    Awesome seam agate. I'm jealous, makes me wish I was 30 years younger, still able to drive and had a rockhounding friend who wanted to explore Nova Scotia and find rocks/agates, etc. That's why I'm glad I found your channel and videos.

    I think I’ve figured out why I keep finding rocks in the washer and dryer! I saw a few instances of the boys putting rocks in their pockets! I have a feeling me ‘tumbling’ them in the washer doesn’t offer the same effect as in your tumbler!

    I keep designing a cart in my head...like a dolly but with bigger wheels and a peg for an upright stance. My mom had a laundry basket like this. Of course it would have to wait on the bluff, but after hauling the rocks to it, it would be great to tow on a path. It could be a box on the bottom with a cage extension on the higher part. My eyes are always bigger than my head😆😆

Awesome rock boulders along the Bay shore which I'm guessing is buried by the tide. Well dad, if each boy had backpack they could carry a few pounds of rocks and then you could have carried the monster!

    • @RockhoundingLife
      @RockhoundingLife  Před 3 lety +1

      Definitely. In hind sight I could have given them each a pack. I knew it was rough terrain and it's actually a bit dangerous to navigate that beach with a heavy pack which is why I didn't make them carry anything. They had packs on the next adventure though. 😉

    How easy is Lobster hole to find? I have been to Cape Split. I am new to rock hounding but wow!

    • @RockhoundingLife
      @RockhoundingLife  Před 3 lety

      I'm not going to lie.....it's a tough spot to get to. There is a newer trail that takes you to it now but that trail is closed most of the year and the lobster hole isn;t marked on the trail. Its best to go with someone who has been there before for your first time. You also need to time the tides right. There is a small 4 hour window where you can access the beach safely during the tide cycle. So planning is key.

      The Moss agates in this video aren't technically Moss agates. They are plume agates. I called them Moss because that's what the locals have called it for years around here. Sorry if I confused you.
