Irish charm...just beautiful. Him drunk on the last leg was one of the funniest things I've ever seen
Spot on, the big man is a belter
God he was incredible on that. Absolute legend.
Thanks, i'll watch it right away!
Michele Smith The fucking Banksy ting on the wall? 😂
Nickell Johnson was the Union Jack necessary?
I think I could listen to Chris talk forever. Not just because of the accent but he’s great at telling stories.
Kyle Sykes think that's just an Irish thing...... We can talk for HOURS XD
S W Well I could listen to you talk forever also. 😘
Kyle Sykes he is everything 🙌🏽
He narrates a cartoon called puffin rock
My daughter just cant get enough of him telling Arnie The Donut on storyline..and me too.."sure thing mister Bing!"
Every time he says "we," I imagine it's him and Moss 😄
yeah but remember, roy is the gander.
"It was Heaven ... in France ... well, they've been telling us for a while" - amazing
He actually talks more expressively than his character Roy! I love that he has so much personality. :) P.S. Jimmy actually did a good job here letting Chris talk and not interrupting him every 5 seconds to laugh & clap!
BlankCanvas88
I thought the very same thing - I was astonished by how long he managed to shut up!
He seemed to be really concentrating - trying to understand Chris' accent, me thinks
Miakoda //
Lol I bet you’re right!
He sounded tired
Conan is an absolute disaster for interruptions! No equal!
Such an Irish thing randomly bumping in to someone you know abroad
Seriously! You cant go anywhere!
It happens to Scottish people too. My dad was queueing to get some street food in Osaka, Japan and spotted one of his neighbours, who also happens to be the son of my dad’s friend, in a queue for a nearby stall. He walked up to him, tapped him on the shoulder and said, “Your dad told me to keep an eye on you.” Apparently the poor guy’s face turned white. 😂
Maybe it’s a Celtic thing. 🤔
My Aunt and Uncle emigrated from Ireland to Perth in Australia in the late 70's. About 10 years ago they go to their local pub and are served by a new barmaid. When they hear her accent they tell her they're Irish too and ask her where in Ireland she's from. She tell's them and my aunt says, "Oh wow. My Sister and her husband and my nephews are from x town too. They own a shop near the Seafront. The Barmaid replies, "Your not 'Calibos' Aunt are you!!!!
A few years later the Perth Aunt and Uncle go out to have dinner with my uncles Boss and family. The Bosses daughter brings her new Boyfriend to the dinner. Turns out he's Irish. They ask him where in Ireland he's from and he tells them. "Oh Wow. My Sister and her husband and my nephew's are from x town too. They own a shop near the seafront. The Bosses Daughters Boyfriend replies, "Calibos' Newsagents? LOL. They've leased that building from my family for decades. My Mother is their landlady!"
Perth Aunt and Uncle retire back to Ireland in 2012. Their son (my cousin) came over to ireland this June to visit them with his wife and kids for a 5 week holiday. One of the days on a whim, they all headed up deep into the beautiful Wicklow mountains for a hike. Cousins Wife walks into a workmate from back in Perth down some remote hiking trail. Friend vaguely aware that cousins wife was visiting her Irish inlaws sometime this Summer. Cousins Wife vaguely aware that workmate was doing a walking tour of Europe sometime this Summer. Meeting in the arsehole of nowhere up some mountains in Ireland definitely not planned. LOL
15,000 kilometres away!!
My ma and da were staying in a resort in lanzarote, they kept slagging the couple in the apartment underneath them as they were constantly sitting on the balcony playing the same few songs over and over again, the couple turned out to be my da's brother and his wife who he hasn't seen in roughly 8 years! So they reminisced with each other for the rest of their holidays and now it's been 2 years since they last seen each other lol.
It happens to everyone. Everywhere.
Chris O'Dowd in The IT Crowd is one of the best characters in TV history EVER!!!
probably my fav show, but renom (son) did it the most for me FATTHERRRRRR
Totally He was not appreciated as much as he should have been - quite a brilliant comedian and I think made the show.
did you see that ludicrous display last night?
What was Wenger thinking sending Walcott on that early?
The thing about Arsenal is, they always try and walk it in.
True. See you later
Whats going to happen when they find out i dont know what a pony is
you guys are killin me! lol! thanks for that laugh, I love that show.
Chris Dowd is amazing! He's always so fun to watch...loved the episode on Graham Norton when he accidently drank the fly..hilarious!!

