Between Ryan, and Max Velocity, and Weather on the Go, I can't stand watching anyone else
Oooo tell me which ones make one fall asleep
"If you don't like it, then go to school and help us get better at this" go Ryan!
I like that Ryan gives great reporting and never ever talks smack about any other weather reporter, weather analyst, or news reporter covering the weather. He's not competing and he doesn't have to cut anybody down. A great example of how to live your life well without needing other people to fail.
Do ya? Cool
@@andywood8160 I ...was addressing behaving like a decent person in public. I can't believe that offends you. I am sure you are better than that, and if you are tired and overworked, I hope things get better.
@@andywood8160yet I bet you're entertained by the hype lol
He talks entirely too long about simple 💩. Disagree entirely
yes we watch from Florida ❤❤
I just moved to New Hampshire from Florida this summer. I was a Florida native for 30 years, living through legendary storms like Andrew and Charley. I swear to god, if New Hampshire sees it's first hurricane in 31 years I'm going to lose it!
Wow, that's quite a change. I moved to Boston from Florida in the '90s and lasted about two winters before I had to get the f out of there.
@@Mmmmkaaay I'm ready for some cooler weather. I did a test run last january to be sure I'd be fine with the temps which I was. Granted it was only in the low 30's at the time. I'm sure I'll be hating life when it gets in the teens and below. More than anything though is the pace of life and the people up here. Florida has become a mad house and I couldn't feel happy or healthy there anymore.
Glad to know I’m not the only one with jinxed decisions, lol. Take care my friend
awe, the irony. Let's hope not.
As a coastal SC native, this thing is scary. They’re saying it’ll curve up, but they’re wrong all the time.
Edit: yeah I think I’m in the clear on this one, just gotta watch the formation that’s coming together behind Lee.
I wouldn't even wait to find out
Very IRONIC , a Hurricane named LEE heading for the Southern states ???? IMHO! 🤔🤔🤔😉🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀
Coastal SC here as well. We are watching Lee very closely.
I'm at the Jersey shore, having flashbacks of sandy.
@@yycforlife5048 well luckily I’m away at college over in Columbia. But my family lives in the Myrtle beach area. They’re keeping a close eye on it though and they’re smart enough to know when to leave.
You've got solid reporting, Ryan. I don't even watch my local weather reports anymore. I get just about everything I need right on your channel. You're Americas meteorologist.
Exactly he's the only weatherman I follow :D
He is fantastic but weather is SO chaotic that a general overview of the entire country won't cut it every time. Probably won't even cut it most of the time.
Same. Ryan Hall tells me what I need to know... you're doing amazing work :)
As a Floridian, I thank you for what you do. It's because of your regular and reliable updates, that I'm able to prepare long before the "news" even mentions things.

Everyone forgets about hurricane Andrew in 1992. It devasted southern Florida. It changed in path and intensity over night!
I was just a kid but I definitely remember that.
I remember Andrew. I was living in South Carolina at the time.
How much did Andrew’s path change from the original forecast? Was it a significant shift or more of a subtle one?
I have not forgotten!! I am a Florida native and it was scary
Computer modeling and prediction wasn't anything back then in comparison to what it is now. People still thought hurricanes had a mind of their own in 1992.😂
Lee is nuts man. Never seen anything go from cat 1 to cat 5 in one day. 😮
The water temp. in the Atlantic Ocean is 80 plus degrees, much warmer temps. this year...( I'm on the GA east coast)...that's the problem with it increasing to a higher category, or should say categories. 🕊️
Wilma 2005
@@unitgamex2972I remember that hurricane. That wasn’t fun. Was without power for a couple weeks and it was a hot summer that year.
@unitgamex2972 I was only 7 years old then, still liked weather but didn't understand it
Went through Hugo 140 mph. Winds screaming, people screaming as their roofs were being ripped off...that was 34 years ago, you can't forget the screams. We didn't think it was ever going to stop. This one might be at 180 mph? Don't know about you but I was on my knees praying for mercy this afternoon, thinking about children and old folks all alone. Called my mother in law lives right near NH beach to ask her to come inland I pray she does.
As a Hancock County resident in Maine (Bar Harbor area), definitely the most “invested” I’ve been in a storm in a while. I appreciate you Ryan for the work that you do.
My son is working there and has never experienced a hurricane. I’m a native of coastal NC but he grew up in NW Georgia. I am also worried of the path of this storm.
we are over in penobscot county Maine. Ryan is the best weather man.
