Western culture has diminished the importance of a holistic or balanced lifestyle to the point where individuals don't even know there hurting themselves ... its beyond "keeping up with the neighbor" I just don't see how people can ever really retire and be happy with the 2 million dollar homes .. the property taxes in California are almost unbearable ... When I retire flexibility is essential ... I want to be able to explore and not be "the mouse in the house" Hopefully I can split time between Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, and Brazil ... Great synopsis ... I'm waiting for this chaotic California rainstorms to go away!

What up golden gate.. great point you bring up.. most people here want to keep up with the jones and have that big house, gas guzzler truck , benz and are running to the payday loans. Its more of a status qoa. that 1.8-million-dollar home I'm talking about, think about how much that is a month. I didn't mention the Bentley in the garage that's covered up with an inch of dust because they hardly drive it. I know I'm going to make them mad but it's the truth. I guess people can do what they want in the end, just makes no sense to me. @tomtin0222... Hello Tom. The cost from Vegas to the Philippines as we speak is $905 round trip. You would get from LV to LAX. From LAX to Manila or Cebu. There may be a direct flight of 1 stop in Taiwan, Tokyo or Guam. You can also fly out of San Francisco. I did it once there, however, beware of high parking at SFO (San Francisco Air Port) As far as who I go through, I go direct most of the time. deal with the airline. 3rd party seems to sometime run into problems. I have used ASAP tickets 5 of the 8 trips however, my last go with them was a nightmare so i guess 1 out of 8 isn't bad but I won't do business with them again. They WILL save you a couple hundred dollars on the ticket. Let me know how it goes for you.

They turned out to be legit and I booked several times. I liked the savings they offered over many other airlines out there and they will price match for the lowest deal.
