Pharoah Lake Wilderness Walkabout

Your humble host goes on a 4 day backpacking trip (walkabout) in the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness in the Adirondack Mountains in New York. Along the way, he camps on a mountain summit and besides forested ponds, on occasion digressing to talk about freshwater mussels, the emerald ash borer and dreams that provide insights into reality. Not surprisingly, he re-discovers (for the umpteenth time) that a 4 day wilderness immersion can be a much deeper contemplative grounding experience than day-hikes.
