This is a valuable addition to my woodwork collection czcams.com/users/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO I still will rate this woodwork plan as the best in my reference library. It always seem to stand out from the rest whenever you go through the library. This is a masterpiece.
I just finished building the handrail on my deck czcams.com/users/postUgkxfQ5_mgwq6PcudJvAH25t-I4D-3cTPz4z and used this great little router to clean up the top rail before the final sanding and stain. It was light weight but packed lots of power. Either size battery didn't seem to make it top heavy and I'm a 64 yr old women so I really appreciated how easy it was to use...................... CORDLESS only way to go !!
That's the best Lift-Modification i have seen in month. Thoughtful, easy, cheap and perfect working. Great!
I have just completed my router lift mechanism based on your approach, so thanks for the simple but effective way of raising and lowering the router in the table, it works well enough to be enjoyable
Well done! And so much cheaper than an expensive brand milling table insert module.
Greetings from Germany
Chris
Love the engineered materials. I use it for everything I can in my shop.
Congratulations, it's the best diy router lift in the web
Thanks, I made one following your idea. Used a Bosch 1600 I picked up in the USA many Years ago, now it has a new lease of life.
What else is there to say but, BRILLIANT! What a space saving solution, so clever. Well done, and thanks for sharing this build with us all...
What a great design, especially for the small home shops that don't have a lot of money. Thanks for sharing. The camera work is excellent too!
One of the best router lifts I’ve seen. Also like the use of laminate floor boarding. Brilliant. . . You have a new subscriber.
Many thanks for your sharing of ingenuity, I finally validate an effective method !!!!!!!
Fantastic! No show, no endless talking. Just pictures, who speak for itself! So ist has to be! Go ahead!
Finally, a solid solution. I've seen so many videos with wobbly wood made mountings...
I love the use of laminate flooring for the work surfaces. Guaranteed no wrapping
I appreciate that you shared these insights. My router is a Ryobi RE600. Over 30 years old and was made in Japan. It already has a screw for adjusting depth. But taking out a spring might make it run smoother.
You provided some food for thought.
Nice video, showing enough detail to be instructional, well don and thank you for posting.
It is well worthy of the, almost, quarter of a million views in just over a week.
Keep up the great videos.
What a fantastic solution for the mounting of the router. And what a good idea to remove one spring. Thank you very much
Best idea for a router lift I've seen so far
Plus I do like your table saw technique, very safe, very sensible
Thanks for sharing
This is really great work. Thanks so much for putting it for novices like me to see.
Brilliant! Thanks for sharing!
I love the DIY look of your well crafted tools!
Been thinking of mounting my router, and was looking for a way of adjusting it without having to crawl under the workbench.
The sliding system of the router has convinced me a lot. I have it now with a car hydraulics and it is very bulky.
Simple but effective.
Great video - It shows woodwork and metalwork can live in harmony! Thanks for sharing your work.
Sehr gut und einfach. Ich habe mir erlaubt den Lift nachzubauen. TOP ! Danke

True carpenters made the own tools.👍

Straight and simple! I’m gonna make one on my table saw. Really nice job bro
Bravo l’artiste ! Une solution simple, économique et bien présentée. Merci !!
What a simple design for lifting and lowering the router. Thanks for uploading. Best regards
This has to be one of the simplest router lifts I have seen built a great job.
Simple great. Fantastic idea. Now I know what to do with my router.
Its level of completion is high degree. You made well to use in woodworking and It's higher quality than things in the shop👍👍👍
Sumptuously! Grandiose! The best of what I saw on this subject! Low bow! Thanks a hundred times! Already doing this to myself! Health, success and success, Master!
I always want to do my plunge router like that, thank you
The best designed router insert and lift I've seen on CZcams. Just great. Cheers from Queensland Australia!!
Ingenious and well executed. Great video and easy to follow and understand. Always wondered if there were people like me who like to combine woodworking and metalworking. Impressive skill set. Thanks so much
It is good to balance out ones skills.
This is one of the best diy router lifts I’ve seen! Great video!
Thank you very much for the interesting implementation of the router installation. I try to do the same for myself
*One of the best router lifts I’ve seen.*
You have given me a lot of inspiration with this video. You make it look easier than it is I'm sure.
After watching other complicated and convoluted videos on how to use a plunge router in this manner I was coming up with an idea similar to yours. Now I know I was on the right track and you answered my question on how to get the bolt to the top of the table neatly and the absolute best way to attach it to the router. You have saved me hours of screwing around and hundreds of dollars.
Excellent stuff thanks for your brilliance mate.
Well done ! Congratulations from France
The best router lift I have seen, great idea thanks ☺️ will definitely try to build it.
Just wanted to say thanks this video help out a lot making my inserts, made the jig you did and worked like a dream
czcams.com/video/UQv6FCTefkQ/video.html
I only have one word about this video AWESOME
I enjoyed your video and will use the hex nut bearing and coupler idea on my router lift - what a great idea and simple to use too thanks
This is a masterpiece. Thank you
Show!!!!!
I like the elegant simplicity of this design.👍
.
