My trucks got dual 110 gal tanks but I count each 1/4 into 50 gallons on board. Example if I have a trip going 700 miles I need approx. 100 gallons. If I’m at 1/4th full already I need about 50 gallons more just to complete the trip. I don’t want to run dry by the end of the trip so I’m putting 75 gallons in when I fuel.
I would rather have the fuel in the truck rather than having to always find a fuel station. Even if you are penny pinching. You’re going to always need fuel
How can 1/4 mean you have 150 miles left ?? Different sized tanks on different trucks and running at different weights will effect that too ?