I am down in York county and the track of this is very concerning.
Also in Maine( mid coast area) keeping an eye on this most definitely
I’m also in the Bar Harbor area. I’ve never been interested in hurricanes before but suddenly it’s all too real.
Ryan I’ve loved watching the weather my whole life. When I was 5 years old I would get up at 6 in the morning just to watch Local on the 8s on the weather channel. As I’ve gotten older though, I’ve noticed just the general decline of accurate forecasts from major weather hubs, such as weather channel and even accuweather; hell, even my local weather forecasters. All of these are no where NEAR as accurate and as timely as you are, and I live in the dead middle of the US! It’s so refreshing to see someone so passionate about the weather and so passionate about making these forecasts easy to understand, accurate, and always right on time. Thanks for all you do Ryan, and the Y’all Squad! Don’t be scared, be prepared 🫡
We have one local forecaster that's pretty accurate here in the Texas Rio Grande Valley.
My Mother always told me you watch a hurricane until it makes landfall. I went through Camille and now I’m telling my age At the time that it made landfall it clocked at 200 mph and then the device broke and nobody knows how fast it was. But I will tell you all the adults were crying praying and the ceiling was moving up and down. If it was not for 13 pine trees on top of the roof it would have blew off. This is a dangerous storm and so strong nothing may not be able to guide it. It can do what it wants. The forecasters do not know where it will hit but God knows.
I live near NC SC Southeast border. We don’t say it’s fine until we see it’s fine. Those winds will put a reminder in your brain you wouldn’t ever forget- and many decide never again after going through a major hurricane. Always 👀 until we’re sure.
"You know how bad we do with regular forecasting."
- Ryan Hall, the meteorologist that hasn't been wrong about the weather in forever 😂
Oh yes he has.
@jackb7685 how?
@@jackb7685 don't think you actually watch these. He said, in this very video you're commenting on, that worst case scenario is that it hits Maine. Nice try, dude.
@@jackb7685 I think you've just got a listening problem, bud. And save the $5 psychology workbook words. You don't even know what that means and he doesn't even read the comments. Swing and a miss 😂

I still remember local radio and television station’s weather forecasters completely downplaying the possibility of hurricane Hugo hitting the U.S.especially us in the NC mountains and watching it coming right at us. Thanks for keeping on top of this for us.
To be fair, predictions have gotten a lot better than what it was in 1989 but true it is still too soon to tell. Amazing it's been 34 years since Hugo.
Now they do the exact opposite and act as though the world is about to end anytime there is a stiff breeze.
@@kc679634 years, and you can still see signs of damage from it all the way up into NC. That sucker literally carved its way straight thru SC
All still just guessing based on algorithms, which some say is worse.
That is scary. I'm in charlotte and thought maybe I'd go spend that day up in the mountains..
Thanks for the update..Nova Scotia here..we were hit by Fiona last September. No electricity for 7 days. Stay away Lee!! 🙏🙏
Living in hurricane alley in NC my entire life. This is scary but like it's been said it could change its path/ weaken. Hope everyone in is path stays safe.
South Floridian here. I'm also an emergency responder. I saw your name in the comments on another weather forecaster's video that does nothing but fear mongering & hype, so I searched for you. I like your factual, calm delivery; you just earned my respect and a new subbie. Keep up the good work.
You really are the BEST.
Don't ever feel bad about "being wrong." When you accurately WARN and ADVISE, then others get busy PRAYING!
THANK YOU! You're saving lives!
HEY Ryan....I have a class A Cdl 17 years experience.. Did you ever think about purchasing a couple commercial trucks to transport supplies to major disasters? I'd love to support the Yall Squad this way. ❤
that’s a cool idea.
Nifty idea, but the expense is something to be considered. As an alternative option, some 1 ton trucks with goose-neck trailers could be beneficial and wouldn't require CDLs.
Experience with a combination vehicle as well. Maybe box trucks or Something. A tractor trailer would be a great advertisement too. Rolling down the road with the trailer all painted up. 🎨
Wonderful though but the cost, upkeep and insurance is astronomical for owner operators. 💕💖💕
@@dianes5762I don’t know why. They won’t pay out ANYTHING and takes almost an act of God to get them to !!!! But yet the premiums are outrageous. For what ?!?! Then to do nothing. Such a scam and I wish the law could change so they couldn’t screw people over that have lost EVERYTHING in a disaster.
