embed mechanism load onto the string as a motor pulls the string into it so when the string is cut, a new one is loaded onto the next line of string continuously like firing a gun, it should fire as hard as a paint ball gun a and there should be a air mechanism that heat blow dries the glue allowing for extremely fast.
I think the closest thing you can do with this is the ODM gear from Attack on Titan. You can even get some inspiration there since they explain it technically.
Ooooh yeah it is pretty similar
True, but ODM gear runs off of a fictional, pressurized solid/gas material found on their island. So youd have to come up with a highy compressible gas/liquid that you can store and deploy. Thst won't run out quickly like co2 or oxygen.
the gear allows for pretty hefty fuel tanks, i don't think that would be a problem. I like the ODM idea since you can get away with overt mechanical attributes and explicitly allows harnesses to be built into the design. Actually, the way it's all set up already looks like the anti-personnel/final season 3dmg designs
@@deo1965 and even if they did make that they couldnt use it if its that powerful like in AOT because it would simply tear their bodies apart from all the G's they would pull