Agree with some posters: good work, and the laminate is a real good idea.
Jiibbbb
Neat job. Watching your video is like a therapy. Well made video and Idea. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent video and process the music volume was perfect. The whole d--- video was a Joy to watch.
Thank you so much. Bless you...
I've been thinking of upgrading my new table saw with a setup similar to yours. Your a great inspiration with to the point solutions. Be safe out there.
Great work !
You have a clever mind, good eyes and hands.
You are si blessing !
Greatings from Romania, Mister !
I really am a fan of creativity and this was a pleasure to watch! 👀😉Couple of points.. when welding ALWAYS use the correct MASK to protect your eyes or you will SUFFER! (from a condition called 'Arc Eye' ) It leaves the eyes dry and VERY painful.! 😨2. If the metal work puts you off you can often find someone to do it for you! (Thankyou bro😉) 3. Buy a cheap second hand but serviceable router if you don't want to use your 'not my precious'👀🤣 and 4. Whilst you are stripping it down look to replace ie the carbon brushes with new ones if needed though I would replace on a used router anyways?! Make sure the power cables etc is in good nick. 5. Don't forget to use a no voltage switch so that you can switch on and off the router rather than realize 'oh hell the ! switch is !! 😨👀👍 6. I often use a mix of superglue and baking soda to make sure anything I need to stick solidly is just that. 7. I use some of my partners 'sewing machine OIL ' for lube - works really good. 8.Consider buying a FOOT switch as when you put your foot on the switch it powers the router on and when you take your foot off it powers it down? For just a few $s? As said this was certainly an entertaining AND certainly worth seeing VID. 👍😉Stay safe, whoever, wherever you are !!
WOW 😮 you can write books, bro! Thanks for tips! 👍
Denmark it where I am. Greetings, Arthur.
I'm about to build my first router table, and watching so many DYI videos to find simple ways to build this and more to come, and watching all these videos I get to know about new tools and benches/tables I've never seen before and can't wait to start building and use for building!
And the lift thing, ohh, they are either extremely expensive or way to complicated for me skills and tools to make. Until this video! Genious! (y)
I know, I know, we live in a time where everything explained in letters must be said in max 2 lines!
But I'm old--school and prefer one smart guy explaining meaningful and useful things in 30 lines, instead of reading 500-1000 people's max 2-lines comments where 99 % is useless comments, to mix 30 lines that make sense!
I'm not just into reading but also writing "books" :)
Actually, this time 2 lines, or even 1, would have been enough to ask my question:
Can you tell me more about the superglue and baking soda trick? All new to me!
Peace, love and safety first! :)
Great effort and even better results. Congratulations!
Well done. Excellent idea, execution, and great video work.
Great video to get inspired of to build a router table! Love it and thanks again for this great content!🙏
Top!
for faster change of the reduction-rings you could use magnets...
I like that idea. A goid Forstner bit and some Neodynium magndts embedded, and that change is easily accomplished.
@@baltsosser But consider, the reduction-ring could be catched by the router-bit and fly away like a sawblade. A solution could be to add an extra pin in the ring to prevent spinning
simple, practical, and efficient... cleverly done.
Great work, thanks for sharing this. 🙋🏼♂️
So Wonderful !! Thanks~~
Incredible! Great job!
Awesome! Was just about to build a tablemount for my router. Going to copy your solution from start to end. Brilliant!
Only downside is that I will have to buy a new one to use as a handheld.
Wait! Having an excuse to get new tools isn't a downside. Right?!😁
yeah, everytime we mout handhelds means a trip to the power tools store 😀😀😀
Super job, this is the best solution so far. Everything looks solid!
That's the simplest lift I've seen, Great idea.
Nope, this is the simplest routerlift: czcams.com/video/DJ4ING7eAIM/video.html
Christ, that’s amazing.....and dare I say it, way beyond the ordinary DIYer’s skill.
Great design and execution!
This is the best thing I saw this week. Awesome 👏
Amazingly simple solution. If I was going to build myself a router lift I would use your method. However I don't need the lift because I recently bought myself a Triton TRA001 which has a Lift mechanism. I will use your router table insert though. Great work.
Slickest homemade router lift I have seen! Great job.
I’m so impressed and motivated to reproduce what you have done, I’ve been reluctant to purchase the units for hundreds of dollars. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Very very nice router table. I like the use of flooring material!
Dude has mad shop skills, nice work!
Awesome wish ya'd posted this project about 3 months ago before I did mine no where near as good as yours. 👌
If I have a workshop like this, I sleep in it. Well done !!!
One of the best instructional video on CZcams, brilliant concept well done to that man
Nice job, from America, U.S.A!
Wish I was as good as these people I see on CZcams
Well done. Very cool. Lots of functionality without a table.
Great job! Respect
That is FANTASTIC. I hope you don’t mind, but I’m going to copy that for my workshop. Thanks for uploading.
My prayers are answered.Found the perfect router lift build. Thanks mate for sharing. One good thing from the corona lockdown.WILL build it tomorrow- 28/3/2020
