I've been playing monster rancher most of my life in solitude, I'm glad to see there are other ultra nerds out there making monster rancher content

I love prioritizing and ranking the monsters stats for a better combination. I think it is fairly intuitive. A powerful monster + a powerful monster = a powerful baby. But the rarity of the predicted result, combined with the difficulty of influencing which result you get has been the most difficult part of the process.

I raised a Kanegon and a Baltan in the same way, and combined them and ended up with a Baltan with its important stats half maxed. It's crazy.

One thing that surprises me is how it's possible to get lower than base stats on the baby's SPD through fusion
yeah it seems to add to the base stats based on bonuses but also looks like it might subtract if your stats are bad enough
@@Moosebones I made a mistake in my comment. It's not possible to get stats below the base stats. I made the wrong assumption when one parent kaiju had a stat below the baseline and the outcome turned out to be lower than what I calculated

Could you give an example, maybe as a screenshot of the LegendsCup Fusion Calculator, of what it would look like to fuse a monster with stupid-high stats? I think having a visual of that would be really helpful for seeing more examples of what could be made.

I was going to do this originally but ran out of time. Its incredibly time consuming to get everything ready in the first place only to have to rely on a 3% roll afterwards. I'll make a super baby on stream soon and post a follow up video so you can see whats possible.
@@Moosebones That would be awesome! But that's also why I was thinking even just an image of what great stats look like on the Fusion Calculator would be enough, so you didn't have to do all that work. But if you want to, I'd be glad to see it!
Maybe I missed it but how did you know using the mystic chip guaranteed the baltan? Did you just try the combos before stream or is there some secret to a mystic stone?
I just knew bc i set up the save ahead of time, sorry if I wasn't clear about that

I was just on LegendsCup to check on the fusion calculator and learning before watching the video. Great explanation video but how in the heckles did you get their stats to 10k? Do you concentrate on Errantries or just drills with no rest?
Errantries done specifically for stats are only worth it if you have a trait that boosts them and you do them when the stat lines up wih the preferred stat of the trainer. You can net like 1k a month if your monster excels in that stat. The real way to raise stats is to follow the no rest method I outlined in yesterday's video czcams.com/video/5Cdn3cm6wq8/video.html

How do you get the mystic chip?
Unrelated to combination but it’s funny remembering Nash wondering whether Defense was actually good in this game in previous videos only to see CoolLobster with almost maxed Defense.
Turns out tanks are still sorta bad

So... how do you figure out a monster's stat gains without using the calculator on the website?
The game will give you clues in the field guide for any monster whose loyalty you've gotten to 100, but other than that you just need to look at the site for the datamined statistics

Yeah. I'm just gonna' hire you as a consultant to help me breed MR2 critters that don't suck. Or kidnap Bacon or something. It would definitely be faster to drive from Middle America to wherever Canadia than my English major lizard brain figuring out the stat calculator and building a pimped out baby Golem.
That's really all I want. 20 years later. I just wanna' breed a baby Golem that doesn't require insane grinding.

This is honestly WAY too complicated for the average player. Why is this so non-intuitive? I love MR, but I can't grasp this and the right combinations of monsters to know what I'm doing.
The average player doesn't need to make a baby kaiju with 7000 in every stat. Also, ironically, this is the most intuitive combination system in the franchise.