As someone from Connecticut, if this thing hits us it's gonna be a wild ride. We were out of power for two weeks from a post-tropical depression, and a week and a half from a tropical storm, and I can guarantee they haven't fixed the issues that led to that situation. Time to get diesel for the generator and non-perishable food I guess (though I was hoping I wouldn't have to until January). Definitely appreciate the heads-up!
I feel you! Ike (Houston area) wasn’t a bad storm on the level of Harvey or Allison for flooding, it was mostly a wind event and some pretty bad storm surge along the coast. Not a lot of rain or flooding inland. But our power was out for nearly 3 weeks. Fast forward to the Valentine’s Day freeze we had in 2021 which showed nothing was fixed. And if anything else happens…same story. It’s maddening.
I'm terrified! We are neighbors I'm in MA.
This is the first time I have seen this channel, and I just wanted to say it's so cool that we can get meaningful weather modeling from somewhere other than the regular sources. Awesome!
This one’s path is scary af to any longtime coastal SC resident. Very reminiscent of Hugo. If I recall correctly, most expected Hugo to turn north too. It did for a while, then steered straight into Charleston. Very worried that could happen again. Will be watching very closely
I was in Charleston shortly after that storm and the pine trees were snapped in half like toothpicks.
I really appreciate these videos.
Most storm watchers play the fear monger games. You just give it to us straight. You break down and explain what is going on and why you think it will track a certain way then remind us that it's possible to change.
You do an awesome job
Yeah, if meteorologists in general keep playing the fear-monger games for clicks, eventually people are going to stop believing them and just not listen even when they are being told to evacuate.
I'm praying this monster stays waaaaay away from all of us!!!! Thankyou Ryan❤
As a Floridian, this storm is the canary in the coal mine for me. just watching how fast this thing intensified really scares me for when we end up with one of those hundred year storms within the next year and a half and then we have those super unusually warm coastal waters lately that just makes hurricanes go nuclear. and I fear that it’s not a matter of if at this point, but when we get steamrolled by a storm like we’ve never seen before. I’ve already started preparations for the unthinkable. Better to have what you might need, and not need it then to need it and not have it. 2023 in 2024. Going to be a hell of a ride. Good luck, my fellow human beings.
@Dara-ih6jq Those 'hundred year storms" are far more frequent now. Where I live it's worst in recorded history forest fires. The rare 10-15 year fires (that didn't last long) have been every year for most of summer, for the past 9 years. This year the fires started in May and it has been smokey AF since May, and it's still smokey. This is what happens when the average global temp gets hotter.
Watch the history on Andrew. That thing popped out of nowhere. It was like a huge tornado. So scary to go through. As much as I love FL because that is where myself and my family is from, I couldn't live there again after that experience.
These super hurricanes, especially when they build up so fast, are all amplified by satellite-based weather weapons. Directed microwave energy bends the ionospheric energy towards the eye and that stokes up the storm.
As an electrician, I think this channel is hype.
It won't hit us
Living on the coast of NC this is very scary...
Even if hurricane Lee loses wind speed in the center, it will be a devastating storm if it hits land.
It would only be like a cat 1 so probably not
@@unitgamex2972Katrina hit land and was a four. It only loses power once it's over the land mass.
The concern I have now is how bad are hurricanes really going to get as sea surface temps and global temps increase?
Lol
Ryan - when I left work today, there were thunder and lighting, but no rain. When I turned to look behind me, there were huge gray, dark clouds in the sky. I'm in New York City. Like a pour down was going to happen. Thank God, I reached my home with maybe a light rain.
I live in Nova Scotia and I have to say thank you for your hard work. You are the main weather forecaster I listen to! From snow to rain you've been right on so many weather events that I trust your predictions over our local weather forecast
As a truck driver that travels primarily east of the Mississippi, Ryan is my 1st go to weather forecaster. My other is the Old Farmers Almanac. One is for specific the other general. He's usually spot on compared to local weather reporters.
I love NS! Beautiful up there! Stay safe; i'm in SC. Thanks Ryan!!!!!!!!
Nova Scotia had devastating hurricane last year! Now bracing for another one, what are the odds...
Looks like Nova Scotia may be where Hurricane Lee makes landfall, but it will lose a lot of steam as the Atlantic is much cooler by Nova Scotia.
