Thanks for the tutorial. I’m not really sure why you would use glue for the stake though. If you have ever had bead release fail, you know that the glass will weld itself to the steel stronger than any adhesive!

Lol! Yes you're definitely right about that 😂 I mostly do it to save space in my very small kiln and to not have any marks/discoloration on the steel

Why not use a piece of 8mm rod as the steak instead of gluing something on afterward? I have always appretiated using nothing but glass to make my steaks. Not too fragile, as you might expect. I do admit that the thin metal rod makes the bee appear airborne, but clear glass might assist that illusion even more, don't you think? Nice video!

Honestly for me it's mostly a limitation of workable space in my kiln, which is rather small- Also I ship most of my items all over the country so I would be a bit more worried about a glass rod during shipping- I definitely see the appeal though and think both methods have their pros and cons!
