It call in Thai. " kao-nhaew-piak-Lamyi" kao-nhaew-piak is sticky rice with coconut milk. Lamyi is longan. Or with other seed plant.

Nam Prik is basic simple food since the ancient time of Thai peopel. We eat it with some vegetables. Thai foods have many textures in one bite as well as the balancing of flavors , however they still have strong taste since we eat kab khao (food) with Thai jasmine rice when it comes to meal not snack or sweet. So next time it would better also geting more harmonized taste if you eat rice with other kab khao(s) especially with Namprik. Hope you enjoy eating Thai foods na ka. Sa Wad Dee Ka.

You can easily fix it by sipping a warm soup, the spiciness will subside and disappear.
