Chinatown is located in the central region of Singapore, it is a place filled with rich and multi ethnic culture. You are able to find lots of temples and street food in that area. Best time to head over to Chinatown is around noon as most of the shops open from noon till night.

Sorry for the late reply, bag packs should be allow in the temple. However luggage might not be able to enter as the temple will be pack with visitors
