  • just got my Miomat plant-based milk maker and want to unbox it with you! It has a self cleaning function to make it easy after you make all the plant milk you can in it.
I love that you can make soy milk, raw milks, ceral milk, and soups and smoothies too. Right now it's my favorite large milk maker!

Love your water pitcher. Looks handmade. I also called a refrigerator repair person when I was looking for a new refrigerator to see which ones get repaired all the time and this person also said that don’t buy French door refrigerator always repairing them. Went with a non French door even though loved the idea.

I have the SoyaJoy G5 and I love it! I make soymilk and smooth soups often. It makes 1.6 Liters, which is much more than my old Tayama. I always double strain my soymilk by using a fine stainless-steel sieve and then a nut milk bag.

Thank you for the review, Kathy. If you want to make milk that is similar to oatly you can use this recipe that we just developed. 1 MioMat cup of rolled oats (rolled are the best but you can use others if you have them at hand), 1 teaspoon of cold-pressed coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, and a very important step - Smoothie program with grinding cylinder attached. This milk tastes and feels very similar to the store bought version and you do not need to add any enzymes :)

I have a Soyajoy G4 which I like for the most part. I do love making soups in there. Super easy, toss it in, turn it on & creamy yumminess & easy to clean. For nut milks it works well also, easy to clean. What I don't like about it is straining out the pulp & I don't like the taste of the soy as well - & the kind I purchase is only soybeans & water. They provide a strainer but it does not strain as much as I would like. I do have some paint bags [as chef aj suggests] to try next time I make any. But again, for creamy soups - yummy! Potatoes, broccoli, tomato! Yum.

Have you tried the natramilk machine? Chest AJ has featured it many times and there's a promotion right now to save I think 50 or $100. The inventor claims that there is no pulp left when making nut milks and she explains how to make the oat milk without it being slimy. So you might want to include one of those in your testing. See if it's true that there is no pulp left over which means you don't have to compost or dehydrate and you're getting the full nutritive value in your milk. And then you can test it to see if oat milk is more pleasant out of that machine. It's also a food processor and a few other functions. Chef AJ can't get enough of it

I’m looking at nut milk machines on Amazon and looking at the reviews and many of them have mixed views. Many reviewers lament that they don’t last more than 6 months. Some do a good job making soy milk and some advise to only use machine to make nut milks.
This machine got good reviews but I am seeing some reviews cons as well. And pricing all over the place. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hello Sheryl, MioMat has the highest standards in term of quality so we are confident on giving 2 year warranty with every MioMat. We did have some issues with misuse of our machine - some people experienced spillout when making milk. This happens when you overfill the MioMat or do not use the grinding cylinder. Hope this helps :)
