Indeed, even I that was born in 81, can see two major changes in my nation. We sure did incredible job. Even while our national sport was complaining about bad national road network, now is one of the best, too.

I was there one year ago I fall in love with Athens. While when I was teenager I study the Ancient Greek then after 40years I was in the acropolis. Love the country the people the weather everything... felt that I was in home ❤️🇬🇷❤️ wanna return for the second part

First time seeing Athens. I'm very impressed.
One of the great cities to visit or live there. All toll, I've spent almost six months there, and climbed the Acropolis 16 times. Constitution square has always been a focal point of the city. I'm too old to return, but I still have great memories.

What an awesome video! I haven’t seen Athens since 1998. It has changed a lot since then, it looks beautiful! Hope to return! God bless Greece. 🙏🏻 🇬🇷
Does it look better than it did in 1998?
It did change. Generally, the last 30 years was like our country took almost 2 complete facelifts. One from 1990 to 2000 and then 2000-2010 which decade included the Olympics. Even my neighborhood is unrecognizable. And it's not like we were missing much, just complete remakes, renews, upgrades. Later, the damn crisis hit in 2009 and we lost a decade. Now we began again. When Athens will finish the Hellinikon Project and other ones, modern buildings for companies which are in plans, it's going to be astonishing. The best part, though, it wasn't only Athens. Small towns and of course our Islands became true beauties as well. Too much money passed by Greek hands but we didn't manage to handle it better, unfortunately. Our damn mentality ( everything is fleeting, live now that you can ). Anyway, Greece never dies. We're going strong for at least the last 3000 years. 🙂

I haven't been to Greece for almost 2 years now. For personal issues first and now due to covid. I decided to not visit my home country last summer cause I was thinking to protect my mother and the rest of the world by minimizing my travels. You have no idea how much this video helped me, this lonely night in Amsterdam, far from home.
My favorite place to go for a walk is always the center, especially Plaka.

Wanna know something crazy?? I live in Athens and i cannot go down town, Acropolis, Syndagma square and most of these beautiful places because of covid restrictions. Lately the goverment issued a new rule were you have to shop, do chores and in general move around a radius of 2 km from your home. Athens is now a ghost town. Especially after 6 o 'clock in the evening you rarely see anyone around. Thank you for this video it reminded me how my beautiful city used to be.
Let's hope everything is going to be like before.
