Sir, thank you. The concept that you’re speaking about is what i’ve thought for days now. Most parents ruin the professional lives of their children by not respecting them enough when they’re still young. I’m genuinely pleased to see how you address this complex situation.
I'm a physician in the United States. I do understand Urdu since I was raised in a Pakistani family. What you are saying is a message that parents need to hear and absorb. I was a victim of physical and emotional abuse my entire life by both my mother and father. And even now as an adult it still continues. It is a horrible and painful thing. Pride, ego, and narcissism are the root cause. Cultural justification enables it. We have to remind our parents what our prophet Muhammad peace be upon him would think if he observed the abuse. As a child and adult it makes it doubly difficult since in Islam we're supposed to respect and love our parents. I do hope God forgives victims of this abuse and holds them to a different standard regarding this commandment.
I'm a physician from NY. I also suffered verbal abuse. Our society is a sick society. We are the pioneer s to change that attitude. The best way to that is to give respect and love ❤️ but I agree it's very difficult.

This was unique, sacred, and superlative for me! Never heared such a discussion by anyone. Every single time, people talk only about the rights of parents, their honor, and respect. I'm obviously not against it, but not a single soul is bothered with the blatant & heinous mistakes the parents commit while upbringing their children. "Respecting the children" is completely taboo, alienated, and never heared of and even mocked up on in our society, no one can even think about respecting the children. Parents take their children for granted, they think they own their children, and so the child is denied his very existence, his fundamental rights. Parents think of themselves as some sort of diety that must be worshipped at any cost by their children. If refused, the entire life of the children is showered by curse, blasphemy, and all forms of negative feedback and haunting spells. Parents hijack their children's entire life & its decisions, and command the children to blindly carry out their commandments no matter how irrelevant & impractical & outdated they may be, they just don't care. Parents are so immersed in their own ego and holiness that they themselves can't distinguish whether they are sober or drunk. I can't articulate enough how endearing this discussion was to my heart, because the kind of miserable, depressed, anxious, and stressed life that I've been through so far.. so I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I pray that may Almighty grant you the best of rewards in this life and in hereafter (aameen, insha'Allah)! We took care of our child very well till 5 yrs old alhamdulillah. However due to lost of 2nd child n lods of ups n downs for third child . We are very disturbed n our same behavior goes to my first child his behavior drastically changed now n day by day changing 😭 he is feeling the same n going thru the same wat ever points u discussed. I hope tmrrw will b the fresh day in shaa allah. He is 6 yrs old now hope things comes back to his n our favour . Hope we both parents understand him

My mother and teachers opined that i can do nothing in my career since the age of school till college life I heard this .... It took a long time for me to take myself out of it. I was badly beaten at home and at school because of my marks in English and mathematics. . I was too afraid to get closer to any person as I was afraid that they may beat me. And I am 39 right now .. I enjoy sitting alone.
At the age of 35 i finally had the courage to tell my father exactly what i thought of him, ever since that day my parents are now scared of me.

We took care of our child very well till 5 yrs old alhamdulillah. However due to lost of 2nd child n lods of ups n downs for third child . We are very disturbed n our same behavior goes to my first child his behavior drastically changed now n day by day changing 😭 he is feeling the same n going thru the same wat ever points u discussed. I hope tmrrw will b the fresh day in shaa allah. He is 6 yrs old now hope things comes back to his n our favour . Hope we both parents understand him
I proud of my father, , he always treated me like i am a leader or a most intelligent person..he always said i m his proud☺
My father insults me mostly..even now I'm over 30 now .. this demaged my personality..like self confidence..unfortunelty we have not seen properly gudiance from teachers and ulma.
