You either take things seriously or ignore it. In my school if you’re seen with a phone on lessons, a free call with your parents, a freshly printed warning letter, instant black mark and safekept for 2 months. You want it back? Oh, tell your parents to write a letter for that. You got a new one? Oh, we’ll take that too even if you’re not using it. Again? Double it. Yes. They have the right to confiscate our phones. How can you pay attention or makes notes of important points when all your focus is on phones? Play when it's time to play, study when it's time to study. I'm our school, When the class teacher enters the room, she takes all phones and she can even remember which were the old ones and if you've bought a new one. I think it's good.
Why does this remind me of the old times when we'd casually have our classes, and a teacher barges in randomly and yells "SURPRISE BAG INPSECTION" and then they rummage through all our belongings just to find phones.
Teachers should have the right to confiscate phones because they distract from your education in class. I know most people think that school is useless and not important but with that education, you can do great things in life, but only if you try your best in studies. Then and only then will more options for your future become available to you.

Yes, teacher have every right to confiscate student’s phones because education is important. There have been many studies during last few years that the IQ of children has been lowering due to them being too much on phones. Children are disinterested in learning in lower grades and struggle to memorize 3 pages of text. Yeah, school might be boring and you might think “who will need this in the future” but these memorization of random topics serves as help for a child to decide their future career as well as develop good memorization. I'm a class manager and in my school we put our phones inside a class locker (we don't have individual lockers) and a class manager will hold the key. There is a rule in my school that stated " students are not permitted to have/play with their devices when it's learning time, unless the teacher allows it" . My classmates took break time as the time that they're allowed to play with their phones and ask the one that hold the key to give their phone back (the excuse are they want to inform their mother something or that they want to get their money from their phone case) , the first few times are okay, but we (the class managers) started getting complains that our classmates aren't letting go of their phones even when break time is over, so the principal just granted me permission to take their phone (either by them giving it to me or force) and put them (the phones) inside a cabinet in her office. So in my case of terrible classmates that takes advantages of every situation, yes it's okay, my class is also the trouble class among like 5 different classes. Thank you.
The teachers do have the right to when you join any school there is something your parents have to sign which states that teachers can take students phones but not damage them in any way and they must be given back at the end of the school day
I think in a sense yeah, it's ok for teachers to confiscate our phones when it's in use for an invalid reason. Let it be a lesson for students to follow simple rules. This was actually handled properly in my school and, in most cases, students get their phones when classes are over. And it's disrespectful to the teacher if you're just on your phone for the whole period So as long as they don't snoop in it and keep it in good condition in their hands as, by the end of the day, it's still not their property. And that said teachers should not have any bias whether that student is a troublemaker or a top student, the rule should still apply. And that the teacher ask for the student's reason before taking it. In cases of emergencies, it's completely unreasonable for the teacher to punish a student for that.

Hello can you answer this question?
The teachers do have the right to when you join any school there is something your parents have to sign which states that teachers can take students phones but not damage them in any way and they must be given back at the end of the school day
method 0: don't use your phone you can survive an hour without it
When school confiscate our phones, I feel that is stealing our property
If you don't want it taken away, don't have it out in the first place.
I think in a sense yeah, it's ok for teachers to confiscate our phones when it's in use for an invalid reason. Let it be a lesson for students to follow simple rules. This was actually handled properly in my school and, in most cases, students get their phones when classes are over. And it's disrespectful to the teacher if you're just on your phone for the whole period
So as long as they don't snoop in it and keep it in good condition in their hands as, by the end of the day, it's still not their property. And that said teachers should not have any bias whether that student is a troublemaker or a top student, the rule should still apply. And that the teacher ask for the student's reason before taking it. In cases of emergencies, it's completely unreasonable for the teacher to punish a student for that.
My teacher confiscate phones when we didn't clean the classroom
