The wee francis looked the most shrimpy to me

Good to get to see the flies how the fish see them. What knot were you using ? You could maybe do a wee video showing the difference in the way the fly swims with a clinch knot compared to the moy loop knot you shared with us in a previous video recently ?
Handy wee video, Keep them coming !! Tight lines 🐟

Thanks very much Mictor. I think all were tied using the Moy loop but the next video will have flies tied with a tucked half blood and Moy loop. Wasn't intentional but..its hard to tie the Moy loop on wee size 18 trebles 😂

Good video Sean. What surprised me was how much the tippet showed up. Where they mono or flourocarbon. Some looked like tow rope at a certain angle

Thanks Stephen. Would you believe me if I told you it was 0.25mm mono, similar to 8lb maxima? It also has a green tinge to it. I think the leader shows up so strong because it was a sunny day and it was reflecting off it. It was more obvious when the camera was below....which is the way most fish will see it 🤷‍♂️

Not surprised it's mono. I have used flourocarbon for 15 yrs and would never go back to mono but some still swear by mono and would never use fluro.

I use X line. Its made for carp fishing and is very good and reasonably priced.10lb breaking strain is 0.21

@@stephenthompson4444 I have to say I'm in the mono camp, had flouro snap quite a few times on me 😔

@@SeánWoodsFishing yes I get the occasional break when trout fishing with it but I'm convinced a lot of breakages are actually bad knots but anglers are too embarrassed to admit this

Just thinking - could you do them with different knots - turrle, rapala loop, steering knot, blood knot?? That would be cool for same fly comparison

You are the second person to recommend this so will look into it 👌

Arctic runner moved the best IMHO. Genuine question tho- what does it look like swinging rather than being held or pulled straight?

It's a class tail material! There is a wee CZcams short video I made if you look through the channel showing a park shrimp in flowing water from above. Not at the computer at the moment but if you struggle to find it let me know please 👍