Ah! We vacationed once in Nova Scotia, so many happy memories 💕
I never liked news networks but man the way you deliver this information just encapsulated me. Great job on keeping up with it.

Oh we've been talking about it for days lol. Most of the time they pass us by, but this one doesn't feel like that at all....
I am in Nova Scotia and keeping and eye on it. We are pretty prepared but of course there are always last minute things that need to be done just in case. Fingers crossed it stays off our little province.
It won’t even be strong at that point
It's pretty much the only thing people are talking about at the water cooler at my work in Halifax.
Oh we are talking about it now. Trust me.
Same thing with Ian last year turned at the last second..had 70 mile an hour winds for a solid 12 hours inland. Idalia was a small storm that zipped through in a couple of hours. You really never can be sure what a storm will do.
As a person who is learning weather and Natural disasters your videos are amazing and this one made me learn even more
Im in Puerto Rico and have been following Mr. Weatherman on this for the past week. So relieved it will be north of us, but hoping it doesn't make landfall anywhere and just stays over water. Such a scary situation
Have you recovered from last hurricane that hit there??? Be safe.
Electricity Structure is still horrendously bad, so-much so that the winds and rain from this hurricane likely will knock the light out of a lot of places, unfortunately.@@debbyvibbert3177
@@debbyvibbert3177 I wasn’t here for Maria, but there are still places around with damage from it. Thank you for the updated forecast. Glad to see that you included Atlantic Canada in your up date. We’ve been hit quite hard the last several years by these storms. The water temperature is changing in our area and seems to be pulling these storms into Nova Scotia and Newfoundland more frequently. Watching with great interest and by Monday will start to batten Down the hatches her in Nova Scotia. I have several properties to get ready hopefully it will down grade to a cat 1/2 before it makes landfall here. Fiona was a post tropical cyclone which caused major damage to Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland. Dorian also went through our neck of the woods a few years earlier causing major damage and costal erosion. Fingers crossed while I wait for your next up date.
Lee is drawing a lot of parallels to Isabel, from forming 20 years later to the day to following a near-identical track. Surprised more people aren't talking about the similarities.
As someone who just moved to coastal Connecticut, I definitely appreciate the updates

As of 11am NHS report, Lee dropped to a Cat 4. However, there’s an eye wall replacement going on, which always lessens the wind speeds for a time.

As a resident of Aroostook County ME, I've been watching your vids on this particular storm. While we probably won't get any flooding, we are VERY AWARE of winds, as we get sustained wind about 90% of the time, even in the heat of summer. One storm about 5 years ago rolled up the metal roof of our 18,000 sqft barn like a sardine can, and that was just a regular storm. Winds in the winter can routinely get up to 45-50 mph. Therefore, while we are used to wind, I've shown this to my hubby, and we are going to do all we can to further batten down the hatches on our farm well ahead of time and get more fuel for our generator. We really appreciate your channel immensely because of your thorough, in-depth analysis while also stressing the inherent unpredictability of nature itself.
We are feeling the same way down here in York County… time to prepare my fellow Mainer’s, New England, and Canada.
So this is similar to other storms other years and not just due to climate change!
I lived on Old washburn rd in Caribou and watch a tornado rip the roof and parts of a huge barn apart in 1995. That was from what we thought was just a normal storm
FISH storm....big deal....

Living in Wilmington NC, I am down on my knees thankful there is enough of a chance that Lee doesn't hit us directly that I feel like I can breathe. I don't think I can live here much longer if even another storm season. This close of a call is even making me sick, I get actually sick now from the storm PTSD from going through 38 years of storms.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for presenting the facts clearly and calmly. Those who are doing ACTUAL fear mongering are doing the most with this storm, scaring people for no reason except shares and likes (or they are Russians). You and your crew have kept me calm the past few days and I can't express how important that is to me.
You can hear the awe, curiosity, and slight fear in Ryan's voice in this episode

I remember hurricane Floyd from 10+ yrs ago. He was a massive cat 5 that took a hard right turn right before it slammed into us. (Less than 100 miles I think) A few friends and I watched the ocean rip apart the Daytona Beach pier.
Thx for sharing
Hurricane Floyd was 1999, crazy how time flies. I was in 6th grade when that hit.
