@@wulfenii64 thank u🙏
Hello Chui-- can you please tell us the places where you ate?
Quiapo , Manila
@@wulfenii64 ¹1 Q¹
I'm so happy to see Chui in a video again! He's so friendly and knowledgeable. And he takes you to the best places.
I'm so happy that you visited my country and loving the delicious Filipino cuisines especially Halal ones, and the warmth and hospitality. Hope to see you again. 😋❤️🇵🇭
Dodol we called it in Indonesia, thanks Luke just what I need! halal food place info in manila coz I will be visiting Manila this end of Aug!
Dudul is also known as dodol in the Malay archipelago. Oh Philippines, our long lost Malay brother due to invasion of Spanish.
Maranao tribe in the Philippines is always the one making dodol and beef randang, this is one of my favourite as a maranao this food only prepared or cook and can eat it at special occasions like eid'fitr and eid'adha.. and i know we adopt this kind of cooking from Indonesia and Malaysia
I've been to that muslim town many times and I have to say what they got from the rendang place is definitely the vlogger's serving. Other customers will get the same amount of rice but only a quarter of the meat shown on video. You can even see the lady adjusting the serving size when she realized she's still on camera.
Mashallah all the food looks extremely delicious ❤
Religious dietary restrictions are such a foreign concept for me. I appreciate these videos as they give me a glimpse of something I would otherwise never have a chance to see personally.
That glutinous rice dessert looks like clay, delicious and fun, haha!
That plate of fried noodles looks delicious, the ingredients inside are rich, and with lemon juice, my mouth is watering!
I am very happy to know the main ingredient of rendang for the first time, it looks delicious and cheap!
There are many types of halal food in Philippines, and each item looks delicious, thank you for sharing! 👍🥰🙏
So many interesting foods in the Philippines!! Thanks Gianni!
@@LukeMartin It is my pleasure, thanks to you too!

Love your collaboration! Have more travels together, you guys look fun to watch!!
I’m from Malaysia 🇲🇾 and exciting looking for Malaysian food there. Hope wanna try Filipino cuisine in halal version like Adobo, Sinigang bangus, pinakbet, halo-halo, bibingka, turon…glass noodle soup
There are a lot of halal local food in Ermita, Manila. It's because that area hosts a lot of work and travel agencies that cater to Middle Eastern hiring companies. Also it's nice to know that it is near Manila's top historic sites. Don't skip Manila! Hope you enjoy if ever you plan a trip to our capital.
Indonesia selalu di hati ya luke ..Enjoying all the halal food..
Through the history ages ago, that's why we shared the similar cuisine, just sometimes with different names. Its fascinating by the way to see the similarity here and it looks delicious too.
It looks sooo good, I would eat that as well I love to try too!
There used to be a place in Quiapo where they sell roasted chicken with different kinds of rice. This was way back in the early 2000s. I don't know if they're still there.
Suprising me a lot indonesian food there : Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng, Rendang, Dodol 😊
There are also Indonesian food stalls in Greenhills shopping mall in San Juan, Metro Manila. I've been to Jakarta before and when I went to Greenhills, I saw this stall and ordered beef rendang. The owners are Filipino Moslems from Mindanao. I befriended and talked to them. Other outlets sell nasi goreng, chicken curry (I forgot the native term)...
@@ronnienestorsan banda to?
@@newbie6377 San Juan.

the rendang looks very alike.yes we eat it with glutinous rice or we called it as pulut.
the dodol is the same.whenever we celebrate eudil fitri and eidul adha dodol will be one of the food been serves.

If you go to the Philippines, just look for the Muslim community and there will be halal food.
Great that u like our food in philippines, im a fun of your channel keep up the Good work..... Been watching all your videos for 7 years
Great to see u in this video thanks ❤
Some info on why you are seeing some Malaysian resto/dish in the Muslim community here in the Philippines:
The southernmost part of the country in the Mindanao area, specifically on the tip most islands like Tawi-tawi, are just boat ride away from Sabah, Malaysia. Sabah Malaysia is one of the disputed islands that we and Malaysia have eversince but not being explored much by the govt. Nevertheless, the trade of commodities and interaction and exchange of cultural heritage are common in that part of the country.
Loving the awesome food! Looks delicious Luke, I have to try Malaysian food for sure.
Fascinating didn’t know there was a sizeable muslim community in the Philippines
Well, once upon a time Philippines is a Muslim dominated country. Islam came to the Philippines 400 years before Christianity.
I loved when you tried the 18 cent meal, not expecting much, then you said it was the best thing you tried all day.
Amazing Work 👍
the PASTIL kinda reminds me of Japan's ONIGIRI, small and round and can be eaten while on travels..
4:45 that lime is also everywhere in my city, we call it jeruk kunci (key lime). We put it everywhere and even have lemonade drink out of it.
Oh Masha'Allah... My fav pastil😍😍😍❤️
I've been to quiapo many times but never discovered muslim town, woooh i need to go there and try all their food.
In Indonesia we called it DODOL. Its betawi kind of sweet
Dodol garut x 🤡🤡
I didn't realize there was a large Muslim community I was under the impression it was a Roman catholic nation. Learn something new every day if you don't its a wasted day😁
Thanks for watching and glad you learned something too!
Before the Philippines was a colony of Spain and converted to Catholicism, the Philippines was first and foremost a Muslim group of islands.

That mee goreng is so Malaysian style of mee goreng. Teh tarik as well. Maybe next time you can use fork when squeezing the lime. So the seeds don't get into your food

Food halal from japan in Filipino muslim?
Pero walang baboy?
Dito sa Taguig city muslim
Maharlika village, mosque Masjid big blue 🔵 halal food
Takoyaki from Japan
Cheese takoyaki
That's dodol!
When you see steam coming of the food in Manila, you can assume it’s HOT!!!
White scallions!
The most delicious sambal for me, but most Indonesians don't know about that white scallions. I can only find them in Central Kalimantan, my home. I live in South Kalimantan, never see them
Very interesting!
It's not common among the Filipinos, it's primary consume by us, Meranaws and other Muslim tribes here in the Southern Philippines
Pastil is like Pinoy onigiri
Your so cute ❤❤
@_Lukemartin01 wow thanks 😊
6:58 Luke got 100 new female subscribers for this video I am sure
Hi , iam from indo, and fell like iam home with the atmosfere, food the market. And most is the cute chick in coulerful body 😁
Apa kabar, seems that all are the same with Indonesian and Malay food.
all likely indonesian food
not even candy anymore in america for .18
Not me!
Dudul is Dodol in Indonesia. We are truly brother. 💝 from Indonesia.
Really? I thought it was originally Meranaw delicacy. Ma Sha Allah
get some n take to hotel room n eat later
More like affordable not Cheap!
Been to the Teh Tarik tea karenderia and worth the P30. Yung Mii Goreng i do not like it’s taste and texture. Parang weird ng pagkakaluto. Should have tried the Chocolate flat bread. parang lasang deconstructed Banana Q. other than that wala nako nagustuhan dun sa Karenderia, yang Dalawa lang worth it bilin twice sa isang upuan.
Malay and Indonesian food are mostly spicy quite different than Filipino food. But if you are used to it, hanap hanapin mna kabayan.
That was sad seeing dyed baby chicks. Is the dye safe for the chicks? I've heard it's not and many of them die.
It's sad when they kill it in haram way..so dramatic
Dudul from Dodol (Indonesian)
Not from.don't simply claim it.our forefathers never been to indonesia.we are abundants with coconut here all year round.
❤❤
18 cent's is cheaper. You can buy food in America by 18 cent.
Filipino! Masarap po 😋🤤👍