Aya it crowed!!
This entire interview is great.
Watch when he's on Graham Norton with Kristin Wiig...talk show gold.
"That's right, I'm a good girl"
I love that the comments here are just 50% quotes from the IT crowd...
That's because he's NOT a window cleaner!
Nice screensaver!
Hot ear.
I can confirm he did very well in his interview I was impressed!
There's a GREAT interview with Chris on Jarlath O'Reagan's "An Irishman Abroad" podcast. It's about an hour long, and Chris talks about his early life, school (including this Paris story), his other work, and other stuff. So funny, and so delightful. It's well worth looking for.
Chris O'Dowd is cute and adorable.
Is it me or is he talking slower than usual so the American audience can understand??
Yep
@lxulcu He's not drunk/tipsy, it's just a Roscommon accent:)
Edit** Watch him on The Last Leg, he was having birthday celebrations & kinda forgot to stop. Its hilarious
It was very funny. thanks. @@aoifed8913
I think it's so Jimmy Fallon can understand. Even worse than the average American.
I think it’s called being well oiled. 😉
This is the best interview I have seen in a looong time😂😂😂🇮🇪🇮🇪
he's hilarious,, im from ireland and never heard a person so irish lol
He sounds way more Irish than the last time I heard him, also a higher voice lol.
Adelaide McMillan 😂😂plenty laughs but not a word understood.
yeah seen the graham norton video, really hard to understand lol
Those rowers are from skibereen in Cork, even irish people don't understand the accent from there lol
The 'Actor' was Michael Fassbender who is German Irish and is from Kerry. Usually the Kerry accent is even more unintelligible than the Skibbereen Cork accent of the rowers but Fassbenders Killarney Kerry accent has softened after his years of Globetrotting and international fame.

This is amazing. I think this is the first interview that I’ve heard where Jimmy Fallon actually let his guest talk. It was so enjoyable.
I love this guy. “I have the skeletal structure of a broken giraffe “
He says of a very old giraffe, not a broken giraffe.
Donna Lawless whatever
This is why I love the Irish. They tell such great tales in such a captivating way.
A rare interview where Jimmy lets the guest talk
What a great way to find work abroad!

I've heard the French are very open to strangers sleeping on their dingies.
This story is hilarious.
Chris is one of the cutest guys ever!
Aw Chris. I love him so much.
He’s the ideal chat show guest. Just set him up and off he goes. So witty and great to listen to.
I agree, lol.
I luuuuv Chris O'Dowd!
This guy should narrate things
He actually narrates a kids show on Netflix called “Puffin Rock”. He’s brilliant!
Check him out in "Moone Boy"- he's the narrator and the hero's imaginary friend. It was on Hulu, last time I checked.
I'm disabled!
beryllium oh i get it youre irish! cmon get up!

People who haven't seen IT Crowd are:
1. Missing out
2. Thinking you are disabled
It's so nice to see a show where they just let the guest talk! Fantastic.❤
Fing about the French team is, they always try an' walk it in.
U referencing that cheat Henry
BRING BACK MOON BOY!!!
He makes me proud to be irish
It's the most brutal war on the pitch, is Gaelic Football. Endlessly alarming played by the most hard bodied men I have ever seen.
Especially the children who are still learning how to get the ball properly. Full on rugby tackling each other 😂😂
What a great story.... I agree, just LOVED I.T.!!!😀
From seeing him on the last leg everytime I see him on a talk show I always think he's hammered but Chris is cool & I love him
What a great story!!

A true Irishman with the "gift of the gab", he must have kissed the Blarney Stone. I love him. Never change Chris, stay as sweet as you are.

Hilarious! The Paris part was a good laugh!
as a French guy that july 98 night in Paris will forever have a special place in my heart. Actually I'm getting teary-eyed just thinking of it......Once in a lifetime thing, but I guess most people here won't understand......

It's pretty strange for me that this guy doesn't get more recognition than some phony film starts from hollywood. He is hilarious.