Yes, Floyd was bad for east NC after Dennis, we were flooded for weeks
Hey Ryan, Thanks for looking out for us up here in Atlantic Canada. I live in Eastern Prince Edwars Island and have went through Hurricane Juan, Hurricane Dorian, and Hurricane Fiona. These were crazy storms for the region and Fiona was by far the worst. It flattened all our wooded areas, ruined a lot of homes and even submerged some towns right on the coast. Appreciate the heads up as us in the Maritimes will say, we might be looking at another "Fiona"

I live in the Down East Region of Maine. At the very least, we're going to get tons of rain, coastal flooding, and power outages
I’m in New Orleans and in 1969 Hurricane Camille hit the Mississippi Gulf Coast at Bay St. Louis, Mississippi when I was 13 with 175mph winds. I lived in New Orleans East and we had over 100mph winds at my house, 52 miles away! There were big plantation houses on the beach and when we could get back in to Bay St Louis, because my moms cousin lived there, there was nothing left. Not even slabs where houses had been. Highway 90 was gone. Totally ripped up and gone. No trees, no houses, no road. Everything was gone.
I live in the Albany/Saratoga area of NY. Last night we had some lovely storms. We lost power at my house for about an hour last night. Internet/cable went out and was just restored at 11:30 AM! We had some trees on a main road near our house that took down powerlines!
Please pray that this monster storm stays out at sea and doesn’t make landfall in the US. Ryan thank you for always keeping us up to date on all things weather related. You’re the best and only weatherman I follow.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Yes, please let it hit Canada. As long as the US is safe, it doesn't matter! :)
@@davek303strange reply
@@davek303nah i need this shit to hit so assignments can get pushed back
@@davek303 Don't worry, Canadian hurricanes are usually more friendly and docile :)
Thanks Ryan for all you and your team do. ❤❤❤❤
As a little girl in Louisiana I went to the aftermath of Camille in Mississippi in 1969, (about three weeks before turning 9) with my family because my grandmother was there. Although I can’t remember why she was. I believe it was to help. But I do remember seeing cows up in trees 2 - 3 stories high and on top of 2 story houses. Pine needles stuck in tree trunks as if torpedoed into the tree. Ship pushed far up on the beach etc. It will be forever embedded into my memory.
Ryan and team churning updates out for us. Thank you so much guys. My goodness this is a monster storm.
I'm in Sarasota County and just started following your channel during hurricane Idalia. I was very impressed with the storm coverage so I subscribed. You and your team do an excellent job! Thanks! 😍
Here in Rhode Island, staying tuned in for this storm.
TY Ryan and team
We just got done dealing with the flooding from Idalia and we didn’t even take a direct hit. We live on Tampa Bay. Those outer bands bring in a lot of water so be safe everyone on the East Coast. That storm is huge and could affect a lot more than New Hampshire and Maine. I hope people are taking precautions.
I would of never though Maine would get hit by a hurricane, granted it might change corse in the next few hours but the likely hood is interesting. Ushally its micro bursts or winter storms we are worried about or keep an eye one. Hopfully nothing bad happens when it decides to hit land where ever it decides to go. Honestly glad we live in the Northern part way up in Maine.
Thanks Ryan Hall, Ya'll for everything that you do, either its watching the weather, keeping people safe and prepared, as well as raising money for those impacted by these crazy storms means a lot. I honestly belive You do more then the standered weather channel when it comes to supporting the community than anyone I've seen.
Let’s hope it steers clear of land. It’s a beast!
Thank you, Ryan
As someone who lives in CT this is so helpful in making sure my family is prepared for the worse case scenario. Thank you Ryan
praying it stays the hell away from us up here haha
Same
Thanks, Ryan, for helping us get prepared for ANYTHING.
Our daughter & daughter-in-law live up in Marlborough, Massachusetts … she moved up there to get away from the Gulf Coast, oppressive heat, & hurricanes. I sure hope big, bad Lee makes a hard right turn soon & continues to give the fishies a wild ride, but stays away from any land! Let’s make the rest of the 2023 hurricane season nothing but fish storms! 🐳🐬🐟🐠🐡🐋🦈⛈🌬💨🌊🌈⛅️🌤☀️🏄🏻♀️⛵️🚤🏝🏖 Thank you Ryan & the entire hard working Y’all Squad for keeping US informed & safe in the face of the storms❣️🤠🌈
Love the videos Ryan. Thank you.
Bro I Love the way you do this. Very Informative
Great breakdown. Nothing overly dramatic, just good, clear information. Thanks.
