This scene kills me. Although I am happy that Killian was returned, the fact that it was at the expense Robin dying and Regina losing her true love once again, it makes it bittersweet. It's sad that they couldnt do the same for her as they did for Emma.
this might be far fetched, but i think robin paid the price of emma's darkness. Remember when emma cured him with dark magic, since it always comes with a price. I'm guessing after emma was free from the dagger, robin had to pay the price.
@@savior04 that’s a valid assumption actually. Originally he was supposed to be taken to the Underworld by that creature, but that ended up not happening, so it makes sense that he needed to pay that price.
Shame, I think Zelena really did love Hades and was willing to forget everything else to be with him, but Hades just wasn't ready to return the favour, he still wanted his kingdom and 'everything'. Just like with Rumple and Belle, she was prepared to give it all for him but he just couldn't let go of his power for her. I'm sure Hades did love Zelena, just not enough.
Oh he absolutely loved the hades out of Zelena. I think the audience and writers of OUAT forget there's different kinds of love and all of them are true, just not as "pure" as everyone wants them to be. Hades loved her - in the same way she loved her sister's "other" side. Frankly I believe he loved both sides of her, but especially her malevolence, same way she was so upset when Regina destroyed the part of her "most like me (Zelena)", but it was her malevolent side - the side spurned and left behind by her family and especially sister - that he adored, which was very different from literally everyone else who kept wanting to change her. What he made her do here was how he felt towards HIS family, and how he knew she had felt towards hers. Not to mention he was a grandiose lover - when he falls in love, he FALLS. He wanted to give the girl who had nothing, everything. Literally EVERYTHING. Storybrooke was a start. He'd probably want to take over the world to give it to her, too. In that sense, I believe Regina is completely wrong. Hades already tore up a contract binding him the service of one of the most powerful magic users from the surface for her. I'd wager he would literally give everything to her. But for that, he needed his power - but even then, I believe he'd sacrifice himself for her, too.
it's not in this scene but regina had a point when she told emma that whenever emma's upset and loses someone everyone follows her to hell but when it's regina who loses her love she's told to sit out so she doesn't become evil again
Emma has been an orphan for 28 years, she was betrayed and had to let go of her son, she lost Graham and Neal and still didn't start a genocide. I think she deserves being followed to hell.

Saddest scene in one of the best story arc's of the show. They both came accross what were essentially there 2nd chance at love. Regina wanted to be with Daniel but Cora killed him, then Hades took out Robin Hood on her. Even though timelines are questionable when Zelena denied that she could be loved by Hades (I do think he loved her, in a similiar fashion rumple loves belle but also loves his power til NEARLY the end), she met someone else prior she cared about and let him become "tin-man" because she wouldn't give up anything for her power. Love, and power, fight each other so much on this show. I still don't think killing Robin Hood was a good idea, and sucky season 7 never even showed what "normal not fairytaleland" person she was in love with, I'd like to think in there lives Zelena told that guy everything, plus seeing is believing, and she was then happy. Also that Dr. Facilier survived the stab and wasn't really truly evil (in this version) and is redeemed by her and they were able to be happy. Not saying "every woman needs a man" but these two were so deep at heart it's sad they lost so much.

Regina have a power hungry mother who took everything away that she ever love. Them two grow up in an unlove homes, have ppl judge them for having magic, made bad desicons but try to fix it yet ppl still judge them. These two are forever my favorite.

Honestly it annoys me the way that whenever Zelena or Regina reach what they think is happiness they get screwed over and lose it. And then whenever the Charming family is on the brink of losing everything they succeed and everything works out. It’s messed up that a show that focuses so much on happy endings would chose to never give a happy ending to two of the most important characters. I mean it takes till Season 6 for Regina to realistically get her happy ending and it basically takes till season 7 for Zelena to get hers while Emma gets hers and is able to keep hold of her ending forever same with Charming and Snow. It’s stupid.
I don't know but I might be the only person who was crying so hard that Zades got broke up ,_, I wanted desperately for it to work out. I hope somehow somehow he survived. I truly believe he loved her and did it because of wanting both love and to rule.

I shipped Zades because it was the first time I saw Zelena happy. He was her first love and they were kinda adorable but in the end he had to die. I was glad he died of course but I still think Zelena truly loved him and would have given up everything else for him. All she wanted was him and her daughter but he thought that wasn't enough
As sad and heartbreaking this scene is, I have to point out that it was necessary. Main characters have to die in order for a story to have high stakes. And between Robin and Regina, I think the choice was obvious. As for the other characters, Emma was the main main character, so they couldn't kill her, they spent more than half the season trying to save Killian from death so killing him would be a cheap move and undo all the work, Belle was pregnant and the writers don's have the guts to go that far, Rumple had unfinished business with potential for another storyline, and Snowing barely interacted with or had had anyhting to do with Hades, plus they share a heart, so if one of them was killed, they would both die. Also, I'm pretty sure that this is the first main character permanent death since Neal in s3, so it was about time for another.

