- Welcome to the Groove Builders CZcams Channel! In this build we take on the very popular Parrot from the Metal Earth Premium line. This is our second bird we've built together and if its anything like the peacock we have a lot of feathers a head of us. This is my first build and your video got me through it and although I couldn’t get the middle back with pieces attached on the wings, you can’t even tell and it’s really beautiful. Thank you very much.
I'm building this one right now, and when putting all the feathers together, I was folding the top tabs so the color stayed up, and I think the bottom tabs so the gold side was down. When I did this, the wing seemed to be getting more and more curved, far more than what it should have. Skipping ahead and grabbing the full wing layer to check, I found it way way off. I then ended up flipping all the top tabs to match the official built 3d model (gold side visible) and that sucked the feathers back together and made it closer, but not perfect. I then came and found this video, and noticed you briefly mentioned a bit of difficulty, but you didn't have nearly the problem I did. What got it to start fitting for me was the bend the wings into the final arched profile as I was attaching the 2nd layer.
I needed this video to get me through those unmarked wings! Thank you so much!
This and the Peacock should be interesting challenges