Wow a response 10 months later, but here we go anyways. I think the justification was that Hook's soul could be brought back. It was still in existence, just in the afterlife. Whereas when Robin got hit by the Olympian crystal, his soul was essentially obliterated out of existence. So even if they could reanimate the body, it would lack a soul to give it life, to make it Robin.
Zelena is to good for Hades. Regina and Zelena are each others happy ending. If I had to choose between sister love and true love, I would choose sister love. Me and my sister are like The Wicked Witch and The Evil Queen, she's the queen and I'm the witch. I would kill my true love for my sister anytime. I can find a new true love, but I only have one sister.
Love does require sacrifice. Love is to be reciprocated. If you're not willing to make a sacrifice, how can you even help the other flourish? Zelena was clearly willing to make a sacrifice, and yet Hades isn't? It might as well be her getting grifted. He gets everything and she gets nothing.
Yeah I do feel for Regina, believe me I do. I do but it gave her a chance to be a mum. Without Robin and Regina constanttly stopping her from seeing her daughter. And yes I do have a heart.
I love how in season 7 Ella is so dramatic like always complaining and comparing how Henry had an easier life and all ends well for him etc but WTF GIRL He lost his dad at age 13, he was separated for a year from the woman who raised him, he went through depression at age 10 and was desperate because nobody could see what he saw, he got torn between his cursed self and his real self, having fake memories to live with when he was just a child, he also at this age had to see Regina get multiple injuries all the time (the writers seemed to love physically injuring her), he saw his step dad die right in front of him, same for his birth mother and adoptive mother (okay they all came back to life but that's freaking shocking for him nonetheless), and his other step dad died for real, and also he had to spend a lot of time in the underworld which is a horrible place, and he got kidnapped by psychopaths who forced him to fight and separated him from his family and almost died because his freaking heart was stolen and then got trapped in a small box (which happened to the fairies too and Blue said it was horrible), and then he also went through a sleeping curse. He went through so much and Ella had the nerve to tell him his life was easier than hers

And then whenever the Charming family is on the brink of losing everything they succeed and everything works out. It’s messed up that a show that focuses so much on happy endings would chose to never give a happy ending to two of the most important characters. I mean it takes till Season 6 for Regina to realistically get her happy ending and it basically takes till season 7 for Zelena to get hers while Emma gets hers and is able to keep hold of her ending forever same with Charming and Snow. It’s stupid.

I don't know but I might be the only person who was crying so hard that Zades got broke up ,_, I wanted desperately for it to work out. I hope somehow somehow he survived. I truly believe he loved her and did it because of wanting both love and to rule.

Honestly, people ship Zades? I see Hades as nothing but a manipulator. I ship Zelena and Victor(Whale). Victor looking like his true self from before the curse and Zelena in her gorgeous dress and hat...now that is a hot pairing 😍
I shipped Zades because it was the first time I saw Zelena happy. He was her first love and they were kinda adorable but in the end he had to die. I was glad he died of course but I still think Zelena truly loved him and would have given up everything else for him. All she wanted was him and her daughter but he thought that wasn't enough

As sad and heartbreaking this scene is, I have to point out that it was necessary. Main characters have to die in order for a story to have high stakes. And between Robin and Regina, I think the choice was obvious. As for the other characters, Emma was the main main character, so they couldn't kill her, they spent more than half the season trying to save Killian from death so killing him would be a cheap move and undo all the work, Belle was pregnant and the writers don's have the guts to go that far, Rumple had unfinished business with potential for another storyline, and Snowing barely interacted with or had had anyhting to do with Hades, plus they share a heart, so if one of them was killed, they would both die. Also, I'm pretty sure that this is the first main character permanent death since Neal in s3, so it was about time for another.

Wow a response 10 months later, but here we go anyways. I think the justification was that Hook's soul could be brought back. It was still in existence, just in the afterlife. Whereas when Robin got hit by the Olympian crystal, his soul was essentially obliterated out of existence. So even if they could reanimate the body, it would lack a soul to give it life, to make it Robin.
Zelena is to good for Hades. Regina and Zelena are each others happy ending. If I had to choose between sister love and true love, I would choose sister love. Me and my sister are like The Wicked Witch and The Evil Queen, she's the queen and I'm the witch. I would kill my true love for my sister anytime. I can find a new true love, but I only have one sister.

I love how in season 7 Ella is so dramatic like always complaining and comparing how Henry had an easier life and all ends well for him etc but WTF GIRL
He lost his dad at age 13, he was separated for a year from the woman who raised him, he went through depression at age 10 and was desperate because nobody could see what he saw, he got torn between his cursed self and his real self, having fake memories to live with when he was just a child, he also at this age had to see Regina get multiple injuries all the time (the writers seemed to love physically injuring her), he saw his step dad die right in front of him, same for his birth mother and adoptive mother (okay they all came back to life but that's freaking shocking for him nonetheless), and his other step dad died for real, and also he had to spend a lot of time in the underworld which is a horrible place, and he got kidnapped by psychopaths who forced him to fight and separated him from his family and almost died because his freaking heart was stolen and then got trapped in a small box (which happened to the fairies too and Blue said it was horrible), and then he also went through a sleeping curse. He went through so much and Ella had the nerve to tell him his life was easier than hers
